If you think someone hacked your Robinhood account, it's important to act promptly. Doing so could potentially prevent the situation from worsening. The following are steps you can take now to start the process of recovering your hacked Robinhood account.
Go to the Robinhood website.
Scroll partway down the Robinhood website until you find the "Company" section. It's after the "Legal & Regulatory" section.
Find the "Support" link in the Company section. It's below "Investor Relations" and above "ESG."
Click on the "Support" link, which will take you to the Robinhood support page. It says "Hello!" followed by "How can we help?" at the top.
Browse the page for the search bar. It says "Search" and has a magnifying glass icon to its left.
Tap on the search bar. This will cause the cursor to blink and your phone's keyboard to appear.
Since you believe your account has been hacked, type "compromised" into the search bar, but don't press the return button on your phone's keyboard.
After typing "Compromised," look for a relevant search result. Your best match would be "I can't log in." Tap on it when you find it, which will take you to the page of the same name.
Read through the entire "I can't log in" page.
After reading the "I can't log in" page, follow the detailed instructions to regain access to your Robinhood account. If you still need assistance, please move on to Step 11.
If you have questions or need help recovering your account, reach out to Robinhood customer support. Explain why you believe you've been hacked and what you've already tried doing to get back into your account. Provide screenshots, if possible.
Please note that, depending on the situation, it may take some time to regain access. Make sure to ask the representative what you can and can't do with your account during this time so you can plan accordingly. Additionally, ask for information about how long the process may take for your specific situation.
Once you realize your Robinhood account has been compromised, don't delay in seeking assistance from a customer support representative. They can inform you if it actually was hacked and, if so, what you can do about it. The representative will also let you know what they're doing on their end. Make sure to ask what you can do to prevent this situation from happening again in the future.
