ID [redacted] and [redacted]. Please flag this scammer. Make it easier for us to get rid of scammers. Another user notified me last night. The scammer copied my ad word for word, posting it all around. Now, I'm in trouble. I've spent over an hour trying to contact you via phone and email, but it goes undelivered. You need to make this action faster and easier. This is why scammers are out there. I'm Todd D., and I have to change my ads now. Everyone who used to respond might think I'm the scammer. You must stop these things and make it simpler for us to do so. Making it disappear from our screen makes no sense. That's unacceptable.

I am concerned about a scam on Craig’s List that is negatively impacting both users and our legitimate vacation rental business. Post ID: [redacted] Despite numerous attempts to contact Craig’s List regarding this fraudulent activity through email and flagging the post, it has not been taken down. We have received no responses to our emails, which is very frustrating. The scam involves an individual named David who has plagiarized details from our VRBO vacation rental listing and is soliciting cash deposits from unsuspecting renters to reserve dates. It is alarming to suspect that he may have already succeeded in scamming some individuals. A few vigilant Craig’s List users have managed to uncover our original listing on VRBO and have alerted us to this issue. Regrettably, one person came close to being deceived. I am seeking advice on how to prompt Craig’s List to promptly remove this deceptive post. Any suggestions, assistance, or insights on how to address this troubling situation would be greatly appreciated.

I have a few items listed for sale on your platform. Recently, I was contacted by someone using the name Wendi Patri. I suspect she may have been attempting to scam me. After a few exchanges, I shared my address and phone number with her. Supposedly, she wanted to send a check as she was away for her daughter's wedding. As our conversation progressed, she asked me to remove my listing and mentioned sending extra money to cover shipping costs. At that point, I became cautious and halted all communication on my end. A quick online search led me to a webpage where Wendi's name appeared with 16 similar complaints filed against her. I am concerned about individuals like her on the platform and wonder if there is anything that can be done to address this issue. I could provide the correspondence I had with her for reference. Thank you, Bill K.

I am reporting fraudulent activity regarding a property listed for lease at [redacted] Shirley Lane in Capitola, California. Someone has removed our photos and created a duplicate ad offering a lower rent of $3,[redacted]/month instead of $5,[redacted]/month with month-to-month terms and pet-friendly options. The calls are redirected to individuals in Oregon who suggest doing a drive-by. The unauthorized ad features six of our photos, written details, incorrect contact information, and a false rent price. Despite flagging the ad, it remains active on Craigslist. I kindly request removal of the ad and investigation into this matter. Similar incidents have occurred in the past with the same property. Thank you for your assistance. For further clarification, you can reach me at [redacted]. The original ad was posted by Jack Corsiglia, who is 91 and unable to address these issues. I am Wendy, his daughter and the rightful owner of the property on Shirley Lane. Kindly contact me to address this issue promptly. Thank you.

My spouse and I, Gary and Diane Soper, listed our rental property in Midland, Michigan on Zillow on 7/28/[redacted]. Surprisingly, individuals started showing up at our currently occupied rental, mentioning they found the listing on Craigslist. We never posted on Craigslist. Someone with a heavy accent directed them to view the property without our knowledge. This situation happened repeatedly with different people visiting the property after seeing the non-existent Craigslist ad. We removed the Zillow listing on 7/30, yet can't locate the post on Craigslist. Please advise on what steps we should take to address this issue. Thank you. Gary Soper

The individual claims to be offering a [redacted] Toyota RAV4 for $4,[redacted]. You can reach them at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] Following communication, they redirected me to contact Araceli Fernandez at [redacted], claiming to sell the car due to a divorce and imminent overseas deployment. Despite expressing interest, subsequent interactions raised suspicions. Araceli Fernandez mentioned storing the car at Camp Ripley Base in Minnesota and suggested eBay Motors for the transaction, which raised red flags as eBay Motors doesn't have storage facilities. It's crucial to remain cautious in such situations to avoid potential scams.

Hello, I have been a reputable seller on Craig's List for many years. Recently, a post where I shared my concerns about a new auction company in town was removed, and now I receive a message saying my account is blocked when I try to post new items. I pride myself on being a seller who communicates promptly and honestly, unlike many others in the online marketplace. I never received any warning about any wrongdoing as the post had been up for months. It's frustrating as I have always been cautious about screening buyers and meeting them in person. I would appreciate it if you could clarify why my account is blocked. Thank you for your attention. Doug

I came across an ad shared by a friend showing my missing long-haired chihuahua for sale. The ad included pictures of the last moments I saw him with the lady who drove off with him and placed him on a pillow. The individual now requests $[redacted] for more photos and his return, which is heartbreaking. This dog was my emotional therapy support, deeply cherished by me and well-known for the love I have for him. Despite my pleas, the person behind this ad simply declared "I'm out," leaving me feeling like I'm in a ransom scenario. I desperately need help tracking down this ad if I provide you with a copy. Please assist me. When I implored this person for my dog, they coldly responded with "I'm out." Please, I beseech you to help. Thank you. Please be cautious as any suspicion could jeopardize retrieving my dog. Gratefully, [redacted].

I am sorry to bother you with this issue. An individual has been repeatedly calling and texting me, disrupting my posts. I followed all necessary procedures for rehoming my puppies, including requesting a small fee. Unfortunately, the man became upset, flagged my posts, and is now being disrespectful. Despite trying to rectify the situation to sell a puppy promptly, he continues to accuse me of dishonesty. This has caused me distress, especially considering my health issues. I feel frustrated that such behavior is tolerated, simply because someone is dissatisfied they cannot acquire a pet inexpensively or due to personal grievances. Ensuring the well-being of a beloved pet in need of rehoming should be a positive experience. I kindly request the removal of the flagging on my posts. Thank you.

I was informed by CL that my items needed to be reposted. I reposted over 50 items. The following day, all 50 items were removed by CL. Subsequently, I relisted all the items as though they were new. Today, I discovered that my account has been deleted or is inaccessible. CL required me to create a new account using a different email. Additionally, all my items (approximately [redacted]) were deleted. I am now faced with the task of relisting every item, a process that will consume about 5 hours of my time. I am perplexed as to why CL removed my items and deleted my account without any prior notification. I diligently adhered to their rules and protocols and did not engage in any form of spamming. My sole objective is to repost/relist all my items that were deleted. Can anyone provide assistance or offer an explanation so that I may prevent such an occurrence in the future?

I was informed by CL that my items needed to be re-posted. I posted over 50 items, but they were all removed the next day. Now, my account has been deleted or is inaccessible. CL made me create a new account with a different email. They also deleted all of my items (around [redacted]). I have to re-list everything, which will take about 5 hours. I don't understand why my items were removed, and my account was deleted without any notice. I followed all the rules. I'm not spamming; I'm just trying to re-post my items. Can someone please help me or explain why this happened so I can prevent it in the future? Can you either reopen my old account at "[redacted]" or transfer my listings to my new account at "[redacted]"? Thank you. - WK

My initial post was swiftly removed, though I intended to revise it. I received an unspecified infraction without any follow-up, as stipulated in the forum rules. It concerned rehoming a pet for a small fee, within the Terms of Use guidelines. The only issue could have been related to a delivery charge, a common practice seen in other ads for more expensive items like livestock and appliances. I faced unwarranted hostility and unconstructive criticism from some forum members. They based their responses solely on personal assumptions and preferences. Certain self-appointed "senior" members, using aliases such as 'snarky,' contributed to a negative atmosphere, rather than offering assistance. I would appreciate direct communication from a staff member to clarify any rule violations or address any technical issues promptly. I seek a resolution without personal attacks or misinformation. Ideally, I am looking for an alternative platform to avoid such negative experiences in the future. Although Craigslist offers convenience, the community response has been disappointing. I prefer to avoid such negativity and opt for more positive online spaces.

I received an email that was unclear regarding a listing on Craigslist. The potential buyer provided a different email address, [redacted], and when I inquired about the item they were interested in, they responded from another email, [redacted] Feeling uneasy, I searched for information on security breaches on Craigslist and found similar scam email examples involving fraud. I saved the fraudulent emails, including one that mentioned sending a certified check and arranging for a mover to collect the item as they were "out of the area." This prompted me to research the best mobile security app and upon downloading it, I immediately received notifications about unauthorized attempts to access my camera and microphone. It was quite alarming. Should I forward the scammer's emails to you or Craigslist? I could use some assistance. Thank you, Cynthia R. [redacted]

I have been using your platform for years, successfully rehoming puppies and selling my car. Recently, however, I've been constantly flagged despite following guidelines. I had a litter of puppies this year and when trying to re-home them for a small fee, I faced harassment. I even had to involve the police and animal control, who found no issue. I'm frustrated with the flagging issue as it hinders my ability to post. I've reached out multiple times but haven't received a response. I just want to freely post my items without trouble. This community service is beneficial, but the flagging problem needs to be resolved for users like me.

I received a response from a Craigslist seller (ID: [redacted]) stating they only accept cash in person but did not provide an address or phone number. They are selling a Craftsman Contractors saw with an Exact I Cut Fence for $75.00 and $[redacted] respectively. Despite giving an offer, I have not heard back. I am located 1 1/2 hours away and still interested in purchasing. How should I proceed? - Ed D.

I am frustrated with the lack of response from Craigslist regarding a recurring issue of my ads being maliciously deleted. Despite multiple attempts to contact you via email, no one has responded for the past 2-3 months. The actions of this individual targeting my ads, such as a Merrimack dictionary listing, go against community guidelines. The affected posts include requests for help, items for sale, a book, jerseys, a missed connection, and an antique knife, occurring over 10 times. Craigslist should support the community, not allow such interference. This situation is causing financial losses, and the lack of communication is unacceptable. I will be escalating this matter by reporting to the DOJ/ADA due to the failure to provide necessary accommodations and the continuous disregard for resolving this issue. Further actions may involve contacting Yelp and BBB if the problem persists. Urgent attention is required to prevent further revenue loss. Contact me persistently on [redacted] for resolution. Dissatisfied with the service, Initials D.

I reside at [redacted] Ridgecrest Circle, Apartment [redacted]. I believe that the Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg and the Google owners Sergey Brin and Larry Page have placed a camera in my eye to read my thoughts using frequency waves. They are speaking through the vents in my apartment. I have contacted the Amarillo police multiple times, but they keep directing me to the Pavilion, dismissing my concerns as delusional. Can anyone assist me in examining the energy circuit and HVAC system in my apartment to locate the source of the voices? I am looking to pursue legal action, and I am willing to share the lawsuit with your energy company. The voices are coming from the air conditioner vents. Please contact the police when you hear the voices after tapping into the energy circuit. This situation involves the Google and Facebook owners, who are allegedly reading my thoughts and have installed a camera in my eye. Please assist me.
