Here's one of the best ways to troubleshoot if your Boost Mobile phone isn't ringing.
If your Boost Mobile phone is going straight to voicemail, there might be several reasons why.
The first thing you should do is make sure your ringer is on! Check your sound settings, and turn up your ringer's volume if it's been silenced. Most phones have ways for you to test the ringer, too. If your phone proves to have a faulty ringer, contact Boost Customer Service for help in getting a replacement phone.
If your area doesn't receive sufficient reception, calls may be automatically sent to voice mail. Double check that you have at least two bars of reception and that you are not roaming or have your phone set to airplane mode. If possible, enable Wi-Fi calling and ensure you're logged on to a valid network.
If just one or two people keep getting sent to your voicemail, double check that you have not blocked their numbers. Navigate to your phone's settings or address book and check to see if you have accidentally blocked the wrong number.
You may have inadvertently set your phone to reject all incoming calls. Navigate to your phone's settings and see if you might have accidentally set your phone to reject all incoming calls. The process for this is slightly different depending on your phone, but you should be able to find out if you've set up Call Rejection/Do Not Disturb through the Settings panel.
Also check to ensure you haven't turned on Call Forwarding if your phone has this capability.
If you have tried all of the above and nothing works, consider factory resetting your phone. Be advised, however! Doing this restores your phone to its original "out of the box" state and will fix most problems, but will wipe all your data, including your address book, photos, and other files. Before taking this step, back up all your important files on a different device - two, if possible, including a cloud-based storage solution.
Each phone has a different method of factory resetting, check to make sure what to do for your specific model.
If nothing else has worked, or you don't want to take the step of factory resetting your phone just yet, contact Boost Mobile Customer Service. Have your account information handy, including your phone number, before calling. The customer service representative should be able to look into your account history to see if there's anything going on which would prevent calls from going through. And if the problem is with your phone, you may be able to arrange for a replacement.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Boost Mobile in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our Why Is My Boost Mobile Phone Not Ringing and Going Straight to Voicemail? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
