In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this WalMart phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.
We don't know of any phone menus you would encounter when calling either.

What are the hours and when should I call?

WalMart operates the call center for this 800-411-7942 phone number Mon-Fri 7:30am-5pm CT. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 19,181 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this WalMart phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like WalMart staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call WalMart is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday. Again, this is based on a sample of 19,181 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Wednesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Monday.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call WalMart is Wednesday. In this case, it's a no-brainer. Wednesday is not only the least busy day for calling this WalMart number, but it is also the day with the shortest hold times.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

Calling this WalMart Customer Number

Calling Walmart for help with an order I placed online went much more smoothly than I thought. I had put off calling Walmart because I feared spending hours waiting to talk to someone. Customer service in the store around the holidays can be ridiculous, and I didn't have that type of time to spend on the phone. So imagine my surprise when I was able to get through the entire phone call in under five minutes. The wait time to talk to an agent once I got to the hold line was also very small.

Obviously, there are hundreds of reasons why people might need to call Walmart. They could have a question about an order they placed, a question about a warranty policy, return issues and dozens of other issues. Therefore, the fact that it only took me a few minutes to actually talk to a live agent was amazing. I was calling because I was charged twice for a photo order, and the clerk at my local Walmart told me that I could not get a refund since my order was online. Thus, I had no choice but to call this customer service number.

The process was very simple when I called. I was greeted with a simple "Thank you for calling Walmart customer care," then there was a lot of chatter about privacy policies and the store. When that finished, it gave me a list of options, "If you have a question about an individual gift card, press 1. For all other Walmart.com services, press 2. If you are calling to verify an order you placed online, press 1. If you have a question about a grocery order you placed online, press 2. If you are calling about a corporate gift card or status, press 3. If you have a question about our discontinued discount program, press 4. If you have a question regarding a Walmart payment, press 5. If you are calling for a Walmart.com tax issue, press 6. For all other questions, please press 7."

I pressed 7 because my issue wasn't mentioned, and it transferred me to another line and asked, "What can we help you with? You can say things like track an order and get a refund?" I said, "Customer service," and then it said it needed a reason, but after I said it a second time, the robot sent me straight to the hold line.

My wait time was less than a minute, and I was only on hold for maybe 20 seconds before I reached someone who helped me sort out the problem.
