Calling this number will get you to Meta's headquarters, but you won't be able to use this number to get any help with Facebook or any other Meta product. When you dial, the automated message confirms that you have reached Meta. However, it doesn't take you to any other menu. It simply tells you that if you want support with Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or another Meta product, you'll need to go onto their website and visit the help center.
At this point, the message gives you the full address for the help center, www.meta.com/help. It repeats the message twice and spells out the full address letter by letter, including the forward slash before help. It adds that at this time, Meta is currently unable to provide customer service over the phone and then says goodbye before hanging up.
Researching this number reveals that it was once used as a workaround to try to get in touch with someone at Facebook. However, it doesn't appear that Facebook has ever actually endorsed using this as a method of customer service. A Reddit post with this number says it worked for Facebook and allowed them to leave a message, but it hung up automatically when it was tried for Instagram.
However, that post is dated four years ago, before Facebook eliminated roughly 10,000 jobs. While it's impossible to know if any of them were in the call center, it seems that Facebook took the time to close this loophole to contact them while eliminating employee roles. There's no mention of this number anywhere on Facebook, except for one rogue group that uses the phone number as its title in an attempt to pass along Facebook's phone number to the masses.
Nobody associated with Facebook appears to endorse this number as a way to contact them, and no other results on the first page of search engines for this number connect to Facebook in any way. Each post that appears suggests that it was once used to get Facebook on the phone, but the number clearly no longer works.
Obviously, I cannot suggest using this number for anything other than getting the website of Meta's help center. If you happen to be away from your computer and need help from Meta, calling this number can get you to the website to request assistance with a Meta product. Otherwise, there is no benefit to calling this number, as it doesn't allow you to interact with Facebook or any of Meta's products at all.
This is Facebook's best phone number, the real-time current wait on hold and tools for skipping right through those phone lines to get right to a Facebook agent. This phone number is Facebook's best phone number because 1,275,102 customers like you used this contact information over the last 18 months and gave us feedback. Unfortunately, no Facebook customer service agents pick up the phone, so we've compiled other ways to solve common issues that customers call 650-543-4800 for, including Recover Disabled Account, Recover Hacked Account, Problem With a Page, Reset Password, Can't Receive Code to Reset and other customer support issues. The Facebook call center that you call into is answered by their IVR or robotic phone menu system which of course is open 24/7. In total, Facebook has 1 phone number. It's not always clear what is the best way to talk to Facebook representatives, so we started compiling this information built from suggestions from the customer community. Please keep sharing your experiences so we can continue to improve this free resource.
GetHuman does not provide call center services or customer support operations for Facebook. The two organizations are not related. GetHuman builds free tools and shares information to help customers of companies like Facebook. For large companies that includes tools such as our GetHuman Phone, which allows you to call a company but skip the part where you wait on the line to get a live human rep. We continue to work on these tools to help customers like you (and ourselves!) navigate the messy phone menus, hold times, and confusion with customer service. As long as you keep sharing it with your friends and loved ones, we'll keep doing it.
