You can't transfer an Amazon gift card to another account. The only option is to purchase a gift card for another person. You can also use your Amazon gift card to purchase a gift for someone else.

How to Purchase an Amazon Gift Card

You can buy Amazon gift cards in participating retail stores in the United States. The minimum amount is $15, and the maximum gift card amount you can purchase is $100. To purchase a digital gift card for someone or for yourself, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Amazon and type gift cards on the search page. Click Amazon.com egift card.
  2. Choose a gift card design and enter the gift card details. You can select $25, $50, $75 or $100 or enter a specific amount.
  3. Select a Delivery method. You can send the gift card via email or text message.
  4. Enter the email address of the recipient and your name. Type in your message.
  5. Enter the gift card quantity and delivery date. You can send a gift card up to a year from the date of purchase.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions on successfully purchasing the gift card.

You can only use gift cards to purchase items at Amazon.com. Keep in mind that it's not possible to use gift cards for items on Amazon websites in other countries.

Amazon gift cards never expire, and there are also no additional costs when you purchase items using your gift cards. However, you will not be able to refund or return a gift card. You can, however, return an item purchased with your gift card as long as it's in accordance with Amazon's return policy.

Resend a Digital Gift Card

Did you send an Amazon gift card but it didn't arrive? You can always resend the digital gift card by logging in to your Amazon account and going to Your Orders. Simply select Order Details to open the Order Summary page. Hit Resend for the digital card you want to resend. If you don't see the Resend link, the recipient has likely already redeemed the gift card.
