I was unable to take my flight due to COVID restrictions at the layover airport. Consequently, I had to book another flight with a different airline. When I contacted Cheapoair, they directed me to Tripmate for a refund claim. I bought a flight through CheapOAir in June [redacted] to Dubai, using Affirm for payment. The flight was for December 27, [redacted], operated by Air Canada. Due to delays and staff shortages, I missed my connecting flight. Air Canada issued a refund on February 21, [redacted], which I had to pursue through Affirm. Affirm claims they haven't received the refund and advised me to contact CheapOAir. Despite reaching out to CheapOAir multiple times, they insist I must speak to Affirm. Further communication with Affirm reveals CheapOAir is in possession of the money, holding it as a credit for future use per my canceled booking displayed in my account. Despite CheapOAir representatives assuring me of a refund, it seems they are preserving the funds for a future credit, while the airline's refund was issued. I require CheapOAir to transfer the money back to Affirm for my refund.

The airline changed my flight schedule without giving me the chance to discuss it first. After receiving the email notification, I tried to reach out to CheapOair through their chat feature, but I couldn't find my reservation until I accepted the change on July 22nd. Even though I confirmed it, the customer service representative informed me that it was a one-time change, even though it wasn't my choice. When I called, I was passed around different departments for hours until I was disconnected while being placed on hold for an additional hour. I'm frustrated with this poor customer service. I'm hoping to find a solution to shorten the layover on my return flight without incurring any extra fees due to the schedule change that wasn't my fault. It's disappointing that I was pressured into accepting the change without being fully informed about the consequences.
