I encountered issues while traveling to Kyrenia. I flew from Stansted to Istanbul for a connecting flight to Ercan Airport. The problem arose at the Istanbul boarding gate where they asked for my vaccine papers. Despite showing them, the staff claimed they were out of date, although I insisted they were valid as per UK government guidelines. While my friend managed to pass the day before with older documents, I was not allowed to board. This led to emotional distress. Eventually, after undergoing additional tests and paying extra fees, I reached my destination. The experience felt unfair, and I seek a refund for the added costs incurred during the journey. I am traveling to Istanbul from Birmingham on September 11th with my companion and require urgent assistance to book our flights. Due to my size and condition, I need an extra seat near a toilet, preferably in the front non-emergency exit side or the very rear of the plane. We need 3 seats together as myself and my companion must sit together. Key Questions: 1) Can we have extra legroom on the non-emergency exit seats and an additional empty third seat together? 2) If we book the third empty seat, will we receive an additional 8kg luggage allowance? We plan to have 3 8kg hand luggage bags and no hold bags. 3) How can we book this third additional empty seat to ensure we are seated together? I am willing to pay any premium required for these arrangements. Your prompt assistance is greatly appreciated as we must finalize our booking soon.

Dear Turkish Air Team, I hope you are well. I wanted to share the troubling experience I had on my recent Amsterdam to Mumbai flight. I am aware of the staff shortages in Europe causing delays. During our brief layover in Istanbul, there was only an hour to catch our connecting flight, which seemed risky given previous delays. Despite empty seats in business class on an earlier flight, we were unable to board due to system issues. After an hour on the phone with customer service, we were still unable to switch flights. Consequently, we had to take a later flight, causing us to miss our connection. We were rerouted from Istanbul to Mumbai via Dubai with a 7-hour layover, missing an earlier direct flight. Additionally, my luggage was not properly tagged in Amsterdam, and it did not make it to Istanbul. The boarding pass may have contained the luggage tag, which was possibly torn off during check-in. When my colleague and I flew back to Dakar from Budapest with Turkish Airlines on June 25th, we encountered multiple delays that caused us to miss our connecting flight. Despite being rerouted with a new ticket for the same time, we were directed to get a visa to access the free hotel offered due to the airline's delay. Hello, I need assistance with a situation regarding my daughter and her mother currently stranded at Istanbul Airport due to a missed connection caused by a 1h19 minute flight delay departing from Nice and arriving in Istanbul 1h11 minutes late. Turkish Airlines did not offer any help or alternative flight options, only a night in a hotel if a Turkish visa was purchased. The airline is accountable for the delay, and I expect them to cover expenses like refreshments, meals, hotel stay, and transportation. EU regulations [redacted]/[redacted] and [redacted]/[redacted] are applicable in this case, and compensation should be provided for delays exceeding 4 hours. Hello, my name is Fabiola Ospina B. I filed a claim on May 26 after my bags didn't arrive when I flew from Madrid to Istanbul. The claim reference number is IstTK54577 or IstTKs4577 (not certain after the TK). My luggage was delivered to me in Istanbul four days later, but the person who brought it failed to provide a receipt confirming the time Turkish Airlines left my bag at the hotel. I need this certification from the airline to submit to my insurance company for reimbursement of expenses incurred during the days without my luggage. I tried to collect it at the airport but wasn't successful. Currently in California, USA, I request the documentation be sent to my email at [redacted] for insurance purposes. Hello, I'm Tahir Khan, an Australian citizen who traveled with your airline on June 27 from Islamabad to the USA. I had boarding passes for flights TK711 and TK11. However, in Istanbul, I was denied boarding for my connecting flight due to an email from US immigration. They claimed my entry to the US was canceled, although US authorities confirmed it was not. After a challenging experience at the airport, I eventually flew to Dubai and then to the USA, spending extra money and enduring sleepless nights. I traveled from Tivat to Belgrade, Belgrade to Istanbul, and Istanbul to Manila on July 13, [redacted]. When I reached the Istanbul transfer desk, the staff informed me that I was on standby, which came as a shock. Unfortunately, I didn't get a flight and was offered a choice between compensation of €[redacted], a hotel stay, or a flight with Turkish Airlines. As a seafarer who doesn't travel frequently, I opted for the hotel. However, upon trying to leave the airport for the hotel, I realized I needed a visa and faced challenges obtaining one. The staff explained I needed to depart to be eligible, which left me with a terrible experience. I inquired about receiving the compensation in cash to use during my hours-long stay at the airport, but was informed that wasn't possible as they didn't have cash on hand. Staff directed me around the large airport but seemed indifferent to my situation. When I attempted to get the compensation in cash in the Philippines, I was sent back and forth between offices without getting a clear answer. It was a frustrating and disappointing ordeal.

Hello, I want to share my recent experience with Turkish Airlines. Flight TK [redacted] from Paris to Istanbul on July 13 was delayed for more than an hour, causing me to miss my connecting flight TK 0892Y to Isfahan at 21:45 on the same day. Despite reaching out to agents in Istanbul and facing a lack of response or apology, I was eventually put on flight TK [redacted] on July 14 to Tehran. The unplanned taxi trip to Isfahan cost me over $[redacted]. This ordeal has been my worst airline experience so far. I hope Turkish Airlines will refund all my additional expenses and issue a formal apology. As my return flight to Paris is also with Turkish Airlines, I am concerned about facing similar issues. I'm Mr. JB, and I purchased ticket TK/V68UPH for a trip from Brussels to Kinshasa via Istanbul on July 10th on flight TK [redacted] at 11:25. I got my boarding pass in Brussels but had to get one for my next flight in Istanbul. Due to TK1938 arriving late, I missed my connection to Kinshasa and had to stay overnight at the Istanbul airport. Being a diabetic, I couldn't eat or rest. I only got my boarding pass for TK [redacted] to Kinshasa at 5 a.m. the next day. To make matters worse, my luggage TK946095 with my medication arrived in Kinshasa 24 hours later. I am seeking compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused.

I wanted to share my experience at Istanbul Airport where my family and I faced mental and physical stress, along with racism from the staff. We were traveling from BOM to BEG via IST on 06.07.21 and encountered multiple issues. We were not provided with our Turkish Airlines boarding pass in Mumbai, and upon arrival in IST, we faced difficulties boarding the connecting flight. The reasons provided seemed inadequate and we experienced discriminatory behavior, particularly being told that Indian and Bangladeshi citizens are problematic. Despite numerous challenges, we managed to secure a ticket to BEG via ATH but faced further complications upon arrival at Athens airport. We were left without boarding passes and support for prolonged periods, without access to basic necessities. The whole ordeal resulted in lost baggage, missed connections, and financial losses. I urge for compensation and a resolution to this distressing situation, emphasizing the need for fair treatment and better customer service standards at airports.

Hello, I wanted to share our flight details with you: Reservation Code: RDFYYG Passenger Name: GG Flight Number: TK1408 on August 4th, and TK1407 on August 13th. Our flight got canceled by Turkish Airlines, and we reached out to Esky, our travel agency, to make changes, but unfortunately, they have not been helpful despite being contacted 14 days ago on July 11th. Esky says they've contacted Turkish Airlines about the cancellation and are awaiting a response. I called Turkish Airlines customer support last Friday, July 22nd, to confirm if Esky had requested a change to our flight, but I was informed that no such request had been received. I was also told by Turkish Airlines that in case our travel agency does not assist, we can contact them directly 24 hours before our flight for ticket management. Can you please verify this procedure with Turkish Airlines? Attached is proof of our efforts to resolve this issue with the airline. Thank you.

I purchased tickets from Edreams for Turkey Airlines and Qatar Airlines. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the Turkey Airlines tickets due to a transit visa issue in Qatar, as these airlines don't have an agreement. To resolve this, I had to buy a separate ticket from Qatar Airlines at Brussels Airport to reach Doha. Edreams did not inform me about the visa requirement for Qatar. Consequently, I ended up buying additional tickets last minute. When I reached Brussels Airport, I was informed about the visa problem. Despite contacting Edreams, they have not provided any assistance. It was frustrating not being able to use the Turkey Airlines ticket and having to purchase extra tickets to get to Doha.

Regarding Case Number TK-[redacted], I bought tickets on October 20, [redacted] with my American Express ending in [redacted]. Our travel plans were disrupted due to a pre-existing medical condition and the Covid outbreak. New tickets were issued on November 2, [redacted] with Booking Reference U62SVF, valid until November 2, [redacted] as Open Tickets. However, the payment was double-charged on my Bank of America Card ending in [redacted], and the first purchase on my American Express card was not refunded.
