Introduction

If you have canceled your Verizon Wireless service, you may have equipment you need to return to Verizon, if you did not purchase it from the company. You have a couple of different options for making the return, and both of them are relatively fast and simple.

What You'll Need

Remember, you have just 30 days after you cancel your service to return the equipment to the company, or you will be charged an unreturned equipment fee for it.When you gather the equipment together for the return, make sure that it has all the accessories, cords, and manuals that came with it.Once you cancel your service, Verizon might send you a list of nearby UPS store locations for you to make your return at.

Go to the UPS store locator page.

If you want to return the equipment yourself, to a Verizon store, skip to step 5.

Enter your address in the text field on the left side of the page.

Click on the submit button and locate a convenient UPS location to mail your return back to Verizon.

Go to the store and bring the items you want returned along with you.

You do not need to package them up first. UPS will scan the items, see that Verizon wants them returned, and will package them up and ship them for you.
Make sure you get a receipt from the UPS store, in case anything goes wrong with the shipment, so you have proof that you did in fact initiate the return, and were within the 30 day window for doing so.
You're all done. Do not proceed with the next steps.
To check on the status of your return, skip to step 8.

Go to the Verizon store locator.

You must still have a Verizon account to check on your return's status, even if you have canceled a particular service.
If you cannot check on your return status this way, check the email associated with your Verizon account. The company should send you an email letting you know they got the equipment back.

Click on the Sign in Button in the upper right corner of the page to sign in to your Verizon account.

Go to your Orders page and locate the orders for the equipment that you returned.

Click on the order to pull up the order details.

You will be able to see if Verizon has received the equipment that you returned yet.

Conclusion

If you have any questions or need additional assistance, call a Verizon customer service associate. You can reach one from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 11:00 pm EST and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm EST.
