Hello, I am requesting a refund for two charges on my card, one for $[redacted].85 and another for $3.90. The service was not provided by Alexandra Montague on Sunday, August 14th as she canceled my appointment upon arrival and asked me to reschedule. I rescheduled for Monday, August 15th at 12 noon, but she promptly canceled that appointment as well. Alexandra later claimed I was a no-show for the Sunday appointment, which is untrue and unprofessional. I need the refund on my card to fix my hair, so please contact me at your earliest convenience. I made an appointment with one of your professionals for 10AM Saturday 8/20/[redacted]. When I texted her for the address, she informed me she couldn’t do hair until 3 PM. This caused inconvenience as I had plans for the day and didn’t want to disrupt my schedule further. She charged my card $72 for a missed appointment, and later updated her hours to 2AM-2 PM. I feel this scheduling error led to the issue. My daughter missed her appointment on the 1st day of school due to this situation, which I find unacceptable. Despite being financially impacted, I can’t even leave a review on your website. This unprofessional behavior is not conducive to running a legitimate business, and I urge you to address this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

I was charged a $2.80 Booking Fee by StyleSeat for an appointment I had scheduled on 9-12-22 at 11:00am, booked on 9-9-22. The professional, Donita Gage from Devine DeZine, canceled last minute due to an emergency. When she sent a cancellation link, I noticed it said I would be charged a $25.50 fee if I canceled. Even though I didn't cancel and the professional did, she kept the money, promising a refund that never came. Donita Gage changed her salon location after this incident. I believe I should receive a full refund, and I have evidence of our communication and the address change. I found a new professional on StyleSeat without issues after this incident. I hope StyleSeat can further protect clients from such fraudulent situations and consider removing this professional. I have also taken steps with my bank regarding this matter.

I had an appointment with one of your stylists on September 3 for box braids. Unfortunately, only three days after the service, my braids started falling out. I contacted the stylist and went back on Thursday before my vacation for a touch-up. However, I woke up the day of my trip to find another braid had fallen out. While in Vegas, more braids fell out, prompting me to seek a braider in Vegas for help. I asked the original stylist for a refund, but was told my hair texture was to blame. I have pictures of the process, and the braids done in Vegas look better than the ones done locally.

Hello, my name is Anthonio D. I had an appointment with Gene this past Sunday, the 18th, for a haircut. I paid Gene in cash, but was still charged $80.00 on my debit card. Gene processed a refund, but I have yet to receive the funds back. The Style Seat website mentioned a 3 to 5 day timeframe for the refund, and today is the 5th day. Hello, I found a stylist on StyleSeat's platform and contacted her to book an appointment by paying a $50 deposit. However, after making the payment, the stylist became unprofessional and changed the initial agreement without prior notice. She requested to come to my home or even travel to another state for the service, which was not agreed upon. When I expressed my inability to fulfill these changes, I requested a refund of my deposit. The stylist agreed to refund the money within 3-5 days but it has been 8 days and I have not received it yet. I have been trying to reach out to her for the refund, but have not received any response. I am seeking assistance in getting my $50 deposit refunded. Despite her receiving a receipt confirming payment, the transaction did not go through on my end. This evening, my daughter and I visited Way 2 Kinky for our scheduled appointment at 5:30 pm. Upon arrival, the stylist informed us that the requested hairstyle couldn't be accommodated that day and suggested rescheduling for tomorrow. Despite traveling 40 minutes for the appointment, we decided to cancel. The lack of prior communication regarding the limitations on the style was disappointing. Additionally, after returning home, we noticed a no-show fee had been charged, which seemed unfair given our presence at the salon. I am seeking a refund for both the no-show fee and the three appointment deposits made back in September. It would be appreciated to connect with a Styleseat representative to address these issues.

I scheduled an appointment with a stylist named Rose Alvine Simo Fotso through your app. She messaged me to inquire about the style I wanted, to which I responded. I also had a question for her that went unanswered. She later phoned me regarding the app's charge to my card, to which I mentioned $6, only to now find a pending charge of $[redacted] on my account! I haven't received any services from her yet. During the call, she advised me to cancel the appointment, remove my credit card from the StyleSeat site, and bring her $[redacted] directly instead, alleging that StyleSeat only gives her half of the payment for the service. After canceling the appointment, I discovered the $[redacted] pending charge in my bank account. I do not want to proceed with this stylist and request the cancellation of the pending charge.

I have experienced two situations where StyleSeat charged my account for clients who didn't show up for appointments without canceling in advance. It is frustrating that my funds were taken due to the clients' failure to follow my policies. The clients involved were E. J. and Z. S. I prefer other means of contact over email, as it may not be effective for everyone. Waiting for a response within 48 hours can be inconvenient for clients. Despite already collecting fees from my transactions, my policies seem to be overlooked when refunding clients for not complying. It would be helpful if StyleSeat improved its no-show policy and response time for better customer service.

I scheduled a lash removal appointment, but the stylist asked me to cancel as they no longer offer lash services. Despite this, I was charged a $5 late cancellation fee. I am seeking a refund for the fee since the service was not provided. The lash artist mentioned that they stopped taking clients months ago due to starting a master’s program and were surprised that their page was made public again on StyleSeat.

I had an appointment at 11 a.m. with Cece Monae, but she was not at the shop when I arrived. After calling her, she texted to reschedule due to working late. I asked her to come in immediately as I couldn't wait any longer but got no response for 15 minutes. She eventually canceled the appointment, citing not wanting to rush. I agreed and left. However, I just noticed a $60 transaction on my card at 2 p.m. I am requesting a full refund as this experience was unprofessional.

Hello, my name is Nathaniel Beechum. My bank recently merged, causing an issue with a deposit of $[redacted].34 made to an invalid card. I usually receive deposits by Monday mornings, but this one didn't go through due to the card problem. I want to resolve this quickly so I can continue processing transactions through StyleSeat without adding a new card until the matter is resolved.

I was charged $84.00 for booking an appointment for the next day. Initially booked with one stylist for the same day, who canceled due to a flat tire. I then scheduled with another stylist for the following morning. Post-service, the stylist did not see the payment on her account, so I paid her from another account. The charge happened before the service, and my funds are still on hold.

Hello, I have been attempting multiple times to receive a refund for a $[redacted] charge on my debit card. About a month ago, my daughter paid for a hair appointment with Mrs. Mavis Neal in Russellville, Arkansas, who informed us the payment went through despite no longer using the account. As I was charged, Mrs. Neal has been in communication with both your company and me to return the funds. I am reaching out to request a prompt refund. I made an appointment through StyleSeat as a guest. I tried to reach the stylist, but the phone number provided did not work. I attempted to cancel my appointment within the 24-hour window by messaging the stylist through the app. While trying to do so, I mistakenly set up automatic payment. I did not receive any services or attend the appointment, yet I was still charged $[redacted]. I am unsure how to obtain a refund as there is no available contact number to call.

I paid $[redacted] for the service, but only $[redacted] was deposited into my account. I don't appreciate that a portion of my fee is being kept by the company. Please refund the missing $40 or cancel my service. I refuse to be taken advantage of when I'm working hard to earn a living. If this issue is not resolved, I will consider switching to a different service provider. Thank you.

I noticed that I was double-charged on my card! Although I received one refund, I am still awaiting the refund for the second charge. It is frustrating that my hair appointment has ended up costing me over $[redacted]. I paid my stylist in cash and this experience has made me reconsider using your service for future bookings. The lack of prompt resolution on the second charge of $[redacted] is concerning as it might affect my upcoming bills. I want this issue to be resolved quickly.

I made an appointment with StyleSeat, which had a 15% discount code. However, when I went for the appointment, the stylist refused to honor the discount. I find it unfair to be given one price and then charged differently after the service without any prior notification. Why does StyleSeat provide discount codes that some stylists do not honor? I would appreciate a refund for the discount amount I was initially promised.
