I think Microsoft should be responsible for replacing or compensating those affected by the issues caused by Windows 10. I had to replace all the PCs in my office, along with my personal notebook and desktop at home, totaling seven devices. This has been a significant financial burden for me, especially after losing clients due to Windows 10 issues, resulting in a loss of about $3,[redacted] per month. While this may not be a substantial amount for someone like Bill Gates, for me, it's the difference between being able to cover my expenses or facing homelessness. Thank you, Microsoft, for this unfortunate "gift" during the holiday season. Does anyone else share my sentiments?

I own an HP Pavilion desktop model p7-[redacted] that came with Windows 7. After upgrading to Windows 10, I encounter a blank screen every time the screensaver activates or the computer goes into sleep mode, requiring me to press "control + alt + delete" to regain access. Microsoft tech support informed me that my computer may not be compatible with Windows 10. I am searching for a solution to avoid having to restore my system. Thank you for your help.

I have an HTC 8X Windows Phone running on 8.0 software and am trying to access my AOL mail account. When I attempted to sign in, I received a message stating that my account isn't enabled to sign in from apps that do not meet modern security standards, such as older versions of mail and calendar apps like Outlook. The sign-in attempt from my phone (IP Address: [redacted].56.4.82) was blocked on May 29, [redacted] at 10:04:52 AM PDT. AOL recommends using their apps, like AOL Mail on desktop and mobile, for added security, and advises against using less secure sign-ins which may compromise account safety. To make the account more secure, I was directed to a help page stating to switch to a more secure app or enable less secure sign-ins if necessary through the provided link.

I have recently received numerous calls in the last two days with a recorded message claiming my Windows license is at risk due to a compromised IP address. The message prompts to "press 1" to speak with a technician, which I have always declined. I suspect it's a scam and am curious about the intentions behind the "press 1" instruction. I've refrained from engaging further out of caution. I worry that this could be a scheme to trick individuals into divulging personal information, including banking details. The calls display my name and number without identifying the caller, adding to my suspicion. I would like to warn others about this and hope to learn if others have encountered similar situations. Thank you. Lucie G.

I recently won a major Sweepstakes prize, but unfortunately, $5,[redacted] was taken by a person named Raj Raschul in front of me. I am seeking assistance to have the stolen amount returned. I am also concerned as to how someone I have previously warned Microsoft about was able to access my account and steal from it. I find this situation unacceptable and wish to know which Immigration Office in California Raj Raschul reports to so I can address this matter directly with the proper authorities. Raj, rest assured you will not be able to use any of the money you took.

My computer displayed a window claiming to be Windows Defender with torrents flashing, causing me to contact a phone number, [redacted]. The person I spoke to from supposed Windows technical help conducted scans remotely and mentioned potential foreign hackers. After being on hold for an extended period, I searched for Windows technical support and found another number, [redacted], which also put me on hold for a long time. I am looking to speak with a live person who can verify the legitimacy of the situation, run a scan, and recommend any necessary firewall measures. The initial technician quoted me $[redacted] for a one-time fix or $[redacted] for yearly security, which I found excessive, leading me to question how my computer was accessed.

I recently ran a registry cleaner software, "CCleaner," on my Windows 10 PC, as I've used it before without issues. Unfortunately, after restarting, my PC fails to boot past the splash screen. I have connected the desktop's SSD to my laptop and found the .reg backup file. I am unsure how to use it without accidentally altering my laptop. I've heard about "RegBack," a built-in restore point feature. Can I utilize RegBack in this situation, and if so, how can I do it effectively?

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 S, thinking I could find Quicken in the app store, only for it to not work once I tried to open it. After deleting Windows 10 S and upgrading to Windows 10 Pro, Quicken would download but kept giving me an error [redacted] code when I tried to install it. Windows 10 S policy does not allow returns once you switch out of it, which might be contributing to the issue. I've attempted to reinstall Quicken multiple times and have checked community forums for solutions, but nothing has worked. I'm currently using my laptop for now, but it's been over three weeks. Any help would be appreciated. - C Channing

My email account has been locked out, and despite receiving codes [redacted] and [redacted], I cannot find where to input them. The codes expire in 10 minutes, and the provided site simply confirms my locked status. The phone number given leads to automated questions that do not address the problem. I am frustrated as I cannot access my email to receive further instructions. I am seeking help from a live representative to resolve this issue promptly.

I accidentally have two subscriptions to Office [redacted] but only need one. The original subscription was under the name of Microsoft [redacted] with the email [redacted] I want to cancel this first subscription but need help since I can only see evidence of the second subscription in my account. I had issues with my Windows password and tried to change it with the help of Microsoft over the phone, but the software still wouldn't accept it. Despite multiple attempts at Best Buy, the problem persisted. The staff couldn't resolve it, and luckily, I received a refund. Although I purchased new software for Quicken, E-mail, and Word, I can only use them online as they won't install. The most concerning issue is the corruption of my Turbo Tax files and the denial of access to important files like photos, videos, and legal documents. I am willing to pay to have my computer fully functional, but unfortunately, no one seems able to assist me.

I received a concerning notice this morning stating that my Windows PC has been infected. It mentioned that my Facebook and email correspondence, credit and bank information, and files on my computer are at risk. The notice advised me to contact technical support at 1-[redacted]. Even though all security options show no warnings, I am unsure if this notice is really from Windows or if it is a scam due to the incorrect grammar used. Can someone please provide some insight on this?

I have been encountering an issue with Microsoft Outlook Express for the past 2 days. Each time I attempt to retrieve new email, I receive a POP3 Server error. Despite multiple hours spent with tech support confirming my email and password are not the cause, the error persists. I can access my email on my cell phone, but I prefer direct access on my home computer. Though tech support connected me through Yahoo mail, I seek assistance to resolve the problem directly. Requesting a support technician to contact me to assist in resolving this frustrating issue. Direct support is preferred over online solutions. Thank you. - K.N.

I recently bought a Microsoft fingerprint login reader, model [redacted]. I received a CD to install the driver. When I tried to load it, I got a message saying "unknown publisher" and suggesting that I contact the publisher for an updated version. I bought it for Windows XP but can't activate it. The reader was meant for Windows XP and now I'm using Windows 7. Although it looks great, I can't seem to get it to work on my Windows 10 Pro system. Whenever I try to do something, it says the driver is unavailable. How can I find an available driver? Any help would be appreciated. - Rick

I purchased the Premium MS Solitaire but since November, I have been seeing ads due to changes made by MS. I have reached out to MS support multiple times without success. Microsoft, please resolve this issue or contact me with a practical solution instead of suggesting complex online fixes. I am unable to receive special codes via phone.

I encountered an issue while setting up my new computer. Initially, I tried to avoid using my existing Microsoft account but ended up using it as prompted. The setup process stalled, and I attempted to log in using a different account without success. After providing a Gmail address for verification, the email link led to an invalid account message on Microsoft's page. I then tried using another existing account on the computer and am now unable to log in, as I am not receiving new verification codes on the email initially provided. I am considering resetting the computer to start afresh, but I am currently stuck at the sign-in stage, unsure of how to proceed with my seemingly unusable new computer.

My daughter gave me her old HP Pavilion over a year ago thinking she had removed all her personal data, but I keep receiving pop-ups indicating an issue with one of her accounts for work or school that needs attention. We tried resolving it, but she forgot her password. I want to address this problem, erase all her data from the laptop, and restore it to peak performance.

I am experiencing issues with my Hotmail account. On January 16, [redacted], my phone was hacked, and I received a message about transferring my phone number from AT&T. This was followed by unauthorized transactions from my bank account via Venmo to my daughter, who also faced a similar situation with her phone.
While the banking problems have been resolved, I am now dealing with accessing my Hotmail email, which is linked to my Venmo account. Despite contacting Outlook and attempting the recovery form, I have been unsuccessful in regaining access. It seems the hacking incident may have impacted my ability to access my email.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
L. Longsdon
