If you bank online with your US Bank account, you may have set up a list of bill payees that you choose to pay online. Paying your payees is easy with a couple of clicks. However, you may want to delete a payee from this list if you no longer transact business with them or pay for their services. You can use the following information to delete an existing payee from your US Bank bill payee list.

How to Delete an Existing Payee From Your US Bank Bill Pay List

When banking with your desktop computer, you can remove a bill payee from your US Bank bill pay list with the following steps:

1. Log in to your US Bank account. 

2. Click on Bill Payments, located near the top of the page when you log in. 

3. Locate the bill payee that you want to delete. 

4. Next to the bill payee's name, click on the pencil icon.

5. Choose the option Delete This Bill located near the page bottom.

You'll be able to confirm that the bill payee has been deleted from your list successfully when you check your email. You will receive an email from US Bank confirming the bill payee's deletion. If you do not receive this email or have trouble making the deletion, you can contact US Bank for support. 

Using Your US Bank App 

If you use the US Bank app to bank using your mobile device, you will find that the steps to delete a payee from your bill payee list are similar, but there are a couple of differences. Follow these steps when banking with the app:

1. Open the app and log in.

2. Select Pay Bills & Transfer.

3. Click on Pay a Bill.

4. Find the bill payee you want to delete and select the pencil icon. 

5. Select the Delete This Bill option, located at the bottom of the page.

When you bank with US Bank online or using the mobile app, you can also easily add new bill payees or edit payee information. Keep in mind that you cannot delete a payment that is a same-day payment or is listed as in process. If you experience any difficulties, contact the bank for support.
