You can also stop a transfer used to pay your Bank of America credit card balance. The process for any of them is both fast and simple.

What You'll Need

You cannot stop payment on a check that has already been presented.One-time payments made with a credit or debit card cannot be canceled once you have submitted them. You can only cancel scheduled, recurring payments.When you stop payment on a check, you will need to have the check number, the date on the check, the exact amount the check was written for, and the name of the person or business the check was made out to.If you cannot provide the exact amount the check you want to stop was written for, you may not be able to stop payment on the check.If you pay your credit card balance by regularly scheduling a transfer from a different Bank of America account, such as your Savings account, you can cancel the transfer if you need to at any point before the scheduled transfer time.

Enter your user ID and password in the log in widget on the left side of the page to log in to your Bank of America account.

Click on "Bill Pay."

To stop payment on a check, skip to step 7.
To cancel a scheduled transfer, skip to step 11.

Locate the eBill that you want to cancel in the list of your current eBills.

Click on the "Edit eBill options" link beside the biller's name.

Click on "Cancel eBill."

Do not proceed with additional steps.

Go to the Services page.

Select the Bank of America account the check you want to stop was drawn from.

Click on the "Stop payment on a check" option.

Follow the prompts and provide the requested information to finish stopping payment on the check.

Do not proceed with any further steps.

Click on "Transfers."

Select "Transfer Activity."

Find the transfer that you wish to cancel in the list of your regularly scheduled Bank of America transfers.

Click on "Delete."

You can also choose to edit the transfer so that it takes place at a different time.
