After downloading the "I am a Pro" app and completing the necessary steps to take on leads, I realized money was being deducted from my bank account without having completed any jobs. I have canceled my subscription and uninstalled the app, yet there have been two unauthorized charges on my account. I demand a refund for the charges incurred as I did not engage in any work through your platform. Please cease any further attempts to deduct money from my account to ensure I can allocate funds towards my essential bills.

I applied to work as a pro at your company, and I noticed that you withdrew nearly $50 from my account. I unsubscribed from the pro services because I cannot afford to have money taken from my account without completing any tasks. I respectfully request that the funds be returned to my account. I am frustrated by this situation and would like to discuss it with a representative. The issues caused by this matter are significant, and I am considering seeking legal advice. Please arrange for someone to contact me to address this matter promptly.

I have requested refunds for the last five charges. The jobs I paid for did not materialize due to incorrect information, contractors already hired, or lack of funds for the project. Why should I pay $50 for opportunities with no earning potential? I am willing to pay for leads that I can pursue and meet in person, not for dead ends. Before I cancel my account, I request a call to discuss this situation. This experience feels similar to my frustrations with Angie's List.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Cool Runner's Air and Heating, LLC on Thumbtack
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Cool Runner's Air and Heating, LLC on Thumbtack's platform. On June 7, [redacted], I received a response from the company regarding my customer complaint, and I wish to address the inaccuracies and unprofessional behavior displayed.
I paid $[redacted] for the service that included adding 5 pounds of Freon to my AC unit, as requested through Thumbtack. The technician's claim that I did not pay for all services rendered is false. Additionally, the technician mentioned that I pleaded for their service, which is also incorrect as the service request was made through Thumbtack. Furthermore, the technician misrepresented the information by stating that the service provided was not a long-term solution, whereas initially, I was assured it would last a significant amount of time.
The technician responded to my concerns using inappropriate language and insinuations, which I found unprofessional. Following my updated review, I contacted Customer Service multiple times, but their response was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting the removal of both our reviews until a resolution is reached, my request was denied, contrary to Thumbtack Help guidelines.
I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by the pro and kindly request the removal of both reviews until a thorough investigation is conducted with my involvement. I believe it is in the best interest of all parties involved to adhere to this request.
Sincerely,
C.H.
Thumbtack Customer since [redacted]

I encountered a situation where a customer reached out to me through Thumbtack, but due to technical issues with the app, they were unable to respond. They expressed their apologies for not getting back to me and mentioned that they will contact E's Piano Tuning directly in the future. They clarified that they did not require any services at that moment.
I was charged for this interaction, which I consider unjust since the customer was unable to reply through the Thumbtack app. I seek a refund of $5.53 for this charge, as the communication lapse was due to Thumbtack's system error, not my actions.
I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed in resolving this matter.
Thank you,
Ella

I hired Howard LawnCare Services without a confirmed price. To my surprise, I was presented with an invoice for incomplete work totaling $[redacted].00 or $[redacted].00, amounts that were never agreed upon. Disappointed, I have decided to remove the Thumbtack App from my device. I am willing to pay the vendor $[redacted].00 since that was the only discussed price. In the future, I will only consider service providers recommended by trusted individuals with verifiable references. It is essential for businesses to maintain transparency and integrity in their dealings. Thumbtack's lack of accessible customer support reinforces my decision to not use their platform again. Jan M.

Good afternoon, my name is Dexter Clemonds, and I operate Dexworks Repairs and Handyman Services. I'm facing an issue where I live in Decatur, Georgia, but I did not select Georgia as my work radius. I received two leads from out of state within a month. I received a refund for the first lead but was denied for the second lead from New York based on the refund policy. It doesn't seem right as I clearly set my work area within Georgia. The representative viewed it as a technical problem and insisted on payment for the out-of-state lead. It's confusing and lacks common sense. I believe there is a technical problem as I shouldn't be getting leads from different states in such a short period. The refund policy or representative training should be reviewed. I have been a member since [redacted] and would appreciate a fair resolution to this matter. Thank you for addressing this issue.

Hello there! I recently had an unfortunate experience where I was charged more than expected for a service that turned into a job. Initially, when I hired this company, there was no mention of a minimum hour requirement, just a $[redacted] service fee that could be waived if I hired them, with an hourly rate of approximately $55. However, after completing the job, the technician informed me of a 2-hour minimum and demanded $[redacted]. Feeling pressured as he refused to leave until I paid, and considering I had my baby with me at the time, I reluctantly paid to get him to leave. The situation left me feeling unsettled and uncomfortable.

I'm having a problem verifying my license due to a spelling error. My license reads "Micheal Robert Adam," while my LLE states "Michael R. Adam." My Thumbtack account is under "Micheal Adam." This issue has arisen previously, and I am frustrated with this recurring problem. I prefer using Thumbtack but may switch to Google due to inefficiencies. Does Thumbtack employ actual people, or is it solely automated?
