How is a regular Checker piece promoted to a king?

Asked a year ago
In Checkers, a regular piece can be promoted to a king by reaching the farthest row of the opponent's side. Once a piece successfully makes it to the end of the gameboard, it is crowned and becomes a king. The process of promotion is straightforward, as the regular piece is stacked with an additional piece to indicate its new status. Kings hold a significant advantage over regular pieces as they possess more mobility. They can move both forward and backward, allowing them to take advantage of greater strategic positions on the board. The promotion of a regular Checker piece to a king occurs when it reaches the opponent's back row, providing players with an opportunity to bolster their chances of victory.
