Once your device is connected to Verizon Wireless, a host of issues can affect your device. Some of the issues can be easy to figure out while some of them may be complex and you may require assistance from Verizon Wireless to solve them. Issues affecting your device that you may need support for include unlocking your device, issues with your SIM card or changing mobile numbers. Verizon has several avenues through which you can get device support including:

Support Page

Verizon has a very comprehensive support page. The page covers many issues that can affect your device. They have instructional articles on issues such as verifying device information, upgrading a device, removing or adding a device to Verizon Wireless and changing the address associated with a device. However, whenever you need device support, the first option should be to visit Verizon Wireless FAQ page. You can get device support using the following process:

  1. Launch your web browser
  2. Open the 'Verizon Wireless' website and sign in to your account
  3. In the top central part of the site's homepage you will see several tabs written in bold.
  4. Select the 'Support' tab
  5. On the following page you should clearly see the 'FAQ' option. If you are looking for device support, the 'Device Support' tab is also clearly marked on this page. You can click either option to get support for your device.

Phone Number

Another option you can use to get support for your device is to call the Verizon Wireless customer service number. This is probably the best option to get device support and should be done if the support page has proven inconclusive. The phone number is open from Monday to Friday as from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. C.S.T and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. C.S.T on Saturdays and Sundays. The average all wait time is 10 minutes but it can be as long as 15 minutes. You can find the number on GetHuman. You can also leave your number through the site so that Verizon Wireless can call you back and you can skip the hold time.

Live Chat

Verizon Wireless' live chat is also a viable option. The average wait time to get a response from a live chat agent is 21 minutes. The live chat option is available from Monday to Friday as from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. C.S.T and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. You can get the phone number from GetHuman.

Help Desk

For device support issues that are not urgent, you can contact Verizon Wireless through their online help desk. The Help Desk response time on average is 18 hours. Their busiest time is 9 a.m. so try reaching them at a different time. You can get the online desk details from GetHuman.

Mobile App

If you have more than one device, you can get support for your device through Verizon Wireless mobile app. The app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices and is completely free. Android users of Verizon will have to utilize the other options provided. To download the app:

  1. Launch the Apple app store from the alternative device
  2. Search for Verizon in the search bar on the landing page
  3. Select 'My Verizon' from the list of options
  4. Download the app and sign in to your Verizon account
  5. You will see the 'Support' tab in your homepage. Select it
  6. You can find a relevant topic on the page or use any of the contact details presented on the page to speak to support staff right from the app.
