There are several signs that suggest your Facebook account was hacked:You find posts you didn't make or messages you didn't send.Your profile picture has been changed.You can't log in to your account even though you are using the right username and password.You receive an email from Facebook that says that someone tried to log in to your account and it wasn't you.You receive an email from Facebook saying that your password was changed, or that a new phone or email address was added to your account and you did not do it.If you cannot access your Facebook account, it is possible that the account was shut down because of violations of the terms of service or temporarily restricted while the company investigates a report of such a violation. If you can no longer access your email or phone number linked to your Facebook account, skip to step 6.
If you can access the email linked to your Facebook account but the email linked to your Facebook account was changed by the hacker, skip to step 5.
You should now have regained access to your account and locked out the hacker.

Wait for a response from Facebook and follow whatever instructions you are given to finish recovering your account.
If the hacker did not lock you out of your account, change the password to lock them out. You should also turn on two-factor authentication, if you have not already done so. You might also want to turn on Advanced Protection.
