How Do I Update Information in My AT&T Account?

Updating your AT&T account is a fairly easy process. It can be accomplished both online and by calling customer service. Customer service can update your account with the new information you give them. Regardless of the type of account, the process is the same. If you opt to make changes to your account online, simply select the specific account that you'd like to update, make changes, and save to update. Both methods are quick and easy and go into effect immediately after they are made.

Updating your AT&T profile is a fairly simple process. It's something that can be accomplished in more than one way. Of course, you can contact customer support if you don't want to do it on your own. Customer service can make note of any changes to your account without you having to make the changes yourself. However, you can also make updates to your account without calling customer service to make the changes.

Online Update

If you want to update your AT&T account on your own, simply login to your myAT&T account and go to contact information. Select the option for email, address, and phone then select edit. Once you've selected this option make all the changes you need to make and save your changes. This process is the same regardless of the type of AT&T account that you update. Simply select the specific account that you want to update from the drop-down window and follow the same steps outlined to make the changes.

Call Customer Service

If you decide to update your information by calling customer service, simply call the toll free customer service number. An auto attendant will answer your call and you will be asked to enter your account number. After this, you will be connected to a customer service associate who will help you make any needed changes. Customer service can make changes to your address, phone number, email, and other important details of your account. These changes are updates immediately.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for AT&T Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like AT&T in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Update Information in My AT&T Account? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
