I had $[redacted] in Steam gift cards stolen from my account this week, along with another $[redacted] in iTunes cards and an additional $[redacted] in iTunes cards today. The money was sent using card pictures or numbers. I am eager to trace where the cards were picked up, who used them, and when and where. This situation involves someone taking a significant amount of money that I worked hard for. I am seeking legal action to have the thief or thieves held accountable and return my funds, regardless of their location. I am requesting that individuals who accessed the money be permanently blocked from contacting me through email or phone using their SSN or driver's ID.

I purchased GTAV about a week ago and have played for over 20 hours. Lately, the game won't launch and gets stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. Despite reinstalling it and even resetting my PC, the issue persists. I've been in touch with the official developer for three days troubleshooting, but to no avail. As I can't access the game, I've decided to request a refund. Although the game works fine on another Steam account, my refund was denied. I'm hoping to get some assistance on this matter.

I tried to refund the game I bought (F1 [redacted]) because it didn't live up to my expectations. Unfortunately, my refund request was denied since I played for 3 hours instead of the required 2-hour limit. I wanted to thoroughly test the game before deciding to refund it, but technical issues caused it to remain on the "are you sure you want to exit" screen instead of closing to my desktop when I was away. If possible, I'm hoping to receive an exemption from the time limit rule. If the game cost less than $5, I wouldn't mind keeping it, but with a total of $25 spent ($20 for the game and $1.99 for the DLC), I would like to have the option to make a different purchase instead.

I recently used key-drop.com for opening CS:GO cases. To withdraw, they required a $1 deposit. Having concerns about potential scams, I inquired about the site's legitimacy on the winners' profiles. However, my comments got edited, removing references to key-drop.com. Meanwhile, encountering persistent "too many login attempts" issues at my university LAN, I resorted to using a VPN. Following this, I found my account flagged for suspicious activity, triggering a ban. While I appreciate Steam's security measures, I am frustrated by the delay in support responses and their request for card credentials, as I have a new debit card and can't recall previous card details. Locked out of my account as "sarmadchandio" from Pakistan, I hope for prompt assistance and clarification on the ban reasons. I have maintained access to my linked email and phone number. I await resolution for ticket HT-F6RT-K3D8-HGQ2.

Recently, an individual on Steam falsely reported my account for illegal purchasing, resulting in a ban. Subsequently, I was directed to someone named EugeneCactus1, who claimed to assist in lifting the ban. During the interaction, EugeneCactus1 requested codes to "complete the report" and urged me to log out of my account. Sensing something amiss, I sought help from friends. EugeneCactus1 then demanded a $50 payment for a Steam gift card from a dubious website, gaining control of my account. Disturbingly, the hacker/scammer used my account to target others by manipulating IP addresses to evade detection. Furthermore, crucial login information was altered. My account username is AlexHero82.

Hello, I am reaching out because I recently discovered that my 15-year-old son, who is autistic, has spent approximately £[redacted] on Steam since June 13, [redacted]. Due to my recent illness, I had not been able to monitor his account as closely as usual. I am seeking advice on how we can request a refund for these purchases. While I understand that the purchases were made, had I been aware, I would not have permitted them. I am disappointed that his bank did not flag these unusual transactions. Given that he is a minor and autistic, and this is the first instance of us requesting a refund, I kindly request some leniency regarding the 14-day refund policy. Thank you for your understanding. I am currently dealing with the unfortunate passing of my father a couple of months ago. I am facing difficulties changing his email address to one of mine, as his ISP email account has been deactivated, signed out from all devices, and ultimately closed. Each time I attempt to submit the request, I encounter a captcha verification error. I have tried sending the request from his account within the Steam app, where there was no captcha, and also from the website where the captcha was present. I have verified my emails multiple times in this manner and now I am being asked to wait several hours due to too many failed attempts. Should I wait and try again later, or is there a different issue at play here? It seems that all avenues for assistance require signing into the account, which I am unable to do since I no longer have access to his emails. My only method of accessing his account is through the app, as it was used before losing access to his emails. Unfortunately, the captcha does not display there, causing recognition issues. Sincerely, [Initials]

I have an issue with Steam regarding a purchase I made for the game "Dead by Daylight" on Aug. 1st. Everything was fine until today, Aug. 4th, when I tried to launch the game and was redirected to the store page. In my library, where the game should have had a "play" option, it now shows "purchase." I verified my account and past purchases and found no payment issues. Despite numerous attempts, I keep getting sent to the store page instead of being able to play the game. This problem only started after the recent scheduled Steam Downtime on Aug. 4th. I had initially bought the game, then refunded it, and repurchased it before encountering this issue.

I'm having trouble with your system and need some help. I've been working in IT since [redacted], but this is one of the most frustrating systems I've dealt with. It took me over 40 minutes just to locate customer support on the Mac app and the website, which I found to be very difficult. I even tried calling during business hours, but was directed to the website by a robot and eventually got disconnected or asked to leave a message. The current issue I'm facing is trying to buy a game for my child with account GH1707 while in the Czech Republic with a USA credit card. The system recognizes me as being in the Czech Republic and prompts me to change it, but the link provided doesn't allow me to make the change and only leads to a blank page, instructing me to contact customer support. This has been a frustrating experience, as all other attempts to change my country setting lead to the same dead end. I have screenshots available if needed. I look forward to hearing back from you so I can keep my promise to my child. - G. Howell

Hello Support, Approximately 2-3 years ago, I was banned from playing "Warframe" and subsequently ceased using Steam. Recently, I have encountered issues trying to log in as my email address seems to have been changed without my knowledge. I previously created a second Steam account during the same period, unaware that usernames could be altered. Unfortunately, I am unable to submit a support ticket for my second account due to the balance not meeting the required $5. Additionally, when seeking assistance with a stolen account, the resources only address my current account, leaving no option to address the main (stolen) account. I am prepared to offer substantial proof of ownership over the account in question, including identifying the current user. Please reach out to me via the provided email for further communication.

Hello, my account was compromised by someone in Vietnam. I received warning emails from you, but I mistook them for common scams and did not take action. The perpetrator changed both the password and associated emails, leaving me unable to recover access. My email is [redacted], and my username is ROBOCOP22363. To validate ownership, my last payment via Paypal was Transaction code: 94S915972B[redacted] sent to [redacted] You emailed me in Italian, informing me of the changes made to my Steam account for privacy and security reasons. I received a message stating that my account was mistakenly reported and banned for illegal activities. An individual claiming to be a "Steam associate" offered to assist. Initially, I requested proof of my account's status, and they later asked for gift card purchases. Despite complying with a $[redacted].00 payment, they requested an additional $[redacted], causing suspicion. I refused and asked them to ban my account. Despite this, the person persisted and provided a certificate claiming affiliation with Steam. Refusing further purchases, the individual accessed my account and changed the password. As my Steam account is crucial for various services, I am unable to report or recover it due to the hacker gaining access to the linked email. Furthermore, the hacker attempted to target my friends, including my brother, in a similar manner during our exchange.

I am seeking a refund for my purchase of Borderlands 3 on Steam for PC. Despite multiple attempts to launch the game, it freezes after the opening logos and does not progress to the main menu as a result of a known issue with Borderlands 3. I have contacted 2K support, completed system checks, provided crash notifications, uninstalled and reinstalled the game per their instructions, and even reset Windows, but the issue persists. Despite not being able to play the game due to constant troubleshooting, Steam has denied my refund request twice citing more than two hours of gameplay, which has only been spent on attempting to make the game work. As a full-time worker limited on free time, I have not been able to actually play the game. I have documentation of my interactions with 2K support to support my claim. I request a refund through Paypal. Thank you.

The game has been running poorly with a low frame rate. I believe I am eligible for a refund from Steam for two main reasons: I've had the game for just two days as of now, well within the two-week refund policy, having downloaded it on August 11, [redacted]. Despite exceeding the two-hour playtime limit, the poor performance and lags have led to constant freezes and delays, tripling the usual time for loading. This caused my playtime to reach 7 hours instead of a shorter duration. I request a refund for Star Wars Battlefront 2, and if granted, I plan to use the refunded amount to purchase either Batman Arkham City or Batman Arkham Knight, or maybe even both. This is my second request for a refund for Battlefront 2. I assure Steam that I will use the refunded money to purchase another game, ensuring a win-win situation. I hope to hear back via email regarding my refund request. Thank you. I want to share that I've shared the above details from my refund request on Steam. Hearing that refunds are often auto-denied if they exceed the 2-hour limit, I've turned to GetHuman for assistance, hoping a human can review my situation and grant the refund as I believe my case is valid. Thank you to GetHuman for your help.

To whom it may concern, I recently dealt with a third-party retailer/reseller and purchased a CD Key for Tekken 7 Ultimate Edition. Upon attempting to use the key, I received an error message indicating it was already in use. Although I understand that Steam is not responsible for such matters, the retailer has asked me to contact Steam Support to verify when the key was first activated. I believe this is to show that I did not use the key, which I have already proven with screenshots. The CD Key in question is: XX8JW-6CT27-PLFEQ. Any assistance with resolving this issue and providing information on the key's activation date would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your cooperation. Frank

Hello, I am netherboy2003. Recently, I was a victim of a scam by an individual claiming to be an official admin on Steam named Mr. Daniel. After a report from my friend Neoceap Foxy, I engaged in a conversation with Mr. Daniel who convinced me of illegal purchases on my account. Following his instructions, I made purchases on a website called eneba.com to rectify what he called a 'glitch'. Unfortunately, this led to unauthorized access to my Steam account, resulting in changes to both the email address and password, rendering me unable to log in. I have taken steps to secure my email account but seek assistance in recovering my Steam account and the funds lost in this incident. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello, my account was hacked by scammers posing as real Steam support. They changed my password and email associated with the account, so now I'm unable to access it. Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary information to verify my identity with Steam support. All I can provide is my account name, wojtekgio48. I had numerous games on the account that I'm hoping to retrieve. The way I got duped into this was through a hacker who had control of a friend's Steam account and messaged me pretending to be my friend, asking me to contact Steam support due to a fake report. I added the fake "steam support" account, followed their instructions, and now I find myself locked out of my own account. I really need assistance with this situation. I appreciate any help you can offer, and I apologize for any language mistakes.

My son has been using your community and games. Recently, he was contacted by someone pretending to be an administrator for your company, threatening to ban his account unless he shared personal and credit card information. This person coerced him into making a $50 purchase with the promise of a refund. When my son mentioned it was my card and he needed permission, the individual persisted, claiming he didn't require consent. As his mother, I confronted the imposter, highlighting the illegality of his actions and his inappropriate behavior towards a minor. Following this encounter, my son's account was inaccessible, with the password changed to an email address belonging to the fraudulent individual. Despite the lack of phone or live chat support, I hope to resolve this issue promptly to regain access to my son's account and safeguard his personal information from further misuse. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Helaine.

I need help with my Steam account. My account, ToodleMCBurger, has been hacked by someone named Taylor Sherman. They claimed to be a Valve Employee and requested my items through a bot, then changed my account details. Despite not sharing my password, email, or phone number, they manipulated me into a voice chat and took control of my account while harassing me. I possess all the necessary details about my account and seek assistance in recovering my items and account.
