Dear Sir,
I purchased five new cars from one of your Volkswagen main agents in Morocco (Casablanca), only to discover after three months that they are actually three years old. I can provide you with the VIN numbers and our car contracts with the company.
When we contacted them about this issue, they were uncooperative and did not address the problem satisfactorily. I am considering involving the media, but I believe there might be a better solution. I hope you can offer a resolution that will leave us satisfied.
Regards,
Zohra A.

I purchased a VW Golf 7 from an Egyptian dealer half a year ago. Now my car has reached 20,[redacted] kilometers. I mainly use it to commute between my home in Tanta and work in Cairo, so the majority of the mileage is on the motorway. During the 20,[redacted]-kilometer service at Egyptian Automotive & Trading Co., they informed me that new rear brake pads were needed, with a charge exceeding [redacted] Egyptian pounds. I declined the service, stating the low mileage of the car and questioning the necessity for new pads at this early stage. Despite my efforts with the customer service, they insist on charging me. I am reaching out for assistance in this matter.

I am a proud owner of a [redacted] Golf R which has been fantastic. However, I am disappointed with the rusty wheel hubs, affecting its appearance significantly. I have photos available if needed. Despite speaking to Wolverhampton Volkswagen twice, they claim this occurs across all their vehicles due to the materials used. Their explanation about weather differences between England and Germany seemed inadequate. I expect more from a car costing £37,[redacted].00. This issue tarnishes an otherwise great car. I am looking at future purchases, possibly another R, but this problem and the dealer's responses are pushing me to explore other options. I request Volkswagen to repaint the wheel hubs with a suitable silver, heat-resistant paint to resolve this issue to my satisfaction. Thank you, Pete Evans.

I am lodging a complaint seeking resolution for my current situation. I have attempted to schedule a car diagnostic appointment with my local Volkswagen service providers, but have faced persistent avoidance. During my last two phone calls, I was left on hold indefinitely, with the last call lasting 25 minutes and 42 seconds before being disconnected abruptly. It appears likely that they are avoiding addressing my car issue, which is related to a recall. Despite trying to reach customer service by phone, I only encountered automated responses and missed callback attempts.
My goal is to receive clarity on whether my car is covered under VW's extended recall for faulty engines and parts. I am specifically concerned about determining whether the car's inoperability is due to a defective fuel pump or engine damage. Past experiences with VW dealerships have resulted in being ignored and only partially refunded when a recall was eventually issued. I am seeking assistance in addressing these ongoing challenges promptly.

Subject: Urgent Assistance Needed with Car Malfunction
Hello,
I am reaching out for assistance regarding my Jetta Trendline [redacted] (VIN: [redacted]) that broke down last Friday while I was driving with my two young daughters in Israel. The garage informed me that the electronic head of the gear is malfunctioning, and they mentioned a known issue with a class action suit (DSG7) related to this specific problem. Despite Volkswagen Group acknowledging this issue and a settlement in place, Champion Motors, the official representatives in Israel, stated they can't cover the repair cost of approximately 6,[redacted] ILS (around [redacted] Euros).
As a struggling single mother in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, I am unable to afford this repair. I kindly request your help in contacting Champion Motors to urge them to cover the expenses for this acknowledged malfunction in my vehicle.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.
Sincerely,
S.H.

I am uncertain where to begin, but VW seems to be causing me issues with a new deal. I still have 15 months left on my lease, and I've agreed with my local Mazda dealer, who also happens to be my neighbor. Both dealers are offering me $22,[redacted] for my trade, which is enough to settle my current [redacted] car. The problem lies with VW Credit, as they are providing me with 3 different payoff amounts. If VW takes my car, the owed amount is $20,[redacted], but if I pay it off, the sum is $21,[redacted]. Interestingly, if Mazda pays it off, VW Corporate Credit comes up with a different figure, specifically $23,[redacted], which is almost $2,[redacted] more than what the VW dealer offers. I've had leases before and prefer Mazda's clear-cut payoff system, which needs just one payment from any party involved. My spouse is interested in the [redacted] CX-9, similar to the [redacted] Atlas, but an extra $3,[redacted] makes it nearly unaffordable for us.
As loyal VW customers with multiple recent purchases, I am hoping VW aligns the payoff amount with Mazda's at $20,[redacted], enabling them to clear the vehicle's payment, benefitting both parties. Failure to do so will result in losing a customer who won't consider them in the future.

Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with the mechatronic unit (DSG) in my new Golf 7, which has only [redacted] km on it. The dealership, Dar Ennakl (Volkswagen Tunisia), has taken my car in for repair under warranty. However, it has been 22 days since they requested the part to be shipped from Germany, and I was informed today that the part has still not been shipped. I find it difficult to understand why there is such a delay, especially for a new car like mine. I am concerned about being without a car for this extended period. I hope Volkswagen can address this matter promptly. Thank you for your assistance.
Best Regards,
S.B.

Subject: Disappointed with Service Received
Dear Manuel,
It has been a month since I contacted VW Wolfsburg to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the process of ordering and receiving my new car in January. I have not received an apology or any form of compensation for the numerous difficulties I encountered. While Julian Vaquero has been helpful, he lacks the authority to address my concerns, and I have not been contacted by anyone else.
The Passat GTE Variant I purchased is a complex vehicle, and the staff at the garage are unable to answer my questions adequately. The Satellite Navigation system is outdated and does not recognize my home address. I am also experiencing issues with the USB connection to my mobile phone and require assistance with various routine operations for the vehicle. The English print-out of the instruction book provided for the Passat Alltrack [redacted], which is not a hybrid, does not address my needs.
Despite paying nearly €50,[redacted] in cash for the car, the level of service I have received is below my expectations. This does not align with the image Volkswagen aims to portray, especially in a challenging market for new car sales.
I am increasingly frustrated by this situation and would like to know what steps Volkswagen plans to take to address these ongoing issues.
Sincerely,

Subject: Complaint Regarding Volkswagen Vento 1.5 TDI MT Highline Plus
Dear Team,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my Volkswagen Vento 1.5 TDI MT Highline Plus (Registration No: TN 75-AB-[redacted]) which I purchased on 01/05/[redacted] from Ramani Cars in Tirunelveli district.
Despite the car being only three years old and having run [redacted] km, I am experiencing issues such as vehicle jerking, low pickup, and ABS failure. Upon contacting the dealership, I was informed by a service executive that the fuel injector and ABS sensor are damaged, with a repair cost of Rs 40,[redacted].
I am extremely disappointed and surprised by these problems. Given the mileage, regular servicing, and the brand reputation of Volkswagen, I find this situation unexpected and frustrating.
I kindly request the replacement of the damaged parts at no cost as a gesture of goodwill. I hope to receive a prompt response to rectify this matter. If I do not hear back within 2 days, I will escalate this matter to consumer agencies and explore legal options.
Please feel free to contact me via email or at [redacted]/[redacted].
Sincerely,
Giftson

I own a [redacted] Jetta TDI and have consistently serviced it at a VW dealership. After the last service, they assured me everything was in good condition. However, less than three weeks later, my car wouldn't start. Upon inspection, they informed me that the filter hadn't been changed and had caused damage. The repair will cost 56,[redacted] pesos, with the potential of an additional 40,[redacted] pesos for other parts. This situation is frustrating as they had previously inspected the car and confirmed everything was fine.

I own a [redacted] Volkswagen CC purchased from Volkswagen of Lake Charles. Around 58,[redacted] miles, the engine malfunctioned and was replaced. Since then, the car has had multiple issues - from a faulty battery to warning lights continuously appearing. Despite several attempts at repairs, the problems persist, leaving me and my daughter stranded on the road multiple times. I spoke with the store manager who promised a solution but never followed through. The dealership has been unable to fully resolve the ongoing warning lights issue, even after several visits. The general manager indicated that any further repairs might incur costs as the warranty has expired. I find it strange that the new engine replacement did not come with a comprehensive warranty. After numerous inconveniences, I am considering requesting Volkswagen to buy back the car and settle the outstanding balance. I have been a loyal customer, making this the third purchase from the same dealership in three years.

I made an appointment online at the Volkswagen dealership in Corpus Christi, Texas, to replace a wheel speed sensor. During the scheduling, I opted for a loaner car as I live two hours away. Upon arrival, I was informed that only customers who purchased their vehicles from the dealership qualified for loaner cars. The website did not specify this condition when booking the appointment. Additionally, I was surprised to be charged $[redacted].66 for diagnostics, as this was not mentioned online. Previously, I had a similar sensor replaced at Archer Volkswagen in Houston, Texas, for a total of $[redacted]. The Corpus Christi dealership estimated over $[redacted] for the same service, which contradicted my expectations of standard pricing across Volkswagen locations. It seems Corpus Christi operates differently. I'm unsure how to proceed. Can you assist me with this matter? Thank you, Sheila L.

VW Chat
Hello, good day,
I have two questions this morning. The first one may seem trivial, but about six months ago, I tried to inquire at my VW dealer, Busch, if I could get a polish matching the paint of my VW Golf. They refused, saying it wasn't worth it and suggested I go to a hardware store. I haven't had a chance to follow up since then, but I want to take good care of my car, especially under the hood after 30,[redacted] km.
Moving on to my second question: Gearbox flush. With my 7-speed DSG transmission, I believe a flush should be done at 60,[redacted] km. Do you have a company within the group that has special experience in this, ensuring it is done well and cost-effectively? I might consider scheduling an appointment there.
Lastly, working in a foreign country triangle (Germany/Czech Republic/Poland) at the moment, I'm contemplating having repairs done elsewhere. In the context of my second question (gearbox flush), are there any legal or warranty issues I should consider before proceeding?

I am an owner of a [redacted] GTI VW, and I am facing an issue where the interior aluminum trim is separating from the gear shift, storage compartment, and steering wheel. This separation has caused myself and my passengers to sustain sliced fingers, creating a safety hazard while driving. The service department has quoted a hefty $[redacted] to fix this manufacturing defect, despite my vehicle only having 28,[redacted] miles. This issue seems to be a common complaint for this particular year of the GTI, and I believe it is a manufacturing flaw that should not be my financial responsibility to rectify. The safety concern it poses is significant, leading us to keep band-aids in the vehicle just to drive it.

Recently, I brought my [redacted] VW Jetta to the Don Jacobs dealership in Lexington, Kentucky. Don Jacobs, an authorized dealer for VW, BMW, and Honda, typically charges higher prices than other mechanics. However, due to two open recalls that only an authorized VW dealer can address and my car's failure to start, I had to turn to them. After spending $[redacted] and waiting for two days, my car was returned with only one recall fixed. They now require an additional $[redacted] to continue working on it, despite VW's claim that recall services are free. Now, my car is experiencing various electrical issues and dashboard lights are flashing. This is concerning for a vehicle with under 50,[redacted] miles. I am unsure about driving it due to the fear of it breaking down again unexpectedly. I need assistance with this situation.

I have a [redacted] VW GTI 2.0 that suddenly started smoking while the engine was running in a parking lot near the fuse box. After turning off the car to inspect, it wouldn't turn back on, and I noticed no lights on the dashboard with the key in the on position. When I tried using my OBD2 scanner, it showed an error link. I checked the fusible links to the fuse box and confirmed power to each one. However, one ground fusible link showed some outside rubber melting but still had power. Upon further inspection, I found that some fuses and relays, especially the "engine management fuses," were not receiving power. I even replaced the ECU relay under the dash, but the issue persists. Any advice on the next steps or if you have encountered a similar problem with other Volkswagen models featuring the FSI BPY engine would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Inquiries about Golf Mk 8 media system functionality. I transfer music via USB, Carplay, and streaming. Initially slow USB uploads eventually show all info, including Album Art. After updating and adding tracks, replacing the drive caused duplicate or "ghost" tracks to be created, linked to the first upload. Annoyingly, both versions play back-to-back. How can I remove the "ghost" tracks and keep the updated versions? Additionally, in the favorites section, I added 3 tracks, with 2 linked to the initial USB upload. How can I remove them from the list? Thank you for any assistance.

Hello, I own a [redacted] Volkswagen Vento TDI DSG with a diesel engine and a 7-speed automatic transmission that I purchased in [redacted]. Recently, while driving, the engine light came on, prompting me to consider servicing the engine. Upon further inspection, I noticed the transmission shifting from 2nd gear to 4th when in drive mode, and similarly downshifting from 6th to 4th and 4th to 2nd when slowing down. Additionally, I've noticed a spanner symbol blinking on the dashboard alongside the mileage display, along with the letters P, R, N, D, and S modes also flashing together. I am seeking clarification and a solution to these issues. Your prompt assistance in addressing these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Dear VW Customer Service,
I would like to share my recent experience with the VW service center in Israel. I visited the VW Motor-up service center in Petah Tikva on June 23, [redacted], for a software update on my VW Golf MK7, and was informed of a malfunction in the gear system that required a costly replacement. Despite trying to resolve this issue with the service center and contacting the VW Champion Customer Service Center, I received no satisfactory assistance.
During my interaction with the call center, I encountered unhelpful and rude behavior from the service consultant Ruthy. Despite my efforts to escalate the matter, the manager provided no solution. As a loyal VW customer with a history of owning various VW vehicles, including the VW Golf GTI and VW Passat, I am disappointed by the lack of support I received.
Given the known serial fault in the DSG7 gear of my vehicle, which is within a compromised arrangement, I believe VW should take responsibility for the repair and address this issue promptly. I hope for a resolution that reflects the loyalty I have shown towards the VW brand.
Sincerely,
Avraham Nissan

Subject: Inquiry Regarding Service Action 97U/T3 for [redacted] Touareg [redacted]
Dear Concerned Party,
I bought my Touareg on January 11, [redacted]. In early February [redacted], I noticed an airbag fault warning (code [redacted]) on the instrument cluster, specifically for the passenger side. Following an unfortunate rear-end collision on February 12, [redacted], I had the vehicle repaired due to the damage sustained. However, the body shop informed me that the car was still unsafe because of the fault code. I agreed to the repairs, paying for both sides, in compliance with a TSB related to this issue.
I later reached out to Volkswagen USA's Recalls and Reimbursements Department, providing the necessary documentation for reimbursement but have not received any updates yet. While I am currently satisfied with my Touareg, I will ensure all updates are completed before considering a newer model in the future.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide information on the reimbursement process and advise if any additional details are required from my end. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Timothy M. Blaszak
