Booking number: [redacted]9 has experienced an involuntary flight change due to cancellation on December 27. Unfortunately, there were no available flights for the following day, so a request has been made to switch to flight UA661 departing from New York to Tampa on December 29 at 11:30 am. The passenger is concerned, as there are no alternative flights after the cancellation. The return flight is scheduled for December 30, and the main priority is to secure the flight from New York to Tampa without incurring fees. The passenger requests a callback to confirm the flight change and asks for assistance in waiving any associated fees. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I'm currently traveling from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Dubai, and unfortunately, my first flight got canceled due to Covid-related shortages. I'm exploring alternative options to reach my connecting flight in Chicago with United Airlines. I'm considering booking a new reservation with a different airline to ensure that my subsequent flights are not affected by this cancellation.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent experience with United Airlines flight UA2372 from Tampa to Newark on Sunday, December 13th, connecting to flight UA23 to Dublin on the 14th.
After facing extensive delays that caused me to miss my connecting flight to Dublin, the treatment I received from the Newark customer service desk was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. Despite available seats on alternative flights, the staff refused to accommodate me due to my slight delay, leaving me stranded overnight at a Crowne Plaza hotel arranged by the airline.
My stay at the hotel was appalling, with filthy conditions and rude service adding to the distress of the situation. The unsanitary room, cold food, and overall lack of consideration for my well-being only exacerbated the frustration of missing a significant family event on December 13th.
I am requesting a thorough review of this incident by management and a substantial reimbursement for the distress caused by the inadequate customer service, substandard accommodations, and the emotional toll of missing a critical family celebration.
I anticipate a prompt and decisive response to address these issues effectively.
Sincerely,
Tracey Finlay

My recent trip from Delhi to Vancouver with a layover in the US experienced an unexpected change to the itinerary without my consent or proper notification. I was informed at Seattle airport that my connecting flight to YVR had been altered. I was under the impression that after providing my negative covid test result, I would be able to board the original flight. Despite having my rapid test confirmed, upon arrival at the Seattle airport, within an hour with negative test results, the airline staff refused to let me board my initial flight, instructing me to take the next day's flight. This unexpected change forced me to book a hotel for the night. The following day, the morning flight was further rescheduled to a later time in the late afternoon.

We bought tickets for a flight from DFW to NCE from April 27, [redacted], to May 8, [redacted], but we need to change the dates to May 30 to June 13 due to a family wedding. Our confirmation code is IHYE2Q. Originally booked for our honeymoon, we are now unable to change the dates because we purchased basic economy tickets. We are open to options like upgrading our tickets or purchasing travel insurance to secure a partial refund.

Yesterday, my experience with United Airlines was disappointing. During my trip to Ireland, I tested positive and had to extend my stay by 5 days. To return on December 29th, my parents used miles and money for my flight. However, my journey from Dublin to Newark was delayed by 30 minutes due to equipment blocking the gate, causing me to miss my connection. Despite being waitlisted for the 3pm flight, I was informed at the counter that I was not on the list and there were 32 standbys ahead of me. Unable to find assistance, I had to buy the last seat on the 8:00pm flight to Los Angeles. I hope to have the miles credited back to my dad's Mileage Plus account or receive compensation for the additional ticket purchased. My record locators are M20EN5 for the original coach ticket on 12/29 and CTRRVK for the ticket I bought.

Subject: Issue with Baggage Charges - Ref: Confirmation Number: F10GBS
I recently made changes to my reservation and added two bags for my earlier flight from SFO to Chicago. However, upon reviewing my updated reservation, I noticed that I was mistakenly charged again for two bags, resulting in a total of four prepaid bags. This additional charge does not align with the changes I made, as I only rescheduled the flight to a different date between the same cities.
I kindly request that the excess $[redacted] charge for the two additional bags be adjusted either as travel credits or refunded to my card. Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Amit

I am traveling from Madison, WI to Salt Lake City on Jan 8, [redacted] to see my mom for the first time in 5 years.
My trip from Chicago to Salt Lake City was impacted by a cancellation of the Chicago to Denver leg (Flight UA [redacted]) due to a crew-related scheduling disruption. I was rebooked on a direct flight from Chicago to Salt Lake City (Flight UA [redacted]), but the new flight has me arriving much later in the day, which means I won't have much time with my mom upon arrival.
I would like to request a rebooking of my travel to Flight UA [redacted] (Chicago to Salt Lake City direct) since it arrives earlier in the day, allowing me more time to spend with my mom.

I experienced a frustrating phone call last night when I was transferred between representatives in the Philippines and MileagePlus, waiting over 8 hours only to have the call abruptly end. This experience is unacceptable, and I would like a call from your corporate office to address this issue.
On January 1st, I canceled my reservation for a flight from Aruba to EWR on January 8th and booked a new first-class ticket. I was assured by a representative in the Philippines that my miles would be refunded for the upgrade and ticket, but this has not been resolved. I am requesting not only my 25k miles and refund but also additional miles for the inconvenience and time spent making multiple calls trying to reach a competent representative. Please call me at [redacted] immediately from my personal phone to resolve this as I have been waiting for assistance for over 75 minutes. This situation is completely unacceptable.

My trip to Austin, TX on UA Flight [redacted] and UA Flight [redacted] on Sunday, January 9, [redacted] hinged on supporting my son-in-law's trip to MX. The return journey to IOWA on January 23 on UA Flight [redacted] via Chicago to CID was planned, with Confirmation Number HGGLQG. Unfortunately, his United Airlines flight got canceled, leading to adjustments in our plans. I was supposed to be there to care for my grandchildren, but with his trip off, I'm now seeking a voucher to rearrange my travel to Austin once he reschedules his Mexico trip. Being present when he travels to MX is critical, and the flight cancellation was due to staffing issues, not within his control. I hope to avoid losing the funds for a now unnecessary trip, given the current challenges posed by Covid. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Theresa M.

Hello United Airlines,
I am Yeshayahu Orly, and my MileagePlus number is UJE14183. I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the United Airlines mobile application. My application is working fine, but unfortunately, my wife, Yafa Orly, whose MileagePlus number is AKH40112, is experiencing significant issues with the app. We have recently completed a combined total of 14,[redacted] miles of travel with United and are planning more flights with your airline.
I am currently trying to access Yafa's application on her Apple mobile phone, but I am unable to log in with her password. Despite attempting to reset the password following the "forgot password?" instructions, I have been unsuccessful in gaining access. Additionally, I have encountered difficulties in creating a new user account for her on the app.
In summary, I am facing challenges and unable to proceed. I kindly request your assistance in completely reinstalling the application on her phone to resolve these issues. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Subject: Assistance Needed with [redacted] UA and LH Reservations
Hello,
I recently made reservations on the United website for a codeshare flight with Lufthansa. My UA Confirmation number is FD94E0, and my Lufthansa LH Confirmation number is 3QXYHQ. I spent nearly $[redacted] on these bookings and have some queries regarding the specifics of my trip.
I am concerned about the short 45-minute transit time during the BCN to FRA flight on Nov. 7, which usually involves changing from gate B to gate Z. Could you confirm if this will be sufficient time? Additionally, I would like to know what options would be available to me if I were to miss my connecting flight to IAD.
Despite purchasing premium tickets, I was unable to select seats for the LH 3QXYHQ flights on either the UA or LH websites. Seat selection was a key feature I paid extra for, and I would appreciate assistance in securing my preferred seats prior to check-in.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you,
Andrew R.

I made a booking for a United Airlines flight to Las Vegas on January 4th to attend CES on December 21st. There was an error during payment, so I switched to completing the booking in Chrome after closing Explorer. However, on the same day, I received an email stating that my flight was canceled. The next morning, due to the Omicron variant, my company advised canceling the trip. I discovered two reservations had been made, resulting in one being automatically canceled due to double booking. I contacted the customer center, endured a 53-minute hold, and requested a refund, which the representative confirmed. The refund status on United Airlines' website displayed approval and being processed. Believing everything was settled, I was taken aback on January 4th when I received a text stating I wasn't on the flight. The refund page showed an N/A message, and after attempting to contact the airline with no response yet, I am still awaiting clarification.

I have over ten years of experience working at Ohare Airport, starting in the 50s. I held various positions, including Senior Passenger Agent and Senior Customer Service Agent at Southwest Airlines. I was involved in significant changes like boarding the first DC8 and training agents on the first jetways. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and had to leave with no chance to return. I later worked at Frontier Airlines, American Express Travel agency, and Morris Airlines. I cherished my time at United Airlines and would appreciate finding out my dates of employment and release for my records. Now at 88 years old and having retired four times, I am seeking to get in touch with the right person regarding my work history. Thank you for any assistance.

I received a notification that my flight, number [redacted] from IAH to Nashville, has been canceled due to possible bad weather in Nashville. I still need to reach Nashville and would prefer not to be stuck at the Houston Texas airport. Is there an alternative route or how long might I have to wait for a connecting flight to Nashville if I stay in Houston? Timeliness is crucial, so I hope to avoid arriving too late in Nashville if feasible. My journey is just starting from Manila, Philippines, to Japan NRT, then to IAH Houston, Texas. Please assist me promptly as I need to travel before reaching Manila.

I bought 2 tickets for flights from Tucson, Arizona to San Francisco, California for January 6th, [redacted], for my partner and me. Recently, I got an email saying our flights were canceled and rebooked without my input. The new flights don't work for us, and I'm still waiting for a refund after nearly a month. This has caused a lot of inconvenience, with cancellations for my rental car and shuttle tickets, plus the hours spent on hold and time off work. I believe all the effort and time spent dealing with this issue warrants some compensation from United Airlines.

In March of [redacted], I had initially booked a flight to Maryland to visit family, but due to the Covid-19 situation, my trip was rescheduled to [redacted] and then [redacted]. Given the current high prevalence of Covid-19 in the area, where my cousins reside, and the places we planned to visit in Savannah, Georgia, we have decided to cancel our trip. As I am 77 years old, I recently had a direct flight booked by a helpful associate from Burlington, VT to Dulles on United Airlines to avoid the complexities of a busy airport. However, with everyone's health concerns, we have chosen to cancel our plans. My departure flight was UA3823, with the return flight being UA4003. I was supposed to collect my ticket at the airport using my confirmation number GMF954. I also have a travel bank credit with Jet Blue from a previous flight. I am wondering if there is any way to seek assistance or a refund due to the ongoing risks posed by Covid-19. Thank you for any help you can provide. Jane K. Burton.

Unfortunately, I am unable to contact United Airlines as I am currently residing in Portugal.

Passenger name: Asher Raza. Despite booking under Shazia Ahsan, the confirmation number for both flights was PLTC0D. While returning home in December, his flight was canceled, resulting in a 4-hour wait and a missed connecting flight. Unfortunately, he received no compensation. During the journey back, his hand carry was mistakenly taken, and he was assured it would be available in Chicago. However, after a long wait, he was informed to retrieve it from a different gate. It turned out the bag had gone back to Dallas. Despite his efforts to complain, no assistance was provided. Finally, after returning to the airport, he retrieved his damaged hand carry with no help offered. Despite reporting the condition, he was only offered an old bag as a replacement.
