Wells Fargo Online Banking lets you check account balances, transfer funds between accounts and access other banking tools. You can schedule recurring transfers by setting them up once or scheduling them to continue indefinitely.

Here are the steps to set up a recurring transfer in your Wells Fargo account.

1. Log In to Your Wells Fargo Account

To set up or modify a recurring transfer from your Wells Fargo account, log in to your online banking portal and navigate to the Transfers tab.

Navigate to the menu, and select Transfers. This will take you to a list of recurring transfers you've set up.

2. Click the Schedule a Transfer Button

Log in to your Wells Fargo account and navigate to the Transfer Money section of My Accounts. Tap Schedule a Transfer.

3. Select the Recurring Transfer Option

In the Recurring Transfer Details box that appears, enter your transfer amount. Select the account from which you want to send money and click OK.

The option that you choose depends on your preferences. The most common options are weekly, monthly and biweekly.

You can also specify exactly your transaction details. To do so, click the Set Up This Recurring Transfer on a Specific Date option.

Click the calendar icon next to the Date field and choose a date from the drop-down menu that appears.

4. Schedule Transfer Button

Once you fill in the form, click View and Edit Recipient Info to go through a verification process that establishes the recipient's identity and ensures accessibility to the new account.

If you're satisfied with what you've set up, click Schedule Transfer and confirm a few more things — how often do you want this transfer to occur?

What day of the month? And how much money do you want to transfer? Hit save.

5. Confirm Your Recurring Transfer

Wells Fargo will confirm that it has successfully scheduled the transfer. You will receive an email confirmation of this message.

It will also appear in the Transfers section of your account under Messages. It includes the details (as well as some additional information) that you used to schedule the transfer.
