Lyft is a major source of income for a lot of people, and a supplemental income for many more, so if you have had problems getting paid by Lyft, you want to get the problem taken care of as quickly as possible. The first thing to do is to figure out why you haven't received your pay. There are a few different reasons why this could be so. Read on to learn what they are.

Your Bank Card Number Changed

If you have recently gotten a new bank card and your bank card number has changed, this could prevent your bank from getting your Lyft payment. If your card number has changed, follow these instructions:

  1. Open the Lyft app.
  2. Tap the menu in the upper left corner.
  3. Select the Payment option.
  4. Fill out the required text fields and submit.

You should also contact Lyft's help center to let them know about the problem so they can get the payment resent. Their contact information can be found here.

You Entered the Wrong Routing or Account Numbers

To get paid by Lyft, you need to give them your bank account's routing and account numbers. They are long, and it can be easy to make a mistake when entering them. Check that the numbers are correct by following the instructions given above for updating your bank card number. If the numbers are incorrect, change them.

Bank Issues with ACH Transfers

Every time money is transferred from one bank account to another, or between a PayPal account or an investment account and a bank account, a process known as an ACH transfer is involved. Although ACH transfers are widely used, not every bank allows them. Somme allow them from some sources but not others. If this is your first time trying to get paid by Lyft, and none of the other reasons given here are the cause of the problem, you should check with your bank about their ACH policy, and ask if they think it could be causing problems. Additionally, even banks that allow ACH transfers might take a few days with the process. Your bank should be able to tell you if a transfer from Lyft is in the works.

Lyft Programming Problem

Lyft has a system for tracking where its drivers went so it can calculate their pay but, like with any program, things can occasionally go wrong when you encounter circumstances the programmers did not anticipate. Check your Lyft account. If it is not crediting you with miles that you have driven, the problem could be a programming error. If you think this has happened then you need to contact Lyft's help center and tell them what you think is going on. They will give you further instructions from there.

Other Issues

If none of the above suggestions have resolved the problem, you have something more unusual going on. You need to contact Lyft's help center to figure out what it is. Unfortunately, Lyft does not have a customer service phone number. Nor do they have live chat or customer service email options. The only way you can contact them is by their help desk. You can find the link here.

Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our Why Have I Not Been Paid by Lyft? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible.
