We can get a live person on the line for you

That same, free GetHuman Phone can call and navigate the menus and wait on hold for you, but you can opt to do all the talking. We notify you when a rep is on the line and ready to talk, so no need to worry about changing menu options and weaving your way through the maze.
Of course, we completely understand if you prefer to do all the dialing, waiting, and talking yourself. All of these free tools are optional.
GetHuman researchers routinely call this Dell phone number to document the phone system.
Here is how our research team describes the way the Dell phone system greets you: If you know the 7-digit extension, say or enter it now. Otherwise, what can I help you with?
Here is our latest tip for weaving through the phone menu to get to a real person the fastest: Press 0 then 0 then 6 then 2 then 0#
Below are some clips we've found from Dell's phone menus and tips that help give an idea of what you will encounter when you call. We've highlighted why they are important as well:

They may ask your reason for calling (instead of a menu)

"Or just choose from one of these options. Recent orders, make a purchase, billing issue, or technical support. I didn't quite get that. In a few words, please tell me what you're calling about, or just choose from one of these options."

They may ask you to say or enter information

"Thanks for choosing Gal. Your call may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. If you know the seven digit extension, say or enter it now."

What are the hours and when should I call?

Dell operates the call center for this 800-847-4096 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Friday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 346 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Dell call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Dell phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Dell staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Dell is Saturday. The most busy day to call is Thursday, which averages 215% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 346 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Tuesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Thursday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Dell

In summation, the best day to call Dell is Friday.

Calling this Dell Customer Number

Calling Dell was a surprisingly easy process, even though I was prepared to be on the line for a while. I was able to get through the menu fairly swiftly due to their automated voice assistant and was waiting in a hold line queue in less than a minute and a half. I have never been able to get to customer support that quickly for any major company outside of Apple.

I don't have a Dell product yet, but given how easy that customer support call was, I might be more inclined to consider it. I needed to talk to someone about a Dell tablet that I was thinking about buying. I wanted to know a little more about its specs, and I had a few compatibility issues because I wanted to make sure that it will integrate properly with my phone and my laptop. While they would all be PC products, I don't want to end up with issues transferring pictures, files, etc., down the line.

When I first called, the voice said, "Thanks for choosing Dell. Your call may be recorded for training purposes. If you know the seven-digit extension you are calling, you may say or enter it now. How may I help you?"

It took me a second to realize I was supposed to just answer the virtual assistant back, but then I said, "Talk about Dell tablets." Apparently, that was enough for her because she responded, "Okay, a tablet. Which do you need help with, tech support, a recent order or making a purchase?" I answered her, "making a purchase," and then she followed up with one more question for me. This time, she said, "Will this product primarily be for personal use or business use?" I responded that it was for personal use, and then she asked me to hold while she transferred me.

From here, I was put into the queue, and the hold music started to play. In between the hold music, I was reminded that Dell also offers support online, but I hung on the line because the whole point was I wanted to talk to someone. It did take roughly 10 minutes from this point, but I called later in the evening, and I think that helped with the hold time. When the agent did pick up, she was very friendly and able to answer all of my questions, so it was worth my time in the end.

As a last, sometimes only, resort- Dell customer service can be accessed through their website.
