What are the different Tricare plans available?

Tricare offers various healthcare plans to meet the diverse needs of its beneficiaries. The available Tricare plans are Tricare Prime, Tricare Select, Tricare Prime Remote, Tricare Young Adult, Tricare Reserve Select, and Tricare for Life. Tricare Prime is a managed care option providing comprehensive coverage with assigned primary care managers. Tricare Select offers a fee-for-service option allowing individuals to choose their healthcare providers. Tricare Prime Remote is designed for active-duty service members and their families living in remote areas. Tricare Young Adult offers coverage to eligible adult dependents up to age 26. Tricare Reserve Select is available for qualified members of the Selected Reserve and their families. Lastly, Tricare for Life provides additional coverage to eligible beneficiaries aged 65 and above, who have Medicare Part A and B.
