Introduction

If you have canceled your T-Mobile service and were using an Internet Gateway and/or Coverage device from the company, then you need to learn how to return that device, or T-Mobile will charge you for it. You have a couple of different options for your return.

What You'll Need

You have 30 days after you cancel your T-Mobile service to return your equipment, or you will have to pay an equipment replacement fee of up to $370.After receiving your returned equipment, T-Mobile will inspect it for damage. If it finds the equipment has been damaged then you will have to pay the damaged equipment fee, which could also be up to $370.If you do not return some of the cords or other accessories your device came with, you will be charged a fee to replace them that is equal to the cost of replacing those particular accessories.Once you begin the process of returning your T-Mobile Coverage device by mail, you cannot change your mind and return it to a store instead. However, you can always bring your T-Mobile Internet Gateway device to a store, even after beginning the return by mail process.Although you can return your Internet Gateway device to a store, T-Mobile does prefer that you use the mail option instead.

Call a T-Mobile customer service representative and tell them that you need a return label so you can ship your devices back to the company.
