Today, my son's account was hacked. The hacker managed to access my son's email account as well, but I have successfully changed that password. Subsequently, they altered the password and email linked to my son's account, along with the payment information. These changes have impeded our ability to use the self-help account recovery options. Regrettably, Steam does not provide direct contact methods such as phone numbers, emails, or customer support chats. Although there is a ticket system in place, accessing it requires logging in, which my son is unable to do. Strangely, I can't even submit a ticket on his behalf due to my ability to log in. Considering the significant investment we have made in Steam games over the years, it is disheartening to encounter this lack of support. As longstanding users, we feel abandoned and frustrated by the company's inability to address these issues and assist customers in need.

I need assistance with recovering my account that was locked due to fraudulent activity. I was unaware that a transaction made on May 29th was fraudulent, as I believed the seller would use my account details for a legitimate purpose. However, upon receiving a warning alert, I realized that the purchase was made using a stolen card. I trusted the seller based on their high ratings and positive reviews from other buyers. I did not anticipate being scammed in this manner. I am contacting you to request the unlocking of my account, as I consider myself a victim of fraud in this situation.

Recently, I was randomly added by a user on Steam who led me to a fraudulent website, sakuramao.cn, and scammed me. I received an email accusing me of violating rules due to this. The scammer changed the name and avatar of my Steam profile and tricked me into sending my items by pretending to be a friend. They managed to transfer my items worth around [redacted]$ CAD to another account. I am concerned about the security of my account and how a third-party site gained access without requiring my mobile verification code. I am disappointed that valuable items were taken by this scammer.

I have an old account that I haven't accessed for years, and I would like to regain access. I don't remember the account details, but recently I got an email from Steam at "[redacted]" I tried using this email for account recovery, but it didn't work, same with my phone number. The email referred to me as "840DOUBLEBLAZEXX." Please advise on the steps I can take to recover my account or reach out to me for any clarifications. Thank you.

I purchased Spore through Steam, but I have been unable to connect to the game servers. After verifying that the servers are available, I contacted EA for support. They directed me back to Steam. Despite my efforts to troubleshoot following various online recommendations, I hit a dead end. Steam's lack of phone support left me feeling stranded. While others are connecting without issues, I find myself unable to do so. I am frustrated and in need of assistance. I just want someone to guide me through the problem or acknowledge that the issue may not be resolved.

I am unable to access Steam by searching on Google. I have verified that my Wi-Fi connection is stable and followed Google's troubleshooting steps without success. My PC is running on Windows 10. I have used Steam for a year but uninstalled it once due to display issues on the homepage. Reinstalling it seems to have caused this access problem. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

On June 24th, I purchased the game "Senran Kagura ESTIVAL VERSUS" to enjoy its multiplayer mode with my friend. He shared it with me through Steam's Family Sharing, allowing me to try it. However, I want to play with him simultaneously, which isn't possible with a shared game. I've now bought it but couldn't refund it, despite minimal playtime. Steam Support's responses lack detail, leaving me frustrated. While shared, I spent 3 hours playing, then after buying it, only a few minutes due to the denied refund. The current exceeding playtime policy hinders this, given the shared gaming situation. I hope for more clarity and a refund explanation from Steam Support.

I purchased Need For Speed: Heat and unfortunately, I've been experiencing continuous crashing and freezing issues while playing. Whenever the game freezes, it also freezes my entire computer, leaving me with no choice but to wait it out. This has amounted to approximately 3 hours of combined waiting time, far exceeding my actual gameplay time of only 1 hour. Although my Steam account shows 4.8 hours on record, they have denied my refund request citing their "2-hour limit" policy. I bought the game on 23/06/20, and I feel it is unfair to be denied a refund due to the game's technical problems. Despite trying various troubleshooting methods, the persistent issues have left me frustrated. Every time I request a refund, it is rejected. I believe the Steam customer service representatives overlook the detailed explanations I provide and simply focus on the playtime duration when making their decision. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find an email contact or live chat support on Steam for a more thorough discussion of my issue. I appreciate any assistance you may offer, as my problem remains unresolved.

One of my friends fell for an impersonation scam and ended up with fake cards. They directed me to contact a person on Steam named (SteamNick) to resolve the issue. This individual claimed there was a report on my account for trading fake cards and asked me to log out before requesting an access code. Next, I was instructed to show my trading history, which revealed no suspicious activity beyond game purchases. Suddenly, I was informed that my account was suspended and to appeal, I needed to purchase a $[redacted] gift card. This demand seemed suspicious, especially since my account was already suspended. When I questioned this, the person insisted the gift card was necessary to avoid account deletion and promised a refund. Feeling uneasy, I refused and mentioned reaching out to real support. However, the individual claimed their supervisor was too busy to assist any Steam users. Finally, they offered to resolve the issue without a gift card but asked for a four-day wait period. It's frustrating that this alternative was not initially presented, raising further doubts about their legitimacy.

Hello Steam Support Team, I encountered an issue while trying to gift a copy of Firewatch to my friend. The gifting service kept giving me an error (as shown in the attached file) preventing me from completing the purchase. Thankfully, my Steam wallet was not charged yet. I have attempted to make the purchase multiple times without success. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Please review the support ticket on Steam for the attached file detailing the error message for more information. Thank you for looking into this issue. Steam Support Ticket #HT-76TG-W476-NWH5

I bought a new game but it's not working. I've tried all the solutions from Steam and Paradox, but nothing helped. I asked for a refund, but it was denied due to the playtime exceeding 2 hours. I never actually played, just tried to fix it. I want a refund. Customer service has been unresponsive. Disappointing experience, not recommended.

Name: David Steam Name: davidachristmas Steam ID: [redacted] Email: [redacted] Support Ticket: HT-GY96-QYHB-R343 A few days ago, I submitted a support request to change my password. However, I did not receive the code via email to proceed. I reached out for help to recover my account, but after initially receiving a response within 30 minutes, further communication has been lacking. Despite seeking clarification on proof of ID requirements, I have not received any responses for over two days now. After realizing what was needed for ID verification, I attempted to close the original ticket (HT-GY96-QYHB-R343) to open a new one but was unable to due to an existing open ticket linked to my account. Despite trying multiple avenues to resolve this issue, including contacting various support staff, there has been no progress or assistance provided. I am currently stuck in limbo without access to my account and seek assistance to cancel the current ticket so I can start a new one promptly. If further information is required, please reach out to me at [redacted] or direct this matter to the appropriate personnel. Thank you for your attention. Regards, David

Hello, let me provide some context. My account was hacked - the account name is - andydurko123. Two days ago, I contacted your support team via email. I was informed that within 48 hours, I would receive a URL link to change my Steam details, and my in-game items would be untradeable until the issue was resolved. I took steps to lock my account and shared the account unlock code, LRNQDVF, with you. Today, on July 1, [redacted], upon waking up, I discovered that my account had been unlocked. I am currently still logged in on my phone, which confirmed the account status change. The account name had been altered, and valuable items from Dota 2 had been traded. I urgently require your assistance in recovering both my account and items. Despite the assurance of receiving the URL link within 48 hours, my account was mysteriously unlocked, and items were traded even though the email stated they would remain untradeable until the matter was resolved. I implore Steam to assist me promptly. I am willing to provide any necessary evidence to aid in resolving this issue. Thank you for your support.

I am facing issues downloading Microsoft Flight Simulator X as my number seems to be linked to an old account I can't remember. My new account is under the name "barrymalayantiger" on Steam. I'm reachable at [redacted] The product is Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. I recently purchased "Borderlands 3" and played it solo to familiarize myself with the game before playing with a friend. Unfortunately, when we tried to play together, we encountered multiplayer issues that rendered the game unplayable for non-host players. I attempted to get a refund within the 14-day window, but my request was denied due to having played around 5 hours. My friend, who played for only about 2 hours, was able to get a refund. Seeing that he has stopped playing the game after the refund, I see even less reason to continue. My account is under the name Leoxblader, and I would appreciate if the refund could be credited to my Steam wallet so that I can use it to purchase a game with a working multiplayer feature.

I bought two $50 Steam cards at a CVS in Honesdale, PA. Unfortunately, the first card purchased on June 13 had unreadable numbers after scratching the code. The second card bought on July 11 had clear numbers (53XKM3-6XBJI-IMW36) but was deemed invalid when I tried to use it. I do not have a Steam account and will not create one. I request a full refund; if not, I'll report this to the BBB. Please provide the corporate address. Alternatively, I'd accept a $[redacted] card sent to Lorie-Ann McKean at [redacted] Church Street, Apt 1R, Honesdale, PA. [redacted]. As a responsible business, customer satisfaction is crucial. Hello, Good afternoon, On June 18, [redacted], I purchased a $50 Steam gift card at a Petro-Canada station. However, the issue is that the card I received only has 13 characters instead of the usual 16. I am reaching out now after discovering that I need a Steam account to file a complaint. Since I bought the card for a gamer and I am not familiar with the process, I am unsure of how to contact customer support. I have the physical card and the receipt as evidence if needed. Thank you in advance for your anticipated response.

My child received a message claiming fraudulent activity on their Steam account. The person posing as a Steam moderator asked for credit card details. I intervened when my child was asked for payment info and got suspicious. The individual identified as Mr. Jed Alex and requested a $50 USD Steam card code. We have saved the conversation. The account's email and password were changed, with $[redacted] USD worth of games lost. Seeking assistance to regain access to the account and content. Thank you.
