It's always a good idea to closely check the charges placed on your credit card when you receive a statement. If you feel that the charges on your credit card don't match up with your stay at a Westin Hotel, you can dispute them. Send your receipts and other relevant documents when you make a claim. Here are steps to dispute a charge with Westin Hotels.

1. Go to Your Online Account

You will need to log in to your account. Click Get Started on Westin's website and enter your email address and password. Once you log in, click My reservation. This will take you to a list of all active reservations associated with your account. If there are multiple reservations, select the reservation you want to dispute.

2. Click Reserve Link

Scroll down and click Reserve Link at the top of the page. It will take you to the dispute page where you can fill out your information and submit your dispute. Be sure to include all relevant details.

3. Select Dispute a Charge

Choosing a dispute a charge box will take you to a new page with more options. A page will expand with a drop-down box for the Reason for the dispute. You need to provide more details in the Additional Comment box. Select Dispute A Charge and enter I Don't Recognize This Charge or I Didn't Authorize This Charge.

If you choose the latter, enter your name, email address and any additional comments about why you believe it was unauthorized.

4. Choose Charge Reversed

Select Charge Reversed from the menu, then fill out all relevant information about your dispute in the space provided. It will take you to a page where you can provide more details about the charge. In this section, explain what happened and what you want Westin to do about it. You can also attach photos or other documents that support your case. Once you submit these details, Westin Hotels will review them and email you a confirmation message that it received your message. It will explain its review process and when you can expect a reply.
