I canceled my subscription well before the 30-day trial, but you charged me $10.54 twice on June 30, [redacted], and July 30. This caused me to incur $36.00 in late fees each time. I have already informed my bank about this issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a phone number to contact your customer service for assistance. I used to trust your company for its kindness and spiritual values, but I'm feeling deceived now. My bank asked me to reach out to you before taking further action. I feel inclined to involve the BBB to address this. Please refund my money, address cancellations promptly, and avoid such situations in the future. Remember, when something is advertised as free, it's best to be cautious.

I am inquiring about a charge on my account that should have been cancelled. I experienced login issues with no successful access even after receiving a new password from support. I never got to use the service as my account had already been canceled. Please address this issue as I did not authorize any charges. Thank you.

On 7/30, a charge of $10.45 was deducted from my bank account. I had canceled before the 30-day trial period ended. It is important for the Better Business Bureau and the public to be aware of what has happened to over [redacted] individuals; such a large number of people cannot all be mistaken. While I understand your 30-day policy, it is unjust to keep the money when it was taken erroneously. If a person is unaware that their cancellation was not honored within the 30-day free trial, they are unable to request a refund within that time frame assuming good faith on your part. I am requesting the $10.45, which was taken unlawfully, to be reimbursed back to my account. This request is made not only because I believed the cancellation was successful but also because I had no reason to seek a refund within the initial 30 days. Sincerely, M.B.

As of 3:50 PM MDT on 9-16-21, I noticed that the libelous article written by an individual in Malta about me still remains active on your platform. I requested its removal by 12:00 PM today, however, considering your average response time is 45 hours, I expect it to be deleted by 12:00 PM tomorrow, 9-17-21. If this is not addressed promptly, my attorney will be contacting you. Scribd's decision to publish this defamatory content makes it your responsibility to ensure its removal from Google promptly. Holding both the author and the platform accountable for defamation is crucial in such cases. Your immediate attention to this matter is appreciated to avoid further legal action. Thank you. R.M. Good morning, I am reaching out regarding an issue with my Scribd account. Last month, I signed up for a free trial which I later canceled due to not finding the content I needed. I was surprised to see a $10.87 charge for a Membership Subscription on my account balance today. I specifically deleted my Scribd account because I did not want a subscription. Unfortunately, I am unable to remove my card information as my account no longer exists. I have tried to contact Scribd for assistance, but they have informed me it may take up to two weeks for a response. I am concerned about being charged monthly if this continues. I kindly request that Scribd delete my card information and refund the unauthorized charges. Any help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance in advance.

My card ends in [redacted] under Philip J H, at 1 Brooklands Crescent, Sale, Cheshire, M33 3NB, UK. Thank you, Phil H.

After I canceled my account a few months ago, I recently found out that I was still getting charged, despite receiving a confirmation email that the account was closed. I spotted this in late August but decided to keep the account for my son's school needs. After about 2 more months, I revisited my decision and eventually canceled the account. Upon reviewing my account closely, I discovered there was a random email linked to my account. This led me to realize that might be why the charges persisted post my previous cancellation. I updated my password, corrected my email, and canceled my subscription once more. If any additional charges occur, I will take legal action as I was unable to contact anyone to resolve the issue. Shame on you, Scribd, for this unacceptable situation.

I have been a long-time member, but I cancelled for a few months while out of the country from July to November. I noticed various inconsistent charges on my account: $10.71 in April, $9.99 from June to October, and $9.21 on November 13. Despite cancelling, I have been continually billed. I tried to re-subscribe on the site unsuccessfully. I am puzzled by the differing billing amounts and have not received a response to my previous email. Please address this issue promptly. Thank you. My email addresses are [redacted] and [redacted] You can also reach me at [redacted]. Thank you. - Lucy

I find Scribd intriguing as a writer. I explored the site and got the impression that by submitting something, I could get a free membership. I uploaded the cover of my new work, but it didn't seem to grant me access as expected. I was hoping for a different arrangement than just a 30-day trial, especially since I am cautious about spending money on this currently.

I couldn't access your service without providing a credit card. After being unable to log in, I found out you've been charging me $9.99 monthly. I canceled the trial the same day I signed up as it didn't meet my needs. Kindly close my account and reimburse all fees. I will dispute these charges. Email: [redacted], Phone: [redacted]. Thank you.

Upon reviewing my credit card statement, I noticed recurring monthly charges for a subscription I do not recall signing up for. After confirming with my credit card company that the subscription is under my name only, I attempted to log into the account using my email address but was unsuccessful as it was not recognized. I am unsure how long I have been making these payments, and I have no recollection of ever utilizing this service. I feel silly for not noticing this earlier but would like to discontinue the charges without the hassle of canceling my credit card if feasible. Thank you.

I signed up for SCRIBD on November 22, [redacted]. I later asked for a refund as I didn't find what I needed. I used my card ending in #[redacted] for the payment. After that, a payment processor emailed me, stating the refund would happen in 1 or 2 billing cycles. It's been more than 2 billing cycles now, and I still haven't gotten the refund. I would appreciate it if the refund could be processed as soon as possible. Thank you, Pedro B.

I am experiencing an issue accessing my Scribd books and audios. Upon logging in, I am informed that I am not a paying member, although I have been consistently paying through Apple for many years on a monthly basis. Scribd mentions a two-week waiting period to address such issues, which means I am paying for a week of no access and potentially two more weeks until my concern is resolved. I have contacted support through multiple emails and I am optimistic that the problem might be resolved if they can locate my payment history under a different email address. However, the lengthy wait time for assistance is quite frustrating.

I initially downloaded this app to read a book that was not available in my local library. I tried the free trial for a period I cannot recall. However, I realized that I did not have enough time to read the book, so I thought I had canceled my subscription, which was my mistake. Recently, I discovered that the app charged my account again, even though I had deleted it. I believe this charge was for allowing me to finish the remaining time on a different device. I am upset and confused because £10 was debited without warning, and it did not show up in my Apple subscriptions. I tried to stop the subscription from my account, but I am unsure if I did it correctly. I want to understand why money was taken despite my previous full payment. I also did not receive any email notifications about the charge. I had forgotten about the account since there was no activity on it, but I had to pay. I would like a refund as this unexpected charge was frustrating for me.

I didn't sign up for this service, but my credit card was compromised and a recurring charge was initiated without my knowledge. Despite checking the website, there is no record of an account in my name. I have already closed the card, but the recurring charge continued on the new account. I plan to dispute the current charge and inform the company to cease the charges.

Subject: Unauthorized Charges and Account Discrepancy Hello, I recently received a notification from Discover about a charge of $92.00 made by your company, which I am disputing. Upon investigation, it appears that I have been charged $92.00 by your company since [redacted], despite my lack of knowledge or account with you. I have never utilized your services or logged in to any account associated with your company. I urge you to take the following actions promptly: 1. Cancel any potential subscription linked to my name. 2. Provide detailed information regarding any alleged account, including account number for verification. 3. Share any account activity that has transpired. 4. Furnish records of account creation and billing notifications. I have recently started receiving notifications for all charges on my Discover account, which is how I detected this issue. Previously, charges may have gone unnoticed, especially during times of increased transactions like the holiday season. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. Sincerely, J.B. [redacted]

I am disappointed with the way you define "unlimited books." I listened to three books, only to find that all the sequels I want are mysteriously unavailable until after my subscription renews. This practice seems deceptive and unfair to customers who may not realize what is happening. I cannot support this kind of behavior. Instead of falling for this scheme, I would rather explore other services like Audible and audiobooks.com, which offer a more transparent approach. I hope the Better Business Bureau investigates your company for taking advantage of readers looking for affordable options. I would appreciate a logical explanation for this situation but doubt I will receive one.

Dear Sir or Madam, I participated in Scribd's 60-day free trial, as demonstrated in the attached files. My account should not have been charged during this trial period. However, I noticed two unauthorized deductions of $8.99 each, which should not have occurred. I signed up for the trial on Jan 23rd and canceled it the same day, as evident in the attached documents. Under Swedish consumer protection laws, I have the right to cancel any service within 14 days. I expect a resolution to this matter promptly. Should my concerns not be addressed, I will escalate this issue to the Swedish consumer protection agency. Best regards, Pantea F.
