Yes, the Elite FS units are designed to show depth even at high speeds. However, the accuracy may vary depending on factors such as boat type, water conditions, and transducer installation.

Loss of bottom tracking can occur due to various factors, including boat speed, the angle of the transducer, and water conditions. At moderate speeds or when the boat is on step, the transducer may not be in the optimal position to read the bottom. Ensure that the transducer is installed correctly and at the proper angle. Additionally, adjust your speed or try to angle your boat differently to maintain better contact with the bottom. If issues persist, we recommend reviewing your unit's settings for fish-finding modes or making sure firmware is up to date.

To set master and slave on Lowrance HDS units, go to the Network Settings menu. Select "Data Sources," then choose the device you want to set as master. Mark it as "Preferred Device." Repeat the process for the slave device but don't mark it as preferred. This ensures the master unit controls key functions while the slave unit acts as backup.

To set the time on a Lowrance device without a touchscreen, navigate through the menu using the arrow keys. Go to the settings or system menu, find the date and time settings, and adjust them as necessary using the arrow keys and the enter/select button. Different models may have specific instructions in the user manual.

You can upgrade your C-MAP chart by downloading the updated data online. Ensure your Lowrance device supports online downloads for chart updates. This can often be done directly through the C-MAP website or via a service provided by Lowrance.
