Did you recently cancel your AT&T wireless service? After cancellation, you have 21 days to return any rented equipment to AT&T. If the equipment isn’t returned, you may be charged the following non-return fees: $65 for All-Fi Boosters or Wi-Fi Extenders, $150 for an All-Fi Gateway, and $200 for an All-Fi Hub. Make sure the equipment is in good condition and that all accessories are included to avoid additional charges. Do you need help with the return process? Continue reading this guide for step-by-step instructions on how to return your AT&T equipment.
How do you start the return process? First, contact AT&T to request a return shipping label, which you’ll need to attach to the package.
Simply call the 1-800 number and inform them that you’ve recently canceled your wireless service and are ready to return the equipment.
Before returning your device to AT&T, we recommend backing up your data first. Make sure all your contacts, photos, and videos are securely saved. If you use a cloud service, be sure to sign out. You should also disable any Find My Device features and erase all personal data from the device. If you inserted a SIM card or memory card, remove it before returning the device. Most importantly, reset the device to its factory settings.
You can also start the return process by visiting an AT&T store near you. Simply enter your city or ZIP code and click Search to find nearby locations.
Check the store details or select Schedule a Visit to ensure you can speak with an AT&T representative when you arrive.
Once you have a shipping label, the next step is to drop off the equipment at any UPS or FedEx location.
You can drop off your package at any UPS location. To find a nearby store, simply enter your ZIP code or city and click Search.
If you prefer going to FedEx, just enter your zip code or city in the Search bar and click Search.
Before dropping off your equipment at any UPS or FedEx location, please make sure you have all of the accessories in the box. It's also important that the equipment is still in good condition. Otherwise, AT&T will charge a fee.
For fixed wireless internet, though, note that you don't need to return accessories such as the pole or the mount. No need to return the antenna.
Have you already started your return? To avoid a late fee, return the equipment undamaged within 21 days. If you’re unsure whether a specific accessory should be included, check with AT&T before sending it back. Before dropping off your equipment, confirm that all required items are in the box. Once you hand over the package, UPS will provide a tracking number that you can use to monitor your return. If you haven’t received confirmation from AT&T, use the tracking details to check the status of your shipment. Still have questions about returning wireless equipment?
