I have been trying to reach a representative at NCDES for over a week. Each time I call, I face wait times of 2 hours or more. Now, I can't even contact NCDES on Mondays due to a new policy. When I called on a busy day, I was told to try again later and then got disconnected with no alternative. Once, I had the chance to opt for a call back to keep my place in the queue. But when the agent called back, we got disconnected after a few minutes. Even though I was still on the line, the agent wasn't. Upon retrying, I had to endure lengthy wait times without any callback option.

I have repeatedly selected "discharged" as my reason for no longer working at Hanes because it appeared to be the best choice initially, as the option "Otherwise I would have been fired" was not initially available. After the error was revealed during a review, I promptly corrected it, but unfortunately, my case has still not been resolved. Additionally, I was incorrectly asked to confirm receiving money from self-employment, which is not true. I have submitted the necessary documents to rectify this. It has been a month since my position at Hanes was outsourced, and I have been unable to access the link to file my weekly certifications for much-needed financial support. Despite numerous attempts to reach someone at NC Employment, I have been disconnected after waiting for over two hours each time. I am frustrated with the inefficiency of the system and demand a prompt resolution, or I will escalate this matter to Charlotte TV stations for attention.
