During the call to customer service, the representative mentioned that I had won a promotional $[redacted] Vanilla gift card. He asked for a card number to cover the $2.95 charge. After providing three card numbers that were not accepted, I refused to give my debit card. The representative insisted that I needed to provide a debit card to activate the $25.20 gift card along with the $2.95 fee for the $[redacted] promotional gift card. The conversation became frustrating as he pushed for the debit card details. I require assistance to activate my card and utilize the remaining balance. I purchased a Visa Vanilla card as a graduation gift, but the recipient couldn't use it because the card number is invalid. I received a $50 Vanilla gift card as a birthday present on October 25th from my grandma. When I tried to activate it online, I discovered that there were unauthorized transactions made prior to my activation attempt. On October 13th, there was a $5 charge for Google Donations NFG, and on October 14th, there were multiple $5 charges to Google Play, with all but one happening at 10:06pm. The remaining transaction occurred one minute earlier. The entire balance of the card was used up due to these charges. I am certain my grandma did not make these purchases. I only tried to activate the card last night, November 9th, so I am confused as to how the card information was compromised, especially since the packaging appeared intact. I would appreciate a refund of the original amount if possible. I can provide photos for verification if necessary.

I have two cards with a zero balance, and the Consumer No Service required me to provide detailed information. I can observe a transaction on one card before purchasing it. Due to your customer service, both cards now have no funds, and there is uncertainty about when this will be resolved. Additionally, all your customer service numbers either lead to disconnected lines or offices where no one speaks English. This situation feels like a scam. I have diligently documented all calls and paperwork regarding this issue. I bought these cards for my kids for Disney, not for personal expenses since I have my own accounts and credit cards. The error in handling my funds will not go unnoticed, and I am determined to seek resolution.

Last Friday, I made a purchase on intellday.com using my Vanilla Visa Gift Card through Stripe.com. However, I have yet to receive the digital program I ordered. After contacting their customer service via email, they mentioned needing more time to provide the download link without specifying when. Following this, I requested a refund due to the delay, and they asked for my email promising to respond promptly. Hello, I purchased a Vanilla Visa Gift Card today around noon. After waiting for about an hour, I attempted to use it for an online purchase through PayPal, but the card was declined multiple times. I used a Vanilla gift card at Target. I attempted to use it ten times, but each time an error message appeared on the screen. The checkout employee advised me to use another card since the gift card was not functioning. I ended up using a different card. Later, I checked online and found out that the Target transaction was indeed processed. As a result, I essentially paid TWICE the amount due to the Vanilla gift card not working. On 12-24-'21, I bought three $50 Vanilla Gift Cards at CVS ([redacted]) for family gifts. Despite being advertised as activated upon purchase, upon opening, they were already tampered with - the 16-digit code was copied, security scratch-off removed, and then checked daily if they had been sold. CVS corporate traced the cards to Target, where they were used. Unfortunately, the CVS in Monterey Park had a similar issue. These scammers seem to be targeting low-income areas, assuming victims may not report the thefts, like illegal immigrants. CVS (Rachel) assured me a refund within ten days as they recognize us as regular customers. Vanilla mentioned mailing an investigation packet within the same timeframe, yet nothing has arrived. I suspect this may be a larger issue affecting multiple CVS stores in East LA, where stolen cards are put back on the shelves. It's concerning that the theft could occur so easily within CVS, highlighting a security flaw that must be addressed promptly.

On March 1st, I unfortunately fell for a misleading scheme involving purchasing a $[redacted].00 Vanilla Gift card. During a 25-minute phone call where I repeatedly shared personal details, the caller claimed their technician needed to connect to my server, raising suspicions that led me to disconnect. Upon contacting my credit card company, Citicard informed me of a $[redacted].65 charge and assured me that they blocked three additional attempts. Consequently, I canceled the card ending in [redacted], requested a new one, and planned to dispute the charge on my bill. Despite never receiving the Vanilla Gift card, Citicard initially refunded the amount but later reversed it on April 19. Vanilla Gift (case #CB[redacted]01-Order #[redacted]51) alleges they sent it digitally, which is untrue as I never received anything.
