I purchased a Terratek hedge cutter from Futuradirect with order number 15-07[redacted]3 for £85. I have only used it lightly three times, but it stopped working today. I tried calling their number 01[redacted]30, but due to COVID, they are not accepting calls, which seems odd. I hope I emailed them correctly. I want assurance that this is not a scam as they should be reachable by phone. It has only been 7 months since I bought it, and it comes with a 24-month guarantee. I purchased three sets of plastic waterproof pants from the overseas supplier, cargogoods, on February 20th. The estimated delivery was supposed to be in the first week of May. I did not receive a tracking number, so I contacted the supplier three times requesting one, but they never replied. I reached out to eBay customer service to explain the situation, and they advised me to wait until after the estimated delivery date to see if a tracking number would be provided. After further attempts to contact the seller, I discovered the status now shows the seller as unavailable until January [redacted], which seems very suspicious. I am requesting a refund for my payment as the seller has failed to provide a tracking number, ignored my messages, and appears unhelpful. I suspect fraudulent activity from the seller.

I've filed a case against seller XNBG-0 with case ID [redacted] and return ID [redacted], returning the item via Royal Mail tracked with ID QQ[redacted]51GB. Tracking shows the parcel was returned to sender due to a wrong address claim, even though the address was provided by the seller/eBay on the preprinted label. It seems the seller is using this as a tactic to delay my refund. I can't add notes to my claim as eBay closed the case. I believe the seller has no intention of refunding me. I'll wait 48 hours for eBay to respond, then I'll escalate through PayPal Credit card, as I paid for the item with a credit card. I've tried contacting the seller with no response.

I purchased item number [redacted]66 and after numerous emails of complaints, the item collapsed. So, now I am at my wit's end and want to return it for a refund. I submitted a return and refund request on the 9th of March. However, today I woke up to find out that eBay has closed the return without any explanation. The item is not suitable for its intended purpose. Along with the part that collapsed, some unused pieces are also broken and detaching from the wire. I am baffled as to why eBay would close a case involving a faulty and unusable item. They are supposed to safeguard the buyer, not leave them with a useless product they paid for. I insist on returning the item and receiving a full refund with the seller covering the return shipping cost. I shouldn't have to pay for returning a product that is defective, damaged, and unfit for its purpose. I eagerly await your response. Alan M.

Hello, I recently listed my ZX9 Kawasaki motorcycle on eBay which had a winning bid. Unfortunately, the buyer failed to complete the transaction and I had to relist my ZX9. I was billed for the original insertion fee, which seems unfair considering the buyer's failure to follow through. I have been a loyal eBay user for a long time and have noticed a shift in focus towards new members rather than protecting both buyers and sellers. I would appreciate a reimbursement of the £14.99 insertion fee as a gesture of goodwill. It is disheartening to experience a no-show from winning bidders repeatedly. It would be beneficial for eBay to take action to prevent these time wasters from abusing the platform. If the current winning bidder also fails to follow through, I hope to have the second insertion fee refunded and suggest considering charging the winning bidder for the reinsertion fee.

I purchased a toilet with an adjustable bidet spray, but received a different spray that the seller claims is an improvement. They advised using a pen to adjust it while on the toilet. The return label shouldn't be an issue, but returning 50kg of factory-packed items secured to a pallet is not feasible for me. The seller wanted me to accept the delivery unchecked to shift liability to the carrier. They are no longer responding to my messages. I am concerned about returning the package undamaged and the seller claiming it was damaged. I have been unable to reach eBay for assistance. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. - Steve

Later on, I faced a ban and was provided steps to resolve the issue, including providing proof of the merchandise I sold via email. However, after emailing them, I received a response stating they do not reply to the email address I used. Despite contacting eBay for help and being informed that my account was under review and seemed fine, I was eventually permanently banned - leaving me in a frustrating situation. Subsequently, not only was my account banned, but my father's accounts with over [redacted] positive reviews were also impacted, despite assurances from eBay that they would be reinstated. I have continuously reached out to eBay via numerous phone calls, but the conflicting information provided is causing me distress. I have also encountered additional issues, such as being directed to an American phone number that resulted in unexpected charges. I recently bought a pair of £[redacted] rear lights on eBay to replace the lights on my BMW 540i. Unfortunately, they were shipped from China, causing a delay of nearly 2 months. When I finally received them and installed them, I noticed that the lights would blink for 5 to 10 seconds before staying on. The seller in China suggested it was a wattage problem and sent me some wires to fix it, which took another 8 weeks to arrive. Even after installing the wires, the issue persisted. The seller agreed to replace the lights after I sent videos of the problem, but has since made excuses and hasn't followed through. Since this is beyond eBay's 3-month policy, I can't get a refund. It's frustrating that eBay doesn't consider the long delivery times from international sellers and should offer a longer grace period, like 6 months.

Last September, I purchased a business opportunity on eBay, which involved the company creating a YouTube page to attract customers and earn money over time. I paid £[redacted] for this product, but was never informed about additional costs or monthly fees. After not receiving any information about my YouTube channel's progress or earnings, I contacted the company, only to be told that I never ordered a marketing service. This came as a surprise to me, as I thought I had purchased a YouTube channel. I'm now at a loss of money and feel I must accept it. I bought item 20-08[redacted]9 on March 7, [redacted], at 8:46 am from seller uk- mjr-xx. The item never arrived, and despite my attempts to contact the seller, there was no response. I escalated the issue to eBay, but the case was closed without resolution. I am now stuck without the item or a refund. I also purchased item 23-08[redacted]5 on April 16, [redacted], from seller bristolrobins. After being told the package was damaged, I was assured of a replacement, which never arrived. The seller stopped responding to my messages, and my request for a refund has gone unanswered. It's frustrating to not receive my items or be refunded, especially after being a loyal eBay customer for a decade.
