I am unable to access my account. My name is Sarah Evans Hatcher and my husband is William Thomas Hatcher. Last year was the first time using TaxAct. I believe I filed in mid-February [redacted], with refunds direct deposited on 3/6 & 3/7 [redacted]. The email I used was with a company I no longer work with, Sysco Atlanta, at [redacted] I do not remember my username. I requested a code via my phone number, [redacted]. I received the code but when entered, it said I needed to verify through email, which is impossible as I no longer work at Sysco. I am willing to provide any necessary information (such as SSNs or address - [redacted] Rivoli Dr, Macon, GA [redacted]) to access my account so I can file. Thank you for your assistance in helping me regain access to my account. - Sarah Hatcher

I have tried to reach out via call and email, but I have not received any responses. I have unintentionally filed my tax return twice and paid twice. I am seeking a refund for one of these payments. I am uncertain if my tax return has been successfully submitted as when I log in, it only shows the second filing on 3/21. I am unable to track my refund status, leaving me worried. Could you confirm if my taxes were indeed filed? Additionally, I would like guidance on how to receive a refund for the duplicate payment and information on the status of my return. I appreciate your assistance.

I was charged twice - once to the IRS and once to you. When I logged in today, it shows that I haven't filed yet. Last night, my credit card was charged $[redacted] to the IRS, $7.95, and $0.95. Today, the same charges appeared again. I need the second charges refunded or refunded directly by you for the second IRS charge. Once I receive a refund for the double charge from IRS, I will return it to you. I cannot afford these double charges. Also, I am unable to print my return due to an issue with your system.

On Friday night, I completed my file on my iPad. When I logged in from my laptop on Saturday to print my tax copy, it kept prompting me to start where I left off, leading to a problem with the selection of how I chose to file. I was unwilling to re-enter my credit card information. Upon checking with my credit card company online, I discovered that I have been double charged on both Friday and Saturday by the IRS and your company. This has put my credit card close to its limit, causing financial strain. I urgently need a refund for both charges on Saturday, as this was an error on your end. Additionally, I need access to a copy of my return. Your system should not have indicated that I had not filed; it even stated on Friday that my card would not be charged until the return was accepted by the IRS. However, when I checked for a refund status in your system, it incorrectly showed that I had not filed. This issue needs to be corrected promptly. As a retired individual on a fixed income, these double billings have put me in a difficult financial situation.

After completing my taxes, the system got stuck on the 'saving' screen for over 15 minutes. I decided to close out, assuming I could resume where I left off later. However, now I can't access my return; it just redirects me to My Taxes without opening the [redacted] return. I can view the amount owing but can't proceed further. Such a frustrating experience after spending 3 hours online, thinking I was finally done for the day, especially on the deadline!

I have been a long-time user of your software, but after experiencing significant losses due to Hurricane Florence, I find it unreasonable to be charged $19.95 for my state return when it is offered for free for North Carolina residents. This unexpected cost is particularly burdensome considering the challenges I faced this year. I am strongly considering switching to a different program next tax season. This is the first time I have been disappointed with TaxAct. I do not recall being informed about this additional fee upfront, and I may have chosen a different software had I known. Can you offer any promo codes to help reduce this cost, or should I start looking for an alternative provider? Thank you for your understanding. Thank you, Irene M.

I have a straightforward return with no itemized deductions, mainly reporting my income. I have two questions: 1) Can I use the regular free online filing option I used in the past, where I agreed to pay $14.95 to import the previous year's return? 2) I don't see a reason to pay the State Tax Prep fee for my state, Tennessee, where there is no state income tax to file. Thank you.

I have already paid for the service online, but when I call, the phone line is disconnected due to high call volume. I paid for the premium service, which includes unlimited tax specialist support. However, I have not received any support even though TAXAct has confirmed my payment. I am unable to file online and the deadline is today, leaving me no time to mail in a return. I urgently need assistance, as I am unable to e-file. I find it disappointing that the payment was requested prior to being able to file the tax return. Despite attempting to call four times, I have been unsuccessful. With only two hours left until the tax filing deadline, if I cannot speak to a representative for help with online e-filing on TaxAct, I will have to file my taxes on another website. I plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company and request a full refund due to the inability to utilize the tax service that I paid for.

I am encountering an issue on taxact.com when trying to pay for my taxes. Last night, I received a "fail to validate credit card please contact customer support" error message close to the deadline. My credit card company confirmed processing the $[redacted] payment owed for taxes, waiting for your (merchant) confirmation. I tried reaching out by phone, waiting for 30 minutes to speak to someone. Can you please resolve this on your end so that I can proceed without the system requesting payment and indicating I haven't filed my taxes? Thank you.

I accidentally deleted the email account linked to last year's tax returns. I am unable to retrieve my username and password. Despite creating a new account, I don't have last year's AGI, and the IRS retrieval tool isn't providing it. I confirmed my identity details were correct. It's frustrating. I have a feeling your support team won't be able to assist me, but I'm remaining hopeful. Hoping for a lifeline from your end to assist this struggling user.

Date: Sunday, April 14, [redacted] 07:18 PM Taxpayer Name: MORGAN W JOHNSON Status: Account Suspended This return has NOT been submitted to the IRS. You have transmitted over the five return limit, and Internal Revenue Service regulations state that only preparers with an EFIN and PTIN can submit more than five returns electronically. Individuals preparing more than 5 tax returns need to have an EFIN. We will not be submitting any more returns for you. NONE OF THE ABOVE IS TRUE FOR: MORGAN WENDELL JOHNSON I did not and have not prepared any tax returns but this one(1) for [redacted]. I am not a professional tax preparer and I do not need an EFIN from the IRS to become an IRS e-file provider. Please submit my [redacted] tax return filing to the IRS immediately.

In [redacted], I submitted payment for three years of state tax returns: [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. However, I faced difficulties downloading them to send to the state, resulting in losing the state return funds and the payment made to TaxAct, totaling around $45. Currently, attempting to file my [redacted] federal taxes through TaxAct has turned into a hassle. Initially encountering an error from the IRS, my state tax return got integrated erroneously, with no option to reverse this error. I refuse to pay $20 for a $35 return. This experience has been frustrating, prompting my request to have my TaxAct account deleted. I plan to reach out to the IRS for resolution. Additionally, I suggest TaxAct consider offering a Senior discount. I am genuinely dissatisfied with this situation.

I attempted to e-file my taxes using TaxAct and was charged for submitting a State Return. TaxAct indicated I owed $4.00 for the State Return, which I paid. However, after filing, I discovered that my State Return was not submitted, despite being charged twice for $22.95 each on my credit card. I also agreed to pay $.95 for the blueprint check and $19.95 for the State Return. Upon checking, TaxAct now shows that I owe nothing for the State Return. Additionally, I was charged another $22.95 on my credit card. I request a refund of the $22.00 for the initial charge and the $22.95 for the second charge. If necessary, please contact me at [redacted] if you require my credit card details. I anticipate receiving my refunds promptly. Thank you.

I submitted taxes for JeanAlan Enterprises on April 12th. TaxAct received the electronic return for JeanAlan LLC. The return will be sent to the IRS and/or State Agency. The next email will confirm the acceptance or rejection. To check the status, visit efstatus.taxact.com. For questions, reach out to the Support and Service Center. Remember, if you need health coverage, go to www.HealthCare.gov to explore insurance options. I am now facing a $[redacted] late filing fine from the Federal government. Can you clarify this for me?

I used TaxAct Deluxe [redacted] for my taxes, but the IRS rejected my e-file over form [redacted] errors. They're threatening to cancel my wife's insurance because they didn't receive my taxes. TaxAct seems to be blanking out our health insurance info despite my entries. I need this fixed to avoid losing coverage and get my refund. I expect TaxAct to refund me for the trouble.

I have recently been dealing with health issues, causing me to overlook renewing my domain name on whois. Unfortunately, it entered 'delete mode', but I managed to renew it, despite the cost going up significantly from $9.88 to $80. I realized this when I saw the page with the expired but renewable prices. After contemplating, I paid the higher fee, but it will still take a few days to propagate. I also tried to access my tax account hosted by Just Host, where I had paid for 2 years, but they couldn't help immediately either. I urgently need to print last year's tax return for my oncologist to assist me in acquiring financial aid for the expensive medication Mekinist. Although it helped me previously, I am no longer in remission and have to restart the treatment. If my phone can be verified or my email changed to [redacted], it would greatly help me access my account. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you, Chris R.

My [redacted] tax return is repeatedly rejected with Rule # IND-[redacted]-04, even though the pre-populated [redacted] adjusted gross income (AGI) is correct. The system prompts for either AGI and/or pin # to efile, but does not allow to proceed without both, resulting in rejection. I did not save the [redacted] pin, and creating a new one as suggested still leads to rejection. This issue occurred last year as well, and we ended up mailing our return despite the correctness confirmed by our COPY and the TRANSCRIPT obtained from the IRS website. It's frustrating, and I need help understanding what's causing this problem.

I have been a member of Tax Act Online for over a decade. I am attempting to re-access and complete my [redacted] tax return on the platform. Despite being informed that I last accessed it on 1/18/20, I am facing difficulty accessing it now. I need to finish the return that I had started about a week ago, not start a new one. My aim is to print it, mail it, and carry over balances to [redacted] and subsequently to [redacted]. It is crucial for me to do this promptly to ensure that I can file my [redacted] taxes on time.
