I recently experienced two extremely unpleasant interactions with a cashier at the Michael's store in Leesburg, VA. Despite the cashier's rude words, I tried to ignore it. However, during both visits, I encountered issues with the cashier's behavior. I repeatedly declined to provide my phone number, yet I was persistently asked to register it for approximately 3 minutes. Additionally, I was unable to use a valid store coupon because the cashier was apparently upset about my refusal to provide my phone number. Furthermore, she not only dropped my change and receipt on the counter with force, but she also threw my change so fiercely that the coins bounced off the counter surface. This incident compelled me to reach out to express my dissatisfaction as such behavior should not be tolerated.

I recently had a disappointing experience at the Freemansburg Ave. Bethlehem PA location. I went shopping there needing several items, spent over an hour, and then waited in line with many customers. Despite the long line, only one register was open while workers wandered the store. Eventually, a clerk made her way to the register, but after five minutes of inactivity, I left my full cart behind and left. Shopping there was a total waste of time. I plan to visit the Michael's store in NJ to get my items and hopefully not have to endure another long wait in line. Frustrated by the poor service at this location.

I had a frustrating experience at your Brookfield store. The cashier was difficult to understand, mumbled, and gave incorrect information. When I requested a supervisor, they did not resolve the issue. I left feeling irritated. Is this the norm for customer service at Michael's? Even though this was regarding a $5 sign-up, I ended up spending over $40. I would like a follow-up email regarding this matter.

Today, I had an unfortunate experience at your store which led me to decide to take my business elsewhere. The cashier I encountered did not accept my valid coupon and insisted I needed a mobile app despite my attempts to show her the coupon on my camera. This interaction was frustrating and unhelpful. I would like to address the issue with cashier Danielle at the Columbus Crossing Shopping Center location in Philadelphia.
Due to this incident, I will be shopping at Walmart instead of Michaels. I miss the customer service at ACMoore, where I felt valued and appreciated. Additionally, there seems to be an issue with rewards not showing up in my account despite multiple store purchases.
To remedy this situation, I am requesting a 30% off coupon as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused. I also ask for a small gift certificate to compensate for the troubles with my email account and my husband’s AppleID due to the unnecessary demand made by your cashier.

On 3/29, I bought a Cricut Explorer Air 2 Boysenberry cutting machine online for in-store pickup with a 2-year extended warranty. The transaction was smooth initially, but on 4-1, the new machine wouldn't turn on. After multiple calls, I was told to deal with Michael's and then the warranty company. Eventually, the store manager agreed to replace the defective machine with a peacock color one. However, the extended warranty company stated they couldn't cover it due to the color change, requiring me to purchase another warranty. Feeling let down by both Michael's and Extend, I contacted them with no resolution. I believe their customer service could have been better by not passing the responsibility back and forth. If the replacement machine had the same color, this problem wouldn't have occurred. Now, I'm disappointed in the entire experience and unlikely to purchase an extended warranty again. I recently visited Michael’s Store and found a black Halloween tree with a pumpkin on the box in a section marked 90% off. However, at the cash register, it scanned at 50% off instead of the advertised discount. The cashier explained it was only 75% off, which was another discrepancy. Unfortunately, I was unable to buy the item at the advertised price. I reached out to the store's customer service, but they were unable to help with in-store issues, stating they couldn't assist with in-store experiences.

I am disappointed that Michaels decided to discontinue Anchor embroidery floss on spools. I had purchased every color when it first started being sold, and I used it in several designs. I preferred it over DMC, which I have been using for over 50 years. I even stopped using DMC and was transitioning to Anchor spools because I liked it so much. I shared my positive experience with Anchor on Facebook, and other stitchers in my groups began using it after hearing about it. Many people were unaware of Anchor spools before. I noticed the empty storage slots for Anchor at Michaels, where it was more affordable than JoAnns. I usually shop at two different Michaels locations in Daytona, FL, and Palm Coast, FL. I really hope Michaels will bring back Anchor spools. Thank you, Michele H.

I had an exceptional experience at Michael's in Alpharetta, Georgia today. The lady who assisted us, named Trilene, provided outstanding care and reception. She and the manager were the only staff present, but her exceptional service stood out. Even other customers in line praised her. We drove over an hour in the rain to reach this store and would gladly do it again for such fantastic service. All your employees are friendly and helpful. Well done Michael's! I received my order today, but unfortunately, three of the Birdhouses with the Chimney and Picket Fence are broken. I would appreciate it if I could get replacements for these three Birdhouses. I need all three replacements to be the ones with the Chimney and Picket Fence. Kindly inform me of the delivery date as we plan to use them for a Marketing function on June 13th.

I purchased 6 shadow boxes from Michaels. Unfortunately, the package was severely damaged upon arrival. Despite the rough treatment, I hoped the frames inside were intact. To my disappointment, the items were poorly packed with glass frames stacked on Styrofoam padding and no protective layers between them. I tried contacting customer service for help, but I couldn't get through and didn't receive a promised call back. All 6 frames were damaged, and I haven't received any resolution. I am frustrated with this experience and intend to avoid shopping with this company in the future.

I frequently shop at Michaels for my resin and paint supplies, but I consistently face difficulties at the Warner Robins Store in GA. On July 28, I visited the store to use a 40% off coupon which wouldn't scan, a recurring issue there. The long line was caused by this problem, with no additional staff available at the registers. Even when a Manager intervened and rang up my items, he failed to apply the discount, mentioning it wouldn't work with a screenshot. I haven't encountered similar problems at the Pinehurst or Jacksonville stores. The ongoing issues at the Warner Robins location are pushing me to consider shopping at Hobby Lobby instead, despite liking Michaels' reward program. I find myself questioning if it's worth the struggle every time I check out. I am frustrated and disappointed with this experience.

I bought 4 strings of Ash UL 30CT CLR G [redacted]00 on 07/18/[redacted] for $4.49 each from Michael's. Visited Roseville store #[redacted] on 8/15/[redacted] to exchange 1 defective string. Customer service clerk accidentally dropped and broke the lights during return. Found replacement lights but they were no longer on clearance and rang up at $44. The manager was rude and unhelpful, not allowing the exchange due to clearance issue. Left without replacement lights feeling disappointed by the manager's behavior. Hope Michael's trains their managers to be more courteous and professional. Disappointed by the negative experience at a store I've loved for over 30 years.

When I called back, the lady who answered was abrupt and unhelpful, claiming they only call about framing orders. When I mentioned my identity being stolen, she was dismissive and uncooperative. I recently had an unpleasant experience at the Henrietta, New York Michaels store. During checkout, there was an error message when the cashier tried to scan for my rewards, causing me to lose them. It seems that some of the cashiers may not be properly trained. I remember being told previously that entering my phone number would trigger my rewards, which may explain the delay. Moreover, I only seem to notice my rewards when they have already expired. It would be helpful to receive an email notification when rewards are available to prevent this issue. I have missed out on several rewards due to this. I am hoping for a resolution to this situation as I am a dissatisfied customer.
