After selling an item on eBay, the buyer requested a refund claiming the item was different from what was sold. Despite eBay initially making the buyer pay, they later ruled in the buyer's favor, refunded the money, and now demand the seller to pay up. The buyer returned an old AT&T Blackberry instead of the Samsung Galaxy that was originally sold. Allegations of theft or fraud arise, with eBay threatening account suspension if the refunded amount isn't repaid. Frustrated by the lack of assistance, the seller seeks help with the transaction identified by ID number [redacted]67. Despite informing eBay of the discrepancy and prior confirmation that a refund wasn't required, the seller now faces a challenging situation.

I am Lawrence T., residing at [redacted] Deepwater Drive, Stella, NC [redacted]. I recently bought a model airplane from Porkrinds4, but it arrived damaged without any order or shipping details. When I contacted Customer Support, they mentioned I needed a $[redacted].00 balance in my account to return a $29.00 item. After checking my account today, it was confirmed the $[redacted].00 was not there. Another representative said I needed $[redacted].00 in the account. I find it unreasonable to require such a high amount to return a low-value item. Today is February 23, [redacted], I expect my refund promptly by February 27, [redacted], in certified funds. If not received by then, I will escalate the issue to the FTC, Facebook, and my legal advisor.

I was browsing Facebook for a car and stumbled upon an ad for a [redacted] Grand Cherokee priced at $[redacted], within my budget. After contacting the seller via email, she mentioned that she was selling it because of personal reasons. Despite being unable to see the car due to military training obligations, she sent an invoice which I promptly paid. However, I later discovered an extra $[redacted] needed for shipping per eBay's policy. After a series of phone calls with a person from eBay, who promised a confirmation number but never delivered, I was left with added expenses and no real progress. The seller became unresponsive, and eBay customer service had no records of my transaction. I am seeking a full refund for this troublesome experience.

I am a seller from Germany who listed a [redacted]€ laptop on eBay and received what I thought was a legitimate buying request. After agreeing on shipping costs, the buyer insisted on using PayPal for payment. I received emails appearing to be from "service@paypal" confirming the payment was made but on hold until I sent the item and provided a shipping number. This seemed valid on my phone, so I sent the package. Upon checking on my computer, I discovered the emails were actually from "[redacted]". I realized it was a scam too late. The parcel is en route to the UK, and I can't stop it. The fraudster is still trying to convince me the payment went through, unaware that I dispatched the item. I'm hopeful someone can intercept the package before it reaches the scammer's address. I'm willing to provide the address.

Hello, I am frustrated by receiving automated messages from PayPal and not having a direct email to contact eBay. I recently lost $25 due to a fraudulent transaction and need assistance in recovering it. After opening a return case, eBay instructed me to follow steps in the Resolution Center, but I encountered difficulties closing the return to proceed with the steps. I am unable to reach eBay or PayPal directly, as eBay doesn't provide an email for contact and PayPal only sends automated responses. I am a genuine eBay and PayPal user who recently found out that the seller's account was hacked, leading to the transaction being stopped. As a result, I closed the previous return and now can't reopen it. I'm seeking your assistance to resolve this issue. Thank you.

A buyer who didn't pay won my auction and requested I ship to an unverified address. Despite having 65 bidders during the 7-day auction, the non-paying winner caused issues. Trying to offer the item to the next highest bidder failed due to limitations in eBay's system. It inaccurately indicated I had reached a $1,[redacted] monthly sales threshold, preventing me from relisting or selling anything. The buyer's behavior with zero feedback and asking for a different shipping address without paying compounded the situation. I am requesting a removal of the auction fees and access to re-list the item without the false sales limitations hindering me.

I purchased a mask from seller "audreyhepburn8cn" on January 13, [redacted]. However, the postal tracking for the mask stopped about two weeks ago. I have been trying to contact the seller to get more information, but have not had any success. Since the item is lost in transit and I cannot return it, I am requesting a full refund. The last tracking information shows it was in Seattle with USPS 12 days ago, which is unusual as it should have arrived by now. I believe waiting for the delivery window for a refund is no longer reasonable in this case. I urge the seller to either provide a full refund or an accurate USPS tracking number so I can locate the item.

I came across a Honda Accord [redacted] listed for $1,[redacted] on OfferUp. The seller provided an email address to contact her. Initially intrigued by the low price, I was told a story about the car being connected to her deceased son, which made me feel uneasy. After agreeing to the purchase, I was instructed to provide my details for a transaction through eBay Motors. When I received an invoice directing me to buy eBay cards and load them with cash, I became suspicious and realized it was a scam. Hearing about a similar experience from a coworker's family member and reading up on scam prevention on this site confirmed my suspicions. I share this to help others avoid falling victim to such scams.

Hello, I need eBay's assistance with a case involving a buyer, Mister ROGERS, who has returned an item to an old address of mine without paying for it. Despite my efforts to communicate with him, he is unresponsive. I kindly request eBay's help in resolving this matter. The tracking number for the returned item is USPS: [redacted][redacted]30. The item was delivered on February 20 to BARK RIVER, MI [redacted] and signed for by T ROGERS. My goal is to either receive the item back or obtain a refund. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I encountered an issue with my account. I requested a new one from the seller who asked me to close the case for a replacement. I complied on Feb 16, and have been awaiting a response since then. Thank you, eBay.

Hello, I'm Catherine Poore and I have a question. I am unsure about an invoice for a [redacted] Toyota Tacoma purchased on eBay. The seller's daughter listed it on Offer Up, which adds to my uncertainty. Could you verify the ID number on the invoice for me? I will attempt to send you a picture of the invoice. While they say if something seems too good to be true, it probably is, I am still hopeful this might be an exception. If you need more details, please contact me via email.

I am having an issue with one of the sellers on your platform, creativeonline100. My request number is #[redacted]. I placed an order for the "Salon Hairdressing Practice Training Head Long Hair Mannequin Doll + Clamp" on 11.11.[redacted]. When the delivery period was about to end, I contacted the seller regarding the delay. They assured me they would send another item and we agreed that if I received two items, I would return one. However, the tracking number provided by the seller was incorrect and the delivery was delayed. Despite multiple attempts to contact the seller, I only received the same generic response: "dear customer, i will check it for you soon, please do not worry." I suspect the seller never shipped my purchase, and based on other feedback I read, it seems I am not the only one facing this issue with this seller.

Dear sirs, I placed a winning bid for an iPhone from WJD Repairs in Doncaster, UK with item number [redacted]48. I am experiencing difficulties in making the payment as my bank suspects it may be due to my card not being registered at the shipping address, which is a friend's property in Cyprus. After numerous attempts to contact WJD via email, they have advised me to pay through PayPal, but I lack an updated PayPal account with current security details. Despite my efforts, WJD refuses to provide direct payment details or contact information. This situation has resulted in significant expenses from phone calls, amounting to 160GBP, in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and assistance from eBay, PayPal, and the seller is leaving me frustrated. I am willing to pay for the item but feel discouraged due to the mounting costs. I am seeking assistance from eBay to address this matter promptly, especially since WJD threatens to report non-paying buyers. Time is running out, and I am growing impatient with the situation. Thank you, Andy Woodhead

Dear Sirs, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experiences selling items on eBay. There have been several issues that have left me feeling frustrated, and I would appreciate it if you could investigate these matters promptly. Item number [redacted]31 was sold, but the buyer never paid. Despite my contact with eBay, no action was taken on this matter. For item [redacted]39, the buyer requested a refund before I shipped the item, yet I was still charged selling fees by eBay. Another problem arose with item [redacted]04 when the buyer requested a return while I was away. The case was decided in their favor, even though I disagree that the item was sent with stains. Additionally, the dress was returned to my previous address and has now gone missing in transit. I am disheartened by the inconsistencies in eBay's resolution of these cases, as it often seems to be against me. This situation has not only cost me money but also resulted in the loss of my dress. I urgently request a response to address these concerns. As a regular seller on eBay, this experience has made me hesitant to continue selling, especially since the proceeds from my sales go to charity. Sincerely, Jessica J.

I accidentally pressed the refund button instead of canceling my purchase on eBay. The seller has been deleted, so I can't contact them anymore. eBay support keeps redirecting me to return details. I didn't use PayPal for payment. I'm unsure how to proceed with my bank since I hit refund instead of cancel. I haven't received the item or any communication about it in a month. I'm stressed about this situation as I'm moving soon. Please assist me promptly.

I recently bought a 26-inch 7-speed adult trike from eBay and received it on February 20. Upon unpacking, I noticed the seat was punctured and torn, probably by another part in the box. Despite this, I continued assembling it, planning to address the seat issue later. As I neared completion, I found the front brake was not functioning due to a broken spring and plastic part in the brake assembly. After contacting the seller, xzzhiye, they requested photos of the damaged parts. I took pictures, attached them to the email, but the back-and-forth communication became confusing, leading me to consider returning the trike. Sending it back would be inconvenient and costly, possibly outweighing the benefits. I am now contemplating purchasing replacement parts from AmazonPrime instead. Thank you, Larry D. 33 G St Hull, MA [redacted]

I sold the bed in September [redacted], and the customer later wanted to exchange it for a 5ft bed. After traveling over [redacted] miles round trip to London for the exchange, the buyer didn't answer the door on two separate occasions. Despite eBay agreeing to cover £70 for the second delivery attempt, the buyer remained unresponsive. Eventually, eBay refunded the buyer £[redacted] but did not reimburse the £70 fuel cost. The buyer still has the bed and hasn't contacted me since. I have tried contacting eBay daily to resolve this issue but keep getting passed around without a resolution. I am considering involving my solicitor if this matter isn't resolved promptly by someone capable.

I placed a bid on a Vera Bradley purse assuming it was new as it was pictured with a Vera Bradley tag. Upon realizing it was used, I contacted the seller who confirmed it was pre-owned. Despite being the only bidder, I proceeded with the purchase due to my bid. The seller admitted to pinning a cut-off tag from a box onto the purse for photos. I reached out to cancel the purchase before the scheduled shipment on March 4, [redacted], on March 2, [redacted]. The seller has not yet agreed to a refund at the time of writing. I am open to providing pictures and email exchanges if needed.

I recently made an offer on an item I wanted to buy, and the seller accepted. I proceeded to pay via PayPal on eBay. PayPal confirmed the payment and the seller received the money. However, the seller messaged me accusing me of not paying, even though both eBay and PayPal show that I did. The item is supposed to be shipped on 8th March. I need assistance with this issue as the seller is claiming non-payment despite evidence. I have emails from both eBay and PayPal proving the transaction. The seller's username is mbwsrjw2004_8. I am willing to provide any necessary information to resolve this matter.

I am seeking a refund for two orders where the seller did not send the correct items I ordered. The item numbers in question are [redacted]88 and [redacted]08, both for Guta Prime Plus 2,[redacted],000MG. Instead, they sent Gluta Primme New with [redacted].00MG. Despite multiple emails requesting the correct item or return instructions, they have not provided the address for the return. After the latest email on Feb. 27th,'19 expressing my dissatisfaction, they replied on March 3rd claiming ingredients are the same due to packaging changes. However, upon comparing the ingredients listed, they do not match. I am adamant about receiving a refund for the incorrect items they sent.
