Caller accessibility is already greatly limited considering how poor the automated messaging system is. There isn't a proper phone menu or an immediate option to speak to a representative, and the voice-activation feature is bugged. Considering MetLife is a wildly wealthy corporation, they have the funds to correct this and improve their customer service phone numbers; yet, they don't, or have not. In my opinion, this communicates that the company isn't interested in hearing from or serving customers. They're only interested in customers' money, not their concerns.
You're better off using their website, which is probably what MetLife wants anyway, as it doesn't require any work on their end (and by work, I mean spending money).
