Hello,
I have recently fallen victim to cyber fraud. Someone gained unauthorized access to my work email and posed as a colleague, requesting that I purchase gift cards ($[redacted] each, totaling $[redacted]) for a client. It was only later when I checked with my colleague that I realized it was a scam.
The gift cards are unused and I have no use for them personally. I am hoping to get a refund for the $[redacted] by providing Steam with the card numbers for verification.
This is a significant amount for me, equivalent to half of my bi-weekly wages. I urgently need this money to cover rent and provide for my family.
Best regards,
Jabus

I recently purchased Evil Genius 2, but I find the game boring. I played part of the tutorial for about an hour, yet Steam indicates I've played it for 4 hours, which is inaccurate. Unfortunately, I'm being told I cannot get a refund due to the 2-hour policy. I'm seeking a refund to my Steam wallet as the [redacted] NIS I spent on the game is significant in my country. I don't want the money to go to waste as it's equivalent to over a full day of work. Receiving an automated response from Steam is frustrating as it seems no one is reviewing my request personally. I'm open to receiving a partial refund if a full refund is not possible. I had different expectations for the game and would like to use the money for something else enjoyable. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I purchased the DLC Don't Starve Together: Wortox Deluxe Chest as a gift for someone. Even though Steam confirms that the gift was received, the person is unable to access the character included in the DLC. I contacted Klei for assistance, but they are unavailable until Monday. I attempted to resolve this issue through three support tickets on Steam, but each time I was informed that a refund cannot be processed because the game has been played for more than two hours. However, the specific character from the DLC was never utilized. Unfortunately, there has been no further communication or resolution, and I am constantly required to open new support tickets. I am frustrated by this process and would appreciate some help from a real person to address this straightforward issue. I have been a long-time user of Steam but I am starting to have reservations. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am experiencing difficulty with my card and keep receiving this error message:
"There was an error redeeming the entered code. The code may be invalid. Please carefully verify the characters as you re-enter the code. Ensure to double-check for similar-looking characters like I, L, and 1, as well as V and Y, or 0 and O.
The code might still be inactive. Activation could take a few hours after purchase. Please wait and attempt to redeem the code again later.
If attempting to redeem a code from a different currency region, it may not be possible. In such a case, kindly return the code to the retailer where it was bought.
If the issue continues, reach out to Steam Support for further help."
It has been a day since I made the purchase.

My account was compromised by the email address o***.**********.**.*.****@m***.r*. This occurred right after the hacking incident at EA. Following that, I received several notifications of password changes for my Steam, EA, Battle.net, and Facebook accounts. I have since deleted my Facebook account and can manage without Battle.net and EA, but reclaiming my Steam account is crucial to me. The hacker altered my email address and now I am struggling to regain access. Despite checking the spam folder and ensuring the correct email address is entered, I have not been receiving the verification codes for almost two weeks. I have tried locating my account using the name "shatara" under a photo of an Ironman FunkoPop, which is accurate, and verified it with my credit card details from a purchase in February. However, without receiving the Steam emails containing the codes, I am unable to revert the hacker's email back to mine. I have been attempting this for days without success. Please advise on the next steps. Apologies for any language errors, English is not my native tongue and I could not find assistance in German.

I encountered an issue with the game Stellaris, where after attempting to launch it, a Paradox launcher opens, followed by a Play button. Unfortunately, upon clicking Play, a black VC window appears initially, followed by a red triangle error. The game fails to launch, and even after trying multiple suggested fixes from Steam, Paradox, and Microsoft, I have been unsuccessful in resolving the problem. I have searched online for additional solutions, but none have worked for me. Despite other players reporting similar issues being fixed, I have been unable to play the game at all. When I requested a refund from Steam due to the problem, I was told I exceeded the 2-hour playtime limit, which was unfairly attributed to the time the launcher window was open. I find this to be an unreasonable policy as the game never actually launched. Despite the discounted price I obtained, I believe I deserve a refund as I have put in considerable effort to make the game work on my system without success.

Hello,
I bought Command and Conquer Remastered Collection on Steam on May 11th. I have played it for 6 hours. My last play was on May 14th. I played it twice but then got frustrated with it. It's supposed to be a remastered version of two older games, but it seems to be the same game with a different look. I noticed differences from the original games I owned; it feels unbalanced and lacking in content. Steam won't refund me due to playing more than 2 hours, but it took time to realize the issues. I can't reach a person for help, only receiving automated responses. I just seek a refund or a way to discuss my concerns with a real person. Dealing with automated rejections is annoying. Any guidance or assistance you can offer would be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Jem

I purchased the Forza Horizon 4 game on Steam, but it constantly crashes when I try to play, and the force feedback doesn't work either. Despite it being over 2 weeks, I'm requesting a refund because the game's support team misled me. Initially, I reported the bugs to Forza support, and they promised a fix in the following weeks, which never happened. I've barely been able to play for an hour. I have screenshots of the ticket ID for verification. I don't want to keep spending money on a game that's unplayable. I've been rejected for a refund three times already, and I'm unsure of who else to contact. Forza support was unhelpful, and neither was Microsoft support. I've seen on Reddit that others received refunds beyond the 14-day window due to the game's numerous issues. I can share the link to my Reddit post where others have faced similar problems with the game. Please consider my request for a refund.

I received a message on Discord from a user who claimed they were scammed by an account impersonating me and reported me. They suggested contacting a Steam admin on Discord to resolve this issue. Wanting to assist, I reached out to the person provided and engaged in a conversation. They showcased my Steam account, requesting payment to unlock it. I paid $[redacted] of the requested $[redacted], but hesitated to pay more. Realizing something was off, I questioned their legitimacy. Unfortunately, I had granted them full access to my account and Steam Guard. Now, I fear I may have lost access to my account entirely. I am concerned as I have valuable items on that account. I managed to secure my email account but not my Steam account. I have attempted to secure my account and contacted Steam support with no luck. I possess screenshots of the conversation and evidence of the email and password changes. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am unable to access my account. I was attempting to participate in a Rocket League tournament with a friend and had to sign up on ESL's website for a 2v2 competition. Upon trying to log in, I received a message stating that my login was recognized on a different device and needed to be verified. Although I entered the confirmation code from the email, I encountered an issue and couldn't register. Subsequently, I noticed my Steam account was disconnected, logging me out of my computer. Despite using my correct username and password, I am unable to log back in as it keeps indicating they are incorrect. Trying to recover my account now displays a message that I have made too many login attempts and am locked out. I urgently seek assistance with resolving this frustrating situation.

I want to report an incident involving a person named Natasha Niles who scammed me by taking money from the cards I purchased. I believe she is engaging in fraudulent activities on this platform to gain unauthorized access to other people's accounts. I am seeking a refund for the unauthorized charges she made using 5 different card numbers. The card numbers are as follows: [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted]. These are the pin codes that need to be scratched off to access the funds.

Hello,
A few minutes ago, I made a purchase on your Steam platform for the Sniper Elite VR game. Unfortunately, I do not have the required virtual reality devices, such as HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, or Valve Index, to play the game. As a result, I am kindly requesting a refund for the purchase. I look forward to your response.
Thank you,

I don't have a Steam account. I purchased two $[redacted] Steam gift cards totaling $[redacted], but my son received the money through another means. I now want a refund since I won't be using the gift cards. The store where I bought them said they can't reimburse me and suggested contacting Steam for a refund. How can I get refunded to my credit card? I tried looking for a phone number to reach out to you directly, but I couldn't find one.

I received a message on Discord from a user named Todi#[redacted]. The message explained that my account was reported for scamming, but it was actually impersonated by someone else who scammed the user. The impersonator claimed to be Abdul Ismail#[redacted] and provided fake official documents. He tricked me into sharing my account details and changed my email and password, blocking my access to Steam. I have evidence of the conversations and photos related to this incident and am willing to provide them to support my case for reclaiming my account.

Hi, my name is Ahmad. I was playing CS:GO yesterday and noticed my skins disappearing. Someone accessed my account, triggering a Steam Guard notification. I reset my password before being locked out, but the hacker traded a TF2 Axe for half of my skins. I never traded on CS:GO before despite playing it for a while. Can you please help me retrieve my items and enable me to sell them? Currently, I'm required to wait a week due to logging in from a new device, the hacker's. I would appreciate having this restriction lifted as it was not my doing.

Hello,
I need help with my son's account, Zombieking271. While I was at work, my son, who is special needs, was falsely accused in Garry's Mod. The person who mistakenly reported him asked my son to buy a $10 Steam gift card to validate his identity. When I intervened, the person changed the amount to $20 and then claimed the $30 card I bought was invalid, threatening to delete my son's account if we didn't purchase another card. I find this treatment unacceptable, especially towards a minor. I have invested over $[redacted] in games on your platform. I am seeking assistance to unlock my son's account and address this concerning situation. It's distressing to see him go through this and be taken advantage of in such a way. Please reach out to me promptly to resolve this issue.

My son's account was hacked, and the email was changed, rendering me unable to access any services on your site. I have spent a significant amount on games for my children, and if the account stays locked without any resolution, there should be a refund provided to customers who have made investments. Please contact me at [redacted]. I have followed all the instructions on your website and help pages to no avail. I need assistance to unlock the account. Please let me know the necessary steps to verify our identity to resolve this issue, as all attempts to reset the password redirect to the fraudulent email. Thank you.

I have been trying to get a refund for an in-game item I bought over the last 5 days. Unfortunately, my refund requests have been rejected by Steam. It seems there is an issue with the Splitgate servers, causing discrepancies in displaying the Splitcoins I purchased. Sometimes they are missing when I log in. I urgently need the refund due to financial constraints. This all started when I thought I needed [redacted] Splitcoins for the beta battle pass, only to realize it was free. This situation has been frustrating and has affected my finances negatively.

While on Discord, I came across a seemingly legitimate link promising 3 months of free Discord Nitro if I signed in with my Steam account. Trusting the offer, I logged in including using Steam Guard. Shortly after logging in, I received a notification that my email address had been changed. Suspecting foul play, I immediately attempted to access my Steam account but found that my password had been altered. Despite my efforts to reset my password, my original email was no longer recognized. Through this chaotic ordeal, I stumbled upon a new email address, heavily masked with censoring stars and appearing astronomically long. I now find myself in this precarious situation and kindly seek your assistance. The email provided below also serves as my primary Origin Steam email address.
