Why am I paying for a data plan on a tablet

XFINITY Mobile allows you to connect your tablet to the internet when you're away from Wi-Fi, like when you're travelling or out and about. To do this, you need a data plan. The data plan gives your tablet access to the cellular network so it can use internet services. Without a data plan, your tablet could only connect to the internet using Wi-Fi. So, if you're paying for a data plan on your tablet, it's typically because you require or opted for cellular connectivity that allows you to stay connected to the internet beyond the range of Wi-Fi.
