I sold an item on May 17th, [redacted], and shipped it the next day via Special Delivery. The buyer contacted me after a few days to say that it hadn't arrived. I discovered yesterday that the item was sent to GSP in Fradley Park instead of the correct address. Despite the buyer having Fradley in the address, the package was misdelivered. Royal Mail mentioned that GSP would return it to the sorting office for redelivery, but the buyer is still waiting. The accurate address is 21 Forrester Close, Fradley, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 8SF. The tracking number is SF[redacted]94GB. I am concerned as the buyer is upset since it was a piece of gold jewelry intended as a gift for her daughter. Thank you.

I purchased two pug gin glasses from bargain-browser-uk. Upon receiving them, I noticed they were both broken without even unpacking them. I promptly emailed them to report the issue, and Sabrina responded saying they would send replacements. That was on 14/05/22, but I have not received anything yet. I have sent two follow-up emails but have not heard back from them. I had to buy replacements from another store because these were meant to be part of a birthday gift.

I posted a listing for a 19th-century French violin with a starting bid of £35, indicating it was for "spares or repairs" due to its poor condition with visible flaws. Despite providing multiple images, it sold for a surprising £[redacted]. However, upon receiving it, the buyer requested a return and refund, claimed it needed repairs and did not match the description. eBay promptly granted the refund, and despite my refusal, I returned the violin twice. My attempts to explain my side to eBay have been ignored, resulting in blocked payments and unresolved issues. In protest, I have stopped listing items and prevented eBay from recovering the payment. I feel the buyer, possibly with expertise, took advantage of the system for a risk-free transaction at my expense. While buyer protection is crucial, sellers should also be safeguarded from such situations to avoid wasted time, effort, and money. Is my perspective unreasonable?

Hello, I purchased a radiator from an eBay seller. The item arrived, and it seemed alright, but I am not an expert on radiators. I made the purchase on the 26th of April, and I located the transaction in my bank account as I didn't receive a confirmation email. The radiator has turned out to be defective as it's leaking at the outlet. A professional plumber installed it correctly. However, it seems the seller has vanished, and the transaction is no longer visible on the app; it might have been removed when the seller closed their account. I'm now £[redacted].99 out of pocket, plus additional expenses for the plumber revisiting. I believe eBay should have customer protections in place for situations like this.

I purchased a garden swing which turned out to be quite expensive. Unfortunately, when it was delivered, it seemed to have been damaged either before shipment or during transit as it was not properly protected on the pallets. My son assembled it for me, but the damage went unnoticed until I sat on it later. I contacted the seller, who requested me to return it, but I am unable to do so due to its weight and lack of packaging. I have proposed a 50% partial refund to cover the cost of repairs, but the seller has not responded to my messages. I live alone with my bedridden mother and am physically unable to disassemble and return the swing. I am seeking a fair resolution to this issue. Thank you, Helen.

Mr. Melvyn J. Hood Postal Code NG12 5 JW Hoomelvy_0 On Sunday, May 22nd, I received a text showing 19 transactions for the same item. I contacted customer service and reported the transactions as fraudulent since I did not make them. I was assured that the transactions would be canceled and my account blocked. However, between May 24th and May 27th, I noticed additional unauthorized transactions on my credit card, totaling 27 fraudulent charges amounting to £[redacted].46. This situation has caused me significant distress. As a precaution, I have changed my EBAY password and cancelled my credit card. I am seeking assistance on how this issue will be resolved.

I am attempting to make a purchase on eBay, but I am encountering an issue where the site continuously prompts me to enter my registered credit card information and does not proceed further. In the past week, I purchased two JBL Pulse 4 speakers, but encountered issues with both orders. The first speaker turned out to be a fake, not waterproof, and was damaged in a short shower. The second speaker, advertised as an ex-display like-new model, arrived with a hairline crack on the glass that was not clearly visible in the seller's photos. Despite attempting to resolve the matter with the seller, I was only offered a £25 refund and advised to fix it myself. A local tech expert suggested I return the items and report the purchases to eBay, but I am struggling to find the right option for assistance on their platform. I am in need of guidance on how to proceed with this situation.

I purchased a Note 10 Plus from the store in Cambridge under the impression that it was "opened, never used." However, I discovered this was false when the phone only updated once. I took it to the Samsung service center in Newcastle and informed them it was only a few months old, but they found it was registered in [redacted]. They charged me to force updates and mentioned the phone had been rooted, needing a new motherboard. I can't return it now, and it's frustrating to see the same seller on eBay continuing to sell phones with similar misleading claims. I spent a considerable amount on a phone that is practically unusable; I can't even download apps since it won't allow me to download the Play Store, a feature that should come standard on all new phones.

I purchased an Oculus controller for my son, expecting a right-handed one based on the description and photo. However, I received a left-handed controller instead. The seller claimed it couldn't be the one he sold since he only had one left and it appeared used with the pairing strip removed. Despite explaining my son had removed the strip but not used it, the seller offered a reduced refund due to this. Negotiating, I requested £80 but he only agreed to £40, which I found unreasonable. Consulting with my daughter, she felt the controller was new and unused, warranting a full refund. I informed the seller, who then initiated a claim against me on eBay. I contacted eBay, and after clarifying the situation, they intervened, instructing the seller to provide a full refund. Now, I'm awaiting the return barcode from the seller to complete the process. If he fails to do so, I'll reach out to eBay again.

I am frustrated with eBay because they kept trying to send information to my old phone number, resulting in my account being locked. The automated responses were not helpful during the hour-long loop of attempts to resolve the issue. eBay claims they lack the staff to handle customer inquiries adequately, but their profits suggest otherwise. They should invest in better customer service worldwide instead of relying solely on the Philippines. I mentioned contacting the UK Managing Director with chat transcripts and threatening to post on Facebook. Surprisingly, after this, they finally reached out to my new phone number on Monday, and the problem was fixed.

Both the seller and I are extremely frustrated that eBay automatically cancelled our order. We had an agreement, and I made the payment on time. Despite purchasing the item, there was a lot of unnecessary stress and upset caused by the order cancellation. The seller claims I closed the listing, but I did not. We completed our transaction as agreed, and it's disappointing that eBay intervened unnecessarily. Currently, there doesn't seem to be an option for users to resolve such issues independently. This situation has caused both of us significant stress, which is unwelcome considering the challenges of online shopping. As a result, we have to relist the item with additional costs due to postage increases. The automatic nature of eBay's actions does not provide any reassurance or comfort when faced with such hurdles.

I am new to eBay and recently sold a Harrods handbag. After receiving payment, eBay confirmed the deposit in my verified bank account. However, I noticed two small deposits from eBay (3p and 4p) that haven't been refunded. I received an email stating my payouts are on hold due to eBay deeming my payment method invalid, despite my verified account receiving the payment. I'm puzzled by this as I only have one current account.

I purchased a Hornby electric train listed as in "Good Condition," but upon arrival, I discovered the motor was dead and the cables inside were too short. The seller claimed to be out of the country until 26/05 and couldn't address the issue. After the date passed without any contact, I reached out, and the seller refused to arrange a return at his expense because he didn't profit from the sale. Now, I see that due to his delaying tactics, I'm outside the eBay returns window and unable to leave negative feedback. I insist on either a full refund plus collection of the item or the ability to warn others through negative feedback. As a frequent eBay shopper, this experience has made me consider leaving the platform for good, given the seller's manipulation of the system to avoid accountability.

In March, I bought an unlocked iPhone on eBay from a seller named Roman Reels, known as Rob. The phone was sent from Watson Way post office in Basingstoke on 10th March. Unfortunately, the device has been reported lost or stolen by the previous owner (presumably Romanreels) and is now blocklisted with IMEI number [redacted][redacted]. Regrettably, I cannot use the phone on my network anymore. Despite trying to reach out to the seller through eBay messages, I have received no response. Additionally, the eBay listing has been removed after my contact with the seller. This situation leads me to believe I might be a victim of fraud. I possess the phone, eBay communication, Royal Mail tracking details, the seller's mobile number, and a report stating the device is blocked. I am seeking a refund for this problematic purchase.

The seller mistakenly listed the chain as a 40cm length L-o-L Marina chain, but it is actually an 80cm chain. I asked for a refund of the return postage as well as the £50 item cost and delivery postage. The seller declined, stating the chain was a 40cm drop, even though this was not specified in the original ad. Other Marina 40cm and 80cm chains on eBay are correctly described.

I recently sold an item and sent it via 1st class next day delivery. Unfortunately, the buyer informed me a week later that they had not received it. Upon checking my proof of postage, I realized there was a missing letter in the post code. Despite my efforts with Royal Mail, I was informed that if the address couldn't be located, the item would be destroyed. Following eBay's instructions, I issued a refund to the buyer. I feel disappointed by the outcome as I have not only lost the item but also money. I am frustrated by the lack of seller protection in this situation.

Hello, I am reaching out with concerns about a potential scam involving a seller on eBay. I made a purchase (Item number: [redacted]73) from seller "adpen9044" on June 8th, but quickly realized that a different seller in Edinburgh had sold the same item (Item number: [redacted]52) days earlier, using identical photos and description. Despite my cancellation 20 minutes later, the seller "adpen9044" claimed the item was already shipped, although it was actually shipped more than a day later. This seller has zero feedback, and after researching, I discovered a scam involving the empty box trick to steal buyers' money. I've been an eBay user for 20 years and want to resolve this situation without losing trust in the platform. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Should I refuse the delivery or open it at the police station to ensure evidence? Thank you for your assistance. You can contact me at [redacted]9. Best regards, Michele B.

I recently purchased a full lace wig with braids and a kinky texture. My order number is 12–0 8[redacted]5, and the item number is [redacted]89. I paid £[redacted] plus £[redacted] for delivery. The seller’s username is raerae_2014. I received an email reference ID: (#c9628e69e1d74edcb963b1822d4f7fad#) confirming the dispatch of the item via second-class post on May 27th. However, as of June 14th, I have not received the item despite multiple attempts to contact the seller. I checked out as a guest from my mobile phone for a quick purchase, and now I suspect the seller may not be legitimate due to using fake images. I reside at Marsia White flat five, Chadwick House, 2 Whatley Square, 2nd floor, Croydon, London CR0 3BZ, United Kingdom. My name is Marcy White, and I am requesting a full refund or for the item to be delivered today. I am having difficulty reaching eBay or the seller for resolution, and I am considering reporting this issue.

I apologize for the error in my previous email address. The correct address for correspondence is [redacted] On the 26th of May, I made a purchase on eBay for £[redacted].99. I have not received the item I ordered, a full lace braided wig, with order number 12-08[redacted]5, item number [redacted]89, from seller raerae_2014 (8). Despite several attempts to contact the seller, I have not received any responses. I am concerned about the lack of communication and would like a refund with compensation, as the wig was for a special event at the end of June. Due to changes caused by the pandemic, I am worried about potential fraud. I have also mentioned involving the authorities. Please contact me at my mobile number ([redacted]) [redacted]. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you. Sincerely, Marcia W.
