How Do I Use My DoorDash Gift Card for My Purchase?
Open the Doordash app on your phone to use your Doordash gift card. Add items to your cart from your favorite restaurants and shops. Go to the Gift Cards section of your order summary screen, enter the promo code and complete checkout by adding payment information and shipping address. Doordash will email you confirming your order.
The way you redeem your gift card is to browse the Doordash site, and when you find something you want to buy, apply your gift card code as a payment method. If it's not an item that Doordash can ship directly to you, there will be options for where you can pick up the food, in which case a food courier will contact you to confirm your order. If you want to use your Doordash gift card for an order, follow these steps.
1. Log In to Your Account
Log in to your account and select Doordash Gift Card as your payment method. Enter your 16-digit code on the form provided by Doordash
2. Check Your Balance
Review your balance by tapping the Balance icon at the top of your screen. Then, tap Check Balance to see how much you have left on your gift card.
3. Enter the Gift Card Code
Add the gift card code from the back of your card into the box for a Gift Card Code and click Apply. You will see your gift card balance reflected on your purchase summary page before you confirm your order.
4. Select Your Delivery Address
After you add your Doordash gift card to your account, you can select your delivery address. To choose a delivery address:
- Select the Delivery tab on the main menu and click Change Delivery Address. This will take you to an interface where you can enter a new address and continue with checkout.
- If your desired address is not there, click Add Another Address.
5. Choose a Restaurant
The above step will take you to the restaurant's page, where you can review their menu items, hours of operation and payment options. Once you select your order details, click the Check Out button to complete your purchase with Doordash.
6. Wait for an Email Confirming Your Order
Once you place your order, you'll receive an email from Doordash, including a link to track the delivery status. You can also track the status of your order through the mobile app. Once the store receives your order and the Dasher is ready to deliver it, Doordash will contact you via phone call or text message.
