On February 6th, I sold an item on eBay. Later, on February 18th, the buyer contacted me to report that they hadn't received the item, despite my proof of posting. The same day, the buyer opened a case for the unreceived item. The following day, the buyer confirmed the arrival of the item. After requesting the buyer to update eBay on the delivery on February 24th, eBay still issued a refund to the buyer. When I reached out to eBay customer service regarding the situation, they acknowledged the delivery but declined to reverse the refund decision, suggesting I directly communicate with the buyer for payment. The buyer, however, specified that they would only pay if I relisted the item at an agreed time and price. Uncomfortable with this arrangement, I researched eBay's payment options. Proposing payment via cheque or postal order was rejected by the buyer who insisted on staying within the eBay platform for transactions. This experience has left me hoping for a resolution where I can be paid by either eBay or the buyer.

I would like to speak with a customer service representative without the need to create an account or pay for a service that I believe should be free. It does not seem fair to have to pay for even an online chat. I am feeling frustrated with the help provided by Ebay. I made a purchase on March 8, [redacted], and the seller mentioned opening a non-receipt case in a message. I am unable to locate this option and think the refund should be processed back to my original payment method automatically. I have been searching for the "open a non-receipt" service for over an hour without success. I suspect this may be a tactic to delay the refund. The seller mentioned that 20 items have gone missing, but this is their responsibility to address, not mine. The order number is 06-08[redacted]8.

I recently bought a car for my stepmom through eBay. It was described as a reliable, low mileage vehicle, and I paid a fair amount for it. After traveling a long distance to get it, the car seemed clean and in good condition. When my stepmom drove it from Birmingham to Dover, she experienced a breakdown over a hundred miles away from home. The RAC found that the engine had lost all its oil, rendering the car undriveable. Despite my attempts to get a refund from the seller, who is now being uncooperative and rude, I have not made any progress. I picked up the car on February 18th, and it has only been driven twice before the breakdown occurred. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a car battery from a seller, and unfortunately, it turned out to be faulty. I contacted the seller, but their responses were slow. They asked for pictures of the battery and the car's registration number, which I sent promptly. After some delays, the seller requested the same information again, despite my initial submission. Following more waiting, they suggested ways to charge the battery, even though we had already attempted all possible solutions. To confirm the issue, we had the battery checked at a local garage, and they confirmed it was unserviceable. Despite reaching out to the seller again after this confirmation, their responses were still delayed. Unfortunately, eBay has not been helpful in resolving this matter, as the seller has refused to accept a return.

Item Number: [redacted]34 I am dealing with a return request from the buyer, 5426gary, who claims that the bite alarms he received were broken. I am concerned because he waited 11 days to report the issue, and upon investigation, I found that he had attempted to repair the broken thread himself, which voided the warranty. Furthermore, he has not been responsive regarding his use of the item, which suggests he may have damaged it. This situation has escalated as he has now stopped communicating with me. I believe this is a fraudulent attempt to return the items in a damaged condition after altering them. I am disappointed with eBay's handling of the return policy in this case. If eBay does not address this matter promptly, I will have to report it to Action Fraud. I am experiencing challenges with a seller regarding the return of a laptop. I had purchased an Acer Aspire V3-771G Gaming Laptop, i7-3632QM, 2.20GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD for £[redacted].00. However, I received a V3-571G model instead. I contacted the seller immediately on 5 Feb to inform them of the error, but their responses have been unhelpful. Despite trying to resolve this directly, I had to escalate the matter to an eBay dispute. However, I am unable to find the "Ask eBay to step in" option as suggested on the help pages. I believe I mistakenly chose the wrong dispute reason initially ("Did not receive the item") since I did receive an item, just not the correct one. According to my understanding of the rules, the seller should cover the return postage costs for sending the wrong item.

I am experiencing an issue with an item I purchased online. The seller accused me of being aggressive, but I simply questioned why my item did not arrive after waiting over a week. When I requested proof of shipment, they failed to provide any. After requesting a refund twice, the seller finally refunded me, but continued to provoke me late at night, causing me to react angrily. Now, after asking them to retract their false accusations, they are threatening me with being banned from the platform. This seller has a history of mistreating buyers, and I am not the only one who has had problems with them. I have been a reliable Ebay user for a long time without any issues, while this seller has just started causing trouble. I believe action should be taken to prevent them from doing this to others.

We recently listed a nearly new pair of Dr. Martens shoes for "collection only." After a buyer insisted, we agreed to ship the shoes despite the original terms. Despite the item being priced at £60.00, she couldn't cover the postage. We proceeded to send the shoes promptly to the address listed on her eBay account. Regrettably, the buyer claimed not to have received the shoes within 2 days. We later discovered that the address on her account was outdated and no longer valid. Despite her providing a new address after we had already dispatched the shoes, she is now being refunded the full amount for the shoes by eBay. It is frustrating that we are left without the shoes and will likely not receive payment due to circumstances beyond our control. This situation is concerning and unjust to us.

My account was hacked, and somebody purchased a number of items, mainly Pokemon cards. I called eBay on the 16th of March and spoke to a lady named Jess. She sent me a list of purchases and advised me to contact my bank to stop payments. The bank initially said no money had gone out of my account, but two weeks later, my mother's bank statement showed the money was taken from her account. When I contacted her bank, I was told the purchases were delivered to my address. I have only received a phone case I didn't order. The money came from my mother's bank because her card details were saved on my eBay account. I haven't received any Pokemon cards and need a refund from the seller. Despite Jess saying she contacted the sellers to cancel, I am frustrated I couldn't reach eBay all morning. Please resolve this issue promptly. Refund me and handle the matter with the sellers. Hello, I want to share my experience with an air fryer I purchased on eBay. Upon receiving the item, we encountered issues with the on/off button and attempted to reach out to the seller, hsi-global-ltd, for a return. Unfortunately, when we returned the air fryer to the provided address, the post office mentioned that the company name was not recognized. Despite multiple attempts to contact the seller for clarification on the address, I have not received a satisfactory response. This has been quite stressful, and all we are looking for is a replacement air fryer or a refund. Thank you for your assistance.

Recently, as I was decluttering my home, I listed a toiletry set for sale using the term "hand and body gift set" to describe a set containing hand cream, body lotion, and body wash. I made a purchase on eBay, and the payment has been deducted from my bank account. However, I have not yet received the item. Many others seem to be facing the same issue based on reviews, and the seller is not responding to me. I have attempted to request a refund, but the purchase does not appear in my history, making it difficult. My account has been suspended by eBay, and I'm unsure why. I recently purchased Biotin Hair Tablets and have promptly paid for all my orders in my 20 years as a member. Despite not selling anything for over a year, my account remains blocked, causing me to miss out on 3 purchases. I have tried to reach out for assistance through a call from Utah, but it failed to connect. I've requested a call back twice, without any response. There have been no emails informing me of the account suspension. I currently have 2 active Snipes on lotsnipe.auctionsyealer.com, which might also be impacted if my account suspension continues. I purchased a watch on eBay on 7th March. It was said to be delivered to me on the 9th March, but I was home all day and it never arrived. I've reached out to my neighbors, the post office, eBay, and the seller. The seller admitted they mixed up parcels, and it was delivered to someone else. This confirms it was not delivered to my address. The seller acknowledged the mistake in our messages. I believe eBay should review our correspondence to see that I am the victim here. It has been very stressful, and I feel unfairly treated in trying to resolve this for a refund. The seller's excuses about the item's location are not convincing. I am an unsatisfied customer dealing with this issue.

Hello, I recently purchased a headboard from sleepland1 (item number [redacted]75) on March 25th. However, the headboard received does not match the plump appearance shown in the listing photo. After arranging a collection on April 4th, no one came to pick up the item as agreed. Today, I was informed that the collection failed, and I am now being asked to donate the headboard to charity for a refund. I am unsure if this practice complies with eBay policies. I am hesitant to donate the item without receiving the refund first. The listing now states that the buyer is responsible for return postage, even though collection was originally planned. I received a dash cam from Legend [redacted] on January 25th, [redacted]. It worked okay for 2 months, but then developed a fault with the rear camera. The reverse guide lines remained on the screen after disengagement and froze until rebooted when the reverse was engaged again. I have the same camera in my wife's car, so I swapped the rear cameras, and mine now works fine while the faulty rear camera persists. I have tried contacting them 8 times without a reply. When contacting eBay, the closest option I found to my situation was to report that the item had not arrived, although I explained that I needed customer service help. I just need a replacement rear camera. As a frequent eBay shopper, I thought help would be readily available, but I feel very let down by this experience. - Alan Byrne (AB)

An Ebay seller, antiquepapercompany, responded to my slightly negative feedback with an intimidating message. The seller threatened to report me to Ebay, have my feedback removed, block me from future purchases, and involve solicitors for Corporate Defamation. As a conscientious Ebay buyer with a good rating, I am questioning if my feedback was overly unfair. I believe feedback is meant to share trading experiences. I have no ill will towards the seller, but their response seems excessive and intimidating. I wanted to bring this situation to your attention for consideration. Thank you, David.

I reached out to your service department in China, and unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was unable to assist me with my issues. Our company operates from a warehouse in the USA, where we previously listed and sold products. However, I was informed that we can no longer sell from there and will only be shipping from China, without a clear explanation. When I asked for a working member number, I was advised they do not have one. Additionally, when I wanted to file a complaint, I was told there was no department for that. Is this the standard procedure for eBay now? I must admit that I was quite frustrated by the representative's attitude, as it came across as arrogant and she seemed unwilling to help with our situation.
