I recently purchased two dresses online. They arrived on time, but unfortunately, they were not to my liking. When I tried to return them for a refund, I was only offered a partial refund. I find it unacceptable to receive £3 back on a £7 purchase and £3 back on a £12 purchase. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the sellers, but they suggested I keep the dresses or gift them to a friend. I prefer a full refund and am considering donating the dresses to a charity shop. The order numbers are [redacted]59 and [redacted]88, and the sellers are HYSZMORE1 and BROWNHAPPY2018. I have reached out through email as I couldn't find another way to address this issue. Thank you for your attention. Patricia H., Cornwall, UK.

Hello everyone, I need assistance with an online purchase issue. I bought a Winter Coat from ansam3608 on eBay (Item no [redacted]57) on June 4, [redacted]. After receiving a purchase confirmation with an estimated delivery date of July 7, [redacted] and a tracking number MA[redacted]AR, I eagerly awaited my package. Unfortunately, the item did not arrive, despite multiple unreturned emails to the seller. Following eBay's advice, I contacted Royal Mail Service regarding the missing package, only to discover that the tracking number provided was deemed invalid by them. Royal Mail requested an International Shipping reference number, leading me to reach out to the seller again, but to no avail. I am puzzled as to whether the seller sent the item at all, and am left questioning their legitimacy and lack of responsiveness. I am eager for a solution to this matter.

I made a purchase on eBay for some burettes on 6/21. The third-party seller claimed that UPS delivered the items, but they did not arrive. After more than 4 days passed, I contacted eBay to report that I had not received the package. eBay then informed me that the postal service did not recognize the address. This is an office building. eBay assured me that the seller would resend the burettes, but I have yet to receive anything. I am frustrated with the lack of assistance from both eBay and the seller. I rely on the integrity and trustworthiness of eBay for transactions using my credit card. I am disappointed by the unprofessional handling of this situation. At this point, I simply want a refund and to close this matter.

I made a purchase for a car part on eBay 3 months ago with item number [redacted]57. Regrettably, I have yet to receive the item, and I am unable to open a dispute on eBay due to the expired timeframe. Despite reaching out to the seller, ath_kg, multiple times, I have not made any progress as they keep requesting more time. Upon suggesting they contact the shipping company DHL, I was informed that only the seller can initiate an investigation due to their contract with the courier. Despite relaying this to the seller, I am uncertain if they have taken any action. Additionally, I never received any notifications regarding the approaching dispute deadline. As there was no specified delivery date for my item, I could not adhere to the 30-day post-estimated delivery timeline. At this point, I am unable to contact the seller or eBay for a resolution. Your assistance in resolving this matter and facilitating a refund would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, F.

I purchased an item from an eBay merchant, BNR Parts, with a 1-year warranty, but they have not responded to my inquiries about a failed alternator after 5 months. I tried messaging them on eBay and calling, but received no response. BNR has multiple negative reviews online, accusing them of falsely advertising warranties and underperforming products. It seems they are not honoring their promises. It's concerning that despite complaints, eBay has not taken action against this seller or addressed the issue of false advertising. The fact that BNR still has a "Top Rated Plus" status on eBay is misleading and disappointing. eBay needs to hold sellers accountable for their advertised warranties and product quality. This situation reflects poorly on both the seller and eBay for allowing such practices to continue unchecked.

Dear eBay Support, I recently received an email from eBay regarding a $1.04 transaction for an item I did not intend to purchase. The email prompted me to change my password, which seemed odd as I usually shop as a guest and did not recognize the login name provided (DRH_11). This raised suspicions about the authenticity of the website, leading me to cancel the transaction to ensure my security. Despite not having an eBay account or password, I encountered difficulties trying to resolve this issue online. Any action I attempted required signing in, a step I found unusual as a guest shopper. I kindly request the cancellation of the pending transaction mentioned in the eBay email and would appreciate your assistance in this matter. Thank you for your attention to this basic security concern over a minor purchase. Best regards, David Hill (DRH) Email: [redacted]

I did not proceed with an eBay transaction for a $1.04 item. I encountered issues trying to reset my password, as I didn't recall having an account. The provided login name (DRH_11) wasn't familiar, which made me concerned about a potential fake site. Hence, I decided to cancel the transaction before payment. Dealing with this online has been challenging as I usually shop as a guest and didn't expect to log in. I attempted to sign in without success, and hesitated to create a new password for a suspicious account. This security concern is disproportionate to the small item cost. eBay should cancel the pending transaction as I have made other arrangements. I normally shop as a guest and was not given that option this time. I bought a timing belt and pulleys from Hi-Utopia to install on my brother's car while visiting him. The package was supposed to arrive by June 21, [redacted]. I left on June 24, but the delivery was delayed until June 27, after I had already departed. My brother declined the package, and tracking indicates he accepted it on July 1. I've contacted the seller twice without any response or refund offered. Since I had already left, my brother refused the delivery.

The item is fully functional and comes in its original packaging. An invoice was sent as it is a second-hand item, but it was only used briefly. While I cannot provide a warranty due to being a private seller, the official warranty invoice was included, and the item is still covered. The first buyer reported an issue with the original charger, so I provided a €12 refund to help with purchasing a new one. Now, the buyer claims the phone is not charging. It is unclear if the correct charger was obtained, potentially leading to the charging problem. Also, the buyer mentioned the smartphone lacks fingerprint unlock, which is untrue. Despite the buyer's dissatisfaction, I do not typically accept returns or offer refunds for fully functioning items. I strive to maintain a good seller reputation, but dealing with such buyers poses challenges. Any advice would be appreciated. Jorge

I purchased a PS4 controller from a seller on eBay, gulakumaa. However, shortly after making the payment, my order was cancelled without any explanation. When I inquired about the cancellation, the seller responded rudely, stating they didn't need to explain and suggested buying elsewhere. Subsequently, I found feedback indicating that this seller may be selling fake items. Their unprofessional attitude is unacceptable. They have only sold 8 items, all PS4 controllers, since setting up their account this year. This situation seems suspicious, and I am concerned about not receiving a refund. I would appreciate it if someone could investigate this matter further. Thank you.

Yesterday, my account got suspended while I was sending out items. I shipped around 7 items that I already paid for shipping. Today, there was a credit card decline for a buyer's refund on an item that is already on its way to them. If refunds are being processed for all my buyers, I need my items returned as I don't intend to give items to buyers for free. Also, since my account is suspended, any attempt to withdraw money from my debit card is unauthorized. The company suspended my account, so they shouldn't be able to deduct funds from my personal account. If these issues are not resolved, I will take legal action. If there is a need for payment for the items I shipped yesterday, I request to have them returned to me.

My wife experienced a burning sensation on her face after using the Olay Regenerist cream she purchased locally. We conducted a "blind test" to compare it with a jar bought from eBay. After marking one jar with an "x" and leaving the other unmarked, she could tell immediately that the eBay jar was the one causing the burn. We repeated the test with both jars labeled as eBay, and she still felt the burning sensation on both sides. I reached out to the seller via email a couple of weeks ago to share our experience but received no response. Interestingly, the complaint category was changed to "not received" during this time.

I currently reside in Thailand and purchased speakers from a seller in the UK. The speakers were shipped from the UK to Thailand, and unfortunately, I have encountered issues with them. I am communicating with the seller to explore the option of returning the speakers to the UK. Since this would be my first time initiating a return, I would appreciate clarification on the refund process. There are three separate payments involved: 1. The original payment made to the seller for the speakers and shipping costs. 2. The import tax paid to Thai customs upon the arrival of the speakers in Thailand. 3. The upcoming shipping cost from Thailand back to the UK to return the speakers to the seller. I am seeking guidance on which of these payments the seller would be responsible for refunding to me. I am eager to receive your response promptly.

As a first-time seller, I encountered a disappointing situation with a buyer who damaged the item they purchased and then requested to return it within 30 days. Despite their initial excitement upon receiving the shoes, the condition they returned them in was far from brand new, raising concerns about their intentions. I am no longer selling items due to challenges with attracting buyers and understanding the associated fees. It is important to me to maintain integrity in my transactions and I assure that I would never knowingly sell counterfeit items. The images provided clearly show the discrepancy between the item's original state and its return condition. This experience has led me to question the buyer's credibility and their pattern of potentially using items before returning them. I hope this matter can be addressed appropriately, as I believe this buyer's behavior is concerning and warrants further attention from the platform. Thank you for your assistance with this issue.

I received a book I ordered quite late and initiated a return due to damage. Upon inspection, the book was damaged, and I modified the return accordingly. After sending the damaged book back and getting a refund from the seller, I was surprised to receive a notification from PayPal about a $16.21 charge from eBay for the return. I was under the impression that eBay does not charge for returns of damaged items. During my call today at 3 pm central time, the customer service representative informed me the case was closed with no further action. Despite my request to speak to a supervisor, I was repeatedly told none were available. After being placed on hold multiple times, and a total of 24 minutes into the call, I was unexpectedly disconnected. As a long-time eBay customer, I am perplexed by the treatment I received during this interaction.

I paid $[redacted] for a 'buy it now' medical equipment item on eBay that was listed as 'free shipping.' I messaged the seller requesting careful packaging and insurance, but he then asked for an extra $23 for padding and insurance. Despite the disagreement, the seller relisted the item for $[redacted]. I believe he realized he underpriced it. Can eBay enforce the original terms of sale? How does eBay penalize sellers for breaching terms? My eBay Account is: recess_time.

I returned a Puffer Jacket (item number [redacted]14) to Panlee on June 17, [redacted], due to sizing issues. I sent it back to Address Gong Yu, Room [redacted] Building Hongyuan No11, No.39, Nana 1 Road, Guicheng Town, Nanhai District, Foshan, Guangdong, [redacted], CHINA. I am requesting a refund for the return postage cost of $20.80 and have included the receipt in the parcel. Despite multiple attempts over the past month to track the parcel, delivery has not been successful. Aust.Post is investigating the issue, but Gong Yu mentioned that my phone number was not on the package, causing delivery complications due to language barriers. EBAY's intervention may be necessary at this point to help resolve this ongoing matter. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. - Bev

On May 12, [redacted], I placed an order for two items on eBay. However, after receiving order confirmations for the products, my credit card was charged for three PayPal charges (Paypal *Kerkce, Paypal *Pitneybowes, and Paypal *Sahewitt2) on the same day. I have not yet received the products from the vendors. Prior to July 2, I tried contacting both sellers to cancel the orders. First item #[redacted]89 was an Apple Silicone Case for iPhone from Seller stelvio_giulia ([redacted]) for $19.19, but after cancelling, the vendor claimed to have no order or payment information. Second item #[redacted]86 was Cecile Jeanne Earrings "[redacted] nights" from Seller sahewitt35 ([redacted]) for $57.92, and after requesting cancellation, I received no response from this seller. I have now sent follow-up emails through eBay to request refunds for both unfulfilled orders. I have offered to provide order confirmations and redacted credit card statements if necessary. I am unsure about the Pitney Bowes charge. I wanted to bring this matter to eBay's attention in case they can assist further. Thank you for any help you can offer. C.M.

Good morning. I recently sold a pair of sandals, and the payment (a small amount) is currently on hold in my PayPal account. I have contacted PayPal, and they confirmed that the hold is due to eBay. The customer, Kevin Scott from 20 Newchester Cross, Merriot, Somerset UK, TA16 5QJ, made the payment on July 22, [redacted], and is frustrated by the situation. My bank account and PayPal account are both in good standing. Can you please advise me on what is happening? Thank you. - Kevin S.

Dear Ms. Cigán, I am writing regarding the recent email you received. I want to inform you about the legal representation for ŠKODA AUTO a.s., in trademark law matters. They have issued a request to eBay to remove your listings for fake LED door projectors using their brand names, such as "ŠKODA," "OCTAVIA," and "SKODA SUPERB." They assert that your use of these trademarks infringes on their rights. In the email, Lubberger ∙ Lehment, represented by Dr. Amir Heydarinami, has asked you to sign a cease and desist declaration, provide supplier and sales information, and surrender any remaining counterfeit products by August 14. Failure to comply may result in legal action to enforce their claims. They also mention potential damages and reimbursement for legal costs. If you have concerns or need assistance, please let me know. Best regards.
