What are the hours and when should I call?

Pottery Barn operates the call center for this 888-779-5176 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 253 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the Pottery Barn call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Pottery Barn phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Pottery Barn staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Pottery Barn is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Monday, which averages 176% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 253 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

Calling this Pottery Barn Customer Number

Calling this number was quite productive, as I had no problems getting through to someone who could assist me. When I called, I was taken to the main menu, which offered several options, including tracking a package, checking on the status of an order and asking general questions.

I opted to ask a question, and the system told me it would take me to the next available representative. I found myself connected to a representative within two minutes, and he opened the call thanking me for calling Pottery Barn and asking how he could assist me.

I said that I would be ordering from Pottery Barn soon for a gift for my wife, and I wanted to check what the return policy was in case what I ordered wasn't the right choice for her. He said that when I placed an order, I would have 30 days from the date of the delivery, as long as it wasn't a custom or special order. I then asked for confirmation that any item that wasn't a specialty made piece could be returned within 30 days, and he responded affirmatively.

I then asked if they would be tracking when the delivery was made and starting the time then. He said that once the delivery was made, I'd need to contact Pottery Barn within 30 days of the delivery if I had any problems. At that point, Pottery Barn would accept the return and send me a label for me to take to a UPS location to return to them.

Overall, I found it very easy to get help during this call. I didn't have any kind of wait to speak to anyone and had no issues getting my questions answered. Based on this call, if I genuinely needed assistance from Pottery Barn, I would use this number without hesitation.
