Calling this Google Nest Customer Number

I'm having an issue with my Nest thermostat syncing correctly across my devices and with the app. Having tried to restart it and disconnect my app then reconnect it, I haven't had any luck — so I went online to find a live agent to talk to. From what I can tell by searching forums, it's a lot easier to talk to someone who can walk you through troubleshooting an issue, so that's what I wanted to do. I imagine other people have similar issues and need to talk to Google Nest.

Other common problems might include anything from installation to subscription or billing questions. It seems Google Nest should have a support arm that makes it easy to get help as needed, and they do, but not in the way that I'd like. I found 855-469-6378 was the number to call Google Nest support, but unfortunately, it doesn't appear to work. I called the number three times and it said thank you for calling Google Nest support, but there is no longer live support from this line. Instead, it told me to go online to support.google.com/googlenest for help.

While I may be somewhat tech-savvy, I wanted to talk to someone in person. Plus, I didn't choose to install this Google Nest, it was already installed in the home I bought. Therefore, the support process is virtually unknown to me. I just wanted to talk to someone who might be able to help. Given how much influence Google has in the world it seems like you should be able to at least Google a support number for Nest but that didn't really seem to work out for me.

I found two other options but one line didn't work at all, and the other number thanked me for calling but never identified who I had called. The hold music continued to play and the recorded message thanked me for calling and asked me to hold for the next available line, but after 15 minutes I hung up. I didn't want to waste my time on hold if it turned out that I wasn't even talking to Google Nest. It was very odd that there was no identifier.

With no other options, I went online to Google support and found an option to have the company call me or talk to a live agent on chat. I chose to have them call me, and they called within a minute. While it isn't the approach I intended to take, I have to admit that it was fast and I got the answers I needed from a helpful agent.
