You can add payees to your TD Bank, and when you no longer require their services or intend to pay them, you can delete them from your payee list. After you create your first bill pay payee and add it to your online banking profile, you can decide if you want to keep the same bill payment set up in the future or if you want to remove it.

When you find yourself with an existing payee not using a service, you may want to remove them from your list of future payments. Here are the steps to delete an existing bill pay payee with TD Bank.

1. Log Into Your TD Bank Account

Log into your TD Bank account and choose the Account Services option. Then, click the Bills. You'll see a list of your payees. Scroll through the list to find the payee whose account you want to delete, then click the Details button.

2. Select the Appropriate Bill Payment Company

Click the company whose information you want to change. This will open a dropdown menu. Click Edit. You can also click the payee's name directly. This will open its details page in a new tab or window.

Change any of the information you want to correct on this page. When you finish, click Save Now.

3. Click Delete Payee

Next, you'll see additional information about the payee. This includes payments scheduled for this person and a record of all previous payments you made to that person.

Once you review these details, click Delete Payee to remove it from your account. A warning window will appear alerting you that deleting a payee will eliminate related transactions. Click Yes and then click OK.

If there are no scheduled payments for a particular payee, the program will delete it immediately. Otherwise, it will cancel any scheduled payments for that payee once it removes them from your account.

4. Confirm Your Decision and Finish

When you're ready to delete a payee from your bill payment setup, confirm your decision before you finish. To do this, click the button that says View Payees.

This will take you to a list of your current payees and their bills. You'll see a banner that says, Deleting Payee. Select Delete Payee to complete the process.
