How Do I Sign Up for Visa Credit Card?

Visa does not issue any credit cards of its own. Instead, it licenses the Visa brand to banks to issue the cards and then processes payments for them. To apply for a Visa, you have to apply at one of the banks that issues Visa cards. The largest banks that issue Visa cards are Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, and Wells Fargo.

So you've decided to get a Visa card. Now you just need to apply for one. You can't apply to Visa for one, though, because Visa doesn't actually issue credit cards. Instead, it licenses other financial institutions to issue them and processes the payments and transactions. The biggest banks that issue Visa cards are Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, and Wells Fargo.

Applying for a Visa From Bank of America

To get a Visa from Bank of America, go to Bank of America's home page. Click on the Credit Cards link in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear. Select the type of credit card you want, such as Cash Back Cards, Lower Interest Cards, or Points Rewards Cards. Then look through the cards until you find the Visa card you want, click on the Apply button, and fill out the form.

Applying for a Visa From Capital One

To apply for a Visa from Capital One, go to Capital One's home page. Hover the mouse over the Credit Cards link in the navigation bar. A drop-down menu will show you types of credit cards, such as Business Rewards cards and Credit Building cards. Select the type you want, find the Visa card you want, hit the Apply button, and fill out the application.

Applying for a Visa From Chase

To get a Visa from Chase, go to the Chase home page. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Under the Credit Cards header, click on the credit cards link. You will be taken to a page with all of Chase's credit cards and a card finder tool. Use them to find the Visa card you want, click on Apply Now, and follow the instructions.

Applying for a Visa From Wells Fargo

You can get a Visa from wells Fargo by going to the Wells Fargo home page and hovering the mouse over the Banking and Credit Cards link at the top of the page. A drop-down menu will appear. Click on Credit Cards. You will be taken to a page with all of Wells Fargo's credit cards. Find the Visa card you want, click on the Apply Now button, and fill out the application form.
