I have not received any unemployment benefits since September 10. I received a letter requesting information regarding a job I accepted and relinquished after 5 working days. I explained that the job was unsuitable, but no one from the office contacted me for further details. I was previously employed at The Walmart Transportation Office for 20 years, and transitioning to a new environment at Holmes Security has been challenging. I feel penalized for attempting to find suitable employment. I apply for over 10 jobs weekly, documenting at least 3 as required, and recertify each week. Please advise on how I can continue receiving benefits until I secure a new job.
Thank you,
D. Moniz

I submitted my claim on October 3, [redacted], and have been completing my weekly certifications. I received a letter stating that I am eligible for benefits. I tried calling multiple times without success, so I am now attempting to email for assistance. I would like to confirm if there is anything further required from my end. Can you confirm if you have all the necessary information from me? When can I expect to receive my initial payment? I am seeking clarification and guidance on the process to ensure that all required steps have been completed correctly and that my payment is being processed. I eagerly await a response regarding the timeline for receiving my first payment. Thank you.

I submitted my claim back in May [redacted] and have been patiently waiting for a response. Despite reaching out and being advised to wait 8 weeks, it's now well beyond that timeframe. While they said they moved my application up the list, I have not received any updates via email or phone. I have diligently documented my job search as I urgently require the funds, especially for my two young daughters. Your prompt response would be highly valued. Thank you.

Hello, I am Lauri Vandenberg using claimant ID# [redacted]1 with confirmation number [redacted].
I recently made an error on my unemployment application regarding the nature of my employment with Ross Nash, Cosmetic Dentistry for the Carolina's. I mistakenly marked it as a per diem/staffing agency when, in fact, it is my regular job. I work there Monday to Wednesday since starting in July [redacted]. The temporary fill-in position was at Chauvin & Chauvin DDS.
Additionally, I have a part-time position at Nash speaking/consulting, which occurs 4-5 weekends a year.
I have been trying to reach you by phone but understand the high call volume. My concern is reaching you to discuss this matter.
On my claimant homepage, it states that benefits are on hold awaiting additional information. There are issues delaying payment related to lay off/lack of work and separation pay.
I am unsure of the next steps to take and apologize for any inconvenience. This is my first time filing for unemployment, and I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
Thank you,
Lauri Jo Vandenberg

My application is currently pending. I have been attempting to reach someone by phone without success. Additionally, the amount of money I am told to receive if approved is $[redacted].00 a week, which seems low considering my long work history of over 50 years. This is my first time applying for unemployment, and I am puzzled by the amount. I have been residing in NC for nearly three years and working consistently at Sport Durst Automotive, Performance BMW, and currently at ADUSA (Auction Direct USA). Can someone please contact me regarding this matter? Thank you.

Yesterday, on April 1, [redacted], I attempted to create a user account but encountered an issue when entering my password. The activation link provided in the email expired after one attempt, and I am unable to request a new one. I tried calling the [redacted] number for assistance but was repeatedly disconnected without any explanation. On my last attempt, selecting a different option (option 5) led to an announcement stating it was an invalid selection. I recognize that there may be a high volume of calls, but the lack of communication and support is disappointing, and the constant disconnections are unprofessional.

On April 1st, I, J. Michael, spoke to a representative regarding filing for unemployment due to reduced work hours caused by the Coronavirus. I provided all my details, but upon attempting to access the website provided, I encountered issues with my username. Despite trying to reset it, the system indicates I already have an account. My username is Wisdom90, and my password is Jacqueline@60. I seek assistance in resolving this matter promptly. My contact number is [redacted]. I work part-time at a doctors office in North Carolina for Spartanburg Regional Health System. The phone lines are congested due to the high volume of inquiries. I am reachable at home after 1 p.m. Thank you for your help.

I am currently applying for unemployment benefits in North Carolina because of temporary work loss related to Covid-19. However, I am encountering an error on the employment certification screen stating that I need to enter at least one separation when clicking "NEXT." I think I made a mistake earlier and need assistance in resolving this issue. I would appreciate it if my claim could be reset so I can begin again or if any necessary steps could be taken to rectify the error. Please feel free to reach out via email for further guidance or clarification.

I submitted my claim 5 weeks ago after being laid off by my NC employer in February. Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with the separation pay I received when laid off from a previous job in California in November [redacted]. This has caused a delay in my benefits. One of the issues flagged on my claim has been resolved, but the separation pay matter is still pending. Despite my efforts to contact DES, I haven't received clarification. I have provided explanations and sent messages through the internal messaging service on the website, but the situation remains unresolved.

My name is Heidi Sonnichsen, and I work at Shore Décor in Morehead City, NC. I have been unemployed since March 30th at 5 p.m. when the governor's orders shutdown all non-essential businesses. I've been trying to reach customer service since creating my account on March 31st, but they are understaffed and unable to answer my calls. After many attempts, I finally managed to log in despite being locked out before. When I filed for unemployment last week, I stated I was laid off since March 30th, but I can't certify the previous weeks ending April 4th and April 11th. The automated system keeps telling me I've only verified the week ending April 18th. I need assistance to resolve this issue, please help me.

I have encountered issues with my account since I applied on March 22nd. Initially, my account stated that I was ineligible, but it did not list my current employer. The website was consistently crashing when I first tried to file, which may have caused some complications. Despite attempting to appeal the decision, no progress was made, so I submitted another claim in April. It has now been two months since March 22nd, and I have not received any updates. I have struggled to reach anyone for assistance. I have conversed with various individuals through the chat feature on the Department of Economic Security (DES) website, and they acknowledged the problem but were unable to resolve it. I have attempted to contact the claims department numerous times daily since March 31st, but have not even been placed in the hold queue. I am extremely frustrated by this situation and urgently require assistance.

I am requesting a DES claims representative to contact me regarding an ongoing issue with my weekly benefits. It seems my income was incorrectly calculated, resulting in me receiving less than what I am entitled to. I have submitted my [redacted] tax return and [redacted] to verify my income. While I should be receiving $[redacted] per week, I am only getting $[redacted], causing a significant loss of $[redacted] over the past 10 weeks. My Claim ID is [redacted]0, and my last four social digits are [redacted]. The necessary documents have been uploaded to My Documents on the website for reference. Please address this matter promptly.

Hello, my name is Jessica A. Hunt, and my claimant ID is [redacted]3. I require assistance with problems related to my weekly certifications. I did not receive payments for 4/11 and 4/04 because of incorrect or missed questions. The responses should remain consistent each week as my workplace has been closed since March 24, [redacted]. I reached out to customer service regarding this issue and was provided with an email address to address these missed payments. Any assistance on this matter would be highly valued.

After my Pandemic Unemployment Assistance claim was processed, I noticed it did not cover the entire period of my unemployment. I had to contact customer service by phone as the website was not helpful initially, and the representative I spoke to lacked professionalism and missed crucial information on my claim, causing delays.
I expected to receive retroactive payments from the start of my unemployment, but they were not included. While others have received their full retroactive payments, my claim did not adjust accordingly. Contacting customer service during the active claims process did not yield results, as they were unable to make changes and only forwarded my concerns to the Department of Economic Security (DES).
I am seeking guidance on how to directly access an agent who can resolve this issue promptly and ensure I receive the retroactive payments I am entitled to.

Upon first applying for unemployment insurance, I had to endure a 7-week delay before receiving any payments. I am currently on an extension, yet I have gone 6 weeks without any payment. The recurring issue seems to stem from my military retirement benefits, which I have received for the past 20 years. Each month end becomes a struggle all over again. When I truthfully disclose that I am a retired US Air Force pensioner, my payments are delayed. It has now been six weeks without any pay due to the same reason. It is unfair that veterans are facing this punishment. My pension should not impact my unemployment insurance. The Department of Labor needs to address and rectify this ongoing problem that is affecting veterans like myself.

I am encountering issues with the DES system and unable to access the financial support I need for unemployment. The current situation, exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis, has made it challenging to secure employment. Despite being allowed to draw unemployment benefits after losing my job on March 23, [redacted], I feel let down by the lack of assistance from the system. As a 65-year-old Caucasian male, a former veteran who has diligently contributed to the system, the $[redacted].00 weekly unemployment payment is insufficient. The system's failure to provide further resources or assistance is unacceptable to me and others facing similar challenges. The system must undergo serious restructuring to effectively support citizens in need like myself.
Sincerely,
Bennie Harden Jr

As an employer at Integrative Therapies, Inc. located in 7 E Greensboro, NC [redacted] with Tax ID 56 [redacted] and EAN [redacted], I recently received communication from a former employee Valerie Kerekes (SS# [redacted]-42-[redacted]) claiming the state of NC is requesting money, assuming she is still employed with our company. Valerie resigned in [redacted] and now runs her own business. It seems there might be a mix-up with tax IDs and employers. We utilize Paychex for payroll and have ex-employees listed as inactive. This situation is concerning, and I aim to help Ms. Kerekes resolve this issue promptly. Please note that no payments have been made to her by Integrative Therapies since [redacted].

I've been attempting to enroll for an online certification but have encountered issues. When I try to sign up, I receive an error message mentioning my account is revoked. Conversely, when I attempt to sign in, I'm informed that the password or username is incorrect. I require guidance on accessing my account or understanding the necessary steps. According to a representative, during the unemployment application review, certification cannot be completed. Can you advise on the steps forward?

I am writing to share my frustrating experience with the unemployment office. I applied for unemployment on November 28, [redacted] after losing my job at Long Brothers of Summerfield working as a quad axle dump truck driver. I waited 4 to 5 weeks before contacting them and was told they were missing my last check and release letter. I faxed these documents and waited several more weeks. Every time I called, I was informed that my claim was still processing. This went on for weeks with no resolution, and I was not allowed to speak to a supervisor. I feel like I am being discriminated against due to my age of 69. Despite receiving a small amount of social security, it is not enough to cover my expenses. I have struggled financially, even resorting to maxing out my credit card to afford medication. I have been in the construction industry since I was 16 and never needed unemployment before. I have actively looked for work, but weather conditions and lack of hiring opportunities have made it challenging. I recently found occasional work as a contractor, but I believe I am entitled to my unemployment benefits. I attempted to appeal, but was told I couldn't appeal until I was denied benefits. I have diligently completed my weekly certifications and request assistance in receiving my back pay to catch up on bills.
