On July 22nd, I closed my bank account. Initially, the representative refused due to a pending transaction, but after consulting with the supervisor, they agreed to close it, leaving the pending amount. I later discovered the entire account balance was given to me in cash. Now, I'm receiving overdraft emails from Wells Fargo, but being in Germany with a closed account, I'm unsure how to address this without incurring high calling costs. The key lies in providing rapid and attentive customer service, beginning with leadership. On Wednesday, September 26, [redacted], my spouse and I visited the Renton Grady Way Branch to have a document notarized for an insurance claim. Upon arrival, we were informed the Notary was on a call and would assist us when available. Despite waiting while the Notary finished a task for an outside vendor, we were later denied service because my spouse had already signed the document prior to witnessing. After being directed to alternative Notaries, we sought assistance at the UPS store as suggested and were accommodated. The interaction with the Notary at the bank left us feeling mistreated and considering closing our longstanding account. We value integrity and were disheartened by the perceived unethical behavior. Our intention is to convey our experience to the Better Business Bureau for further review.

Hello, I recently had my account closed by Wells Fargo due to a negative balance and lack of activity. I was working on bringing the account out of the negative, but financial difficulties made it challenging. I had intended to make a deposit, but by the time I realized this, my account had already been closed. Surprisingly, my negative balance of -$[redacted].41 increased to -$[redacted].00. I am puzzled as to why Wells Fargo paid for an Amazon membership when my account was already in the red, especially since there had been no recent activity. I did not authorize an Amazon Prime membership, yet Wells Fargo paid for it and added an additional $35.00 charge. Earlier, my account went negative due to $35.00 fees for PayPal transactions. Despite informing Wells Fargo multiple times via email and phone that I prefer they decline any transactions instead of covering them, they continue to charge me $35.00 fees for unordered items, accumulating at least twelve charges. I am greatly frustrated by this situation and seek a resolution. Thank you.

On the 19th, I flew with American Airlines from Florence, SC to Moline, IL. Unfortunately, my flight in Charlotte was delayed, and my phone was stolen. By the time I reached Chicago, my connecting flight was already gone. The airline provided me with a complimentary stay at the Holiday Inn in Rosemont, where I was asked to provide my debit card at check-in. After settling in, I reviewed the hotel's policies since it was my first time staying there. I was surprised to find out that using the room phone incurred a charge of $[redacted].80. Considering my family is facing challenges post-hurricane Florence and still living in a garage, I would appreciate a refund. I believe it's unfair that there were no clear notices about the phone charges in the room, despite other items having price tags.

During my childhood, I designed Quorums, which were small underground living spaces resembling a one-bedroom apartment. It has been over a week since I have faced issues accessing my online account. Although I sought help from Personal Banker Ms. Christina Cancino at our WF branch in Redmond, OR, the problem remains unresolved. After numerous failed attempts and being directed to different WF numbers, I managed to speak to a human representative who tried to assist me over the phone for two hours. Unfortunately, the problem persists, and despite being assured a callback within 2 business days, the message left on my TAD was unclear. Subsequently, I received an email from WF Technical Support Services (1-[redacted]) requesting further information and providing Technical Case # [redacted]93. Upon calling the number provided, I encountered the unhelpful automated robot once more. Frustrated by this experience, I am now awaiting a call back from WF. Dear Customer Service,
I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience I had while trying to use one of your promotional "Superchecks." Last Thursday, I visited The Home Depot in Carrollton, TX to purchase a new water heater due to an emergency situation. I wrote a "Supercheck" to cover the amount of $[redacted].98, as instructed in the promotional material I had received. However, to my surprise, the check was declined at the checkout.
This unexpected incident caused me significant frustration and embarrassment. Despite having a healthy credit score of [redacted]+ and over $10,[redacted] of available credit on my Visa Account, the check was declined without any explanation. I had hoped to take advantage of the promotional interest rate of 2.9% for 15 months, but now I will be charged over 12% for using my Visa Card instead.
I sought clarification from my local Wells Fargo Bank, but they were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation. I was advised to return the water heater and start the purchasing process all over again, which was not feasible for me.
I urge you to investigate this matter and provide me with a written explanation for why the check was declined. I believe it is only fair that I am charged the promotional interest rate as originally intended. I hope to receive a prompt response from you to address this issue.

Dear Members,
I had an account with Wells Fargo, but I neglected to monitor it and make deposits. The last time I checked, it was overdrawn by $30 due to monthly fees. I intended to repay it, but I forgot for a couple of months. Now, when I attempt to log in, access is denied. Do accounts get closed for inactivity? Will I need to open a new one? I prefer to settle the fee and retain my account and debit card rather than replace them. Can I pay the fee and re-enable my debit card? My account is under 18 months old.
I understand I could call for assistance, but I would appreciate knowing my options first. Since I have been traveling extensively, calling Wells Fargo from abroad would incur charges.

I recently switched from the Penny Hill, Delaware branch to the Concord Pike, Wilmington Delaware branch due to the significant difference in professionalism and atmosphere. The service at Concord Pike was exceptional, especially because of the outstanding assistance from Justin Branam. He was always well-dressed and remembered my name, providing dignified and customer-friendly service. I felt valued as he ensured that all my banking needs were properly taken care of during my visits. It’s refreshing to encounter such a well-mannered and dedicated banker like Justin Branam, and I wanted to commend him so that management is aware of the outstanding job he does. Since last Friday, 12/07/[redacted], I have been attempting to purchase the Chefman 2.05L Air Fryer in Black. Despite having enough points to buy it, the website is now rejecting my order. Moreover, the points needed for the item have increased, leaving me unable to make the purchase. I believe I should still be eligible for the sale price in points. My goal is to acquire the air fryer at the discounted rate and complete my order smoothly. I am requesting assistance from a different department rather than the Rewards Group to resolve this issue. I am surprised that during a time when Wells Fargo could benefit from positive publicity, they have chosen not to provide the calendars they have given out in previous years. I visited three branches in the East Bay (Fremont, Union City, and Castro Valley), and was informed that calendars are not available this year. This cannot be true, as my friend obtained a calendar from the Union City (Dyer Ave.) branch. Small gestures like offering calendars can help retain customers. I have been a customer since [redacted], but the poor customer service and misinformation provided at one branch have left me disappointed and may lead me to explore other banking options in the future.
